The whole trip went smoothly from start to finish. Communication was thorough and questions were answered very quickly. I had an unforgettable adventure and got to meet great people who made the experience much more enjoyable than if I would have done the trip solo.

I went on the 8 days hike in Albania and it was awesome!
The accommodation was ok. The chosen trails were really nice, we had only in 1 day bit too many people(at the blue eye) also hiking, but the rest of the trails were quite peaceful and the landscape breath taking.
Our guide was Saimir, who is also part of the Mountain Rescue in Albania. He took care of all of us to have a good time and made sure we do things in a safe way. It really helped to see he's so knowledgeable and experienced.

The way Trailmatesadventures communicated and dealt with logistics was 5 stars also: prompt replies and nice local tips.

I went to Theth, Albania with Trailmates adventures in August 26. It was such a nice trip. The local guide Saimir was very good, knowledgeable and outgoing. Theth and the surroundings, also all the hikes, were very beautiful. It required a good level of fitness, especially because it was so warm (sunny and 30 degrees) - but Trailmates also announces that in the description of the trip. The food was good, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Theth - so the whole group tried a new restaurant every night. I can warmly recommend Trailmates adventures

I went on the trip to Theth, Albania, in August 2026. I enjoyed every moment of this trip. I loved Albania, the landscapes are terrific, the food incredibly tasty. The organisation was perfect, Garry was always available via WhatsApp to answer questions about anything. All the infos about the next day's hike were sent the evening before. The accomodation was very comfortable, the hiking mates became new friends, and the guide Saimir was really attentionate and warm-hearted, I felt safe during the whole trip. I would definitely go for another trip with Trailmates in the future!

The trip to Georgia was absolutely magical! We could not have wished for a better guide than Giorgio. He was a lot of fun and made every hike worth remembering. Also, the group and the Panorama hotel (and staff) were fantastic. I am very happy that i discovered Trailmates. The trip was the perfect combination of hiking in beautiful nature, having a good time with your trail mates and discovering local culture.

We spent a week (18.-25.07.2026.) in the Scottish Highlands with Trailmatesadventures.
The itinerary itself was excellent, everything was fantastically organized.
Garry delighted us as a guide, he was always friendly, approachable, full of useful advice and super organized.
He adapted to each member of the group, allowing all of us to have a wonderful memory of our first visit to the Highlands.

I had a great time, Slovenia was beautiful, the guides were great and the hikes were challenging but manageable.

The trip was well-organised and thought through. The hikes and the nature were amazing! The guides Paulo and Eliza were very knowledgeable, friendly and easy-going.
The whole schedule was perfectly balanced between more challenging and moderate trails, so it was enjoyable for people with different hiking experiences. Big shoutout to the Trailmates Adventures Team, definitely recommend and will use again.

I am not a regular hiker but for a beginner it was still an overall very good experience. I was with trailmates for a week in Ireland in July. The hikes were beautiful and pretty manageable.
Gary and Richard (the guide) both were really good with the arrangements, the communication and planning and also helping a novice like me when needed during the hike. We were a group of 8 which was a good number to get to know everyone during the hike and develop good companionship, especially since I won’t personally hike alone anyways.
The only few things for me personally was if you are not used to hiking it can be quite tiring by the end of the multi day hike. Also staying at the hotel at Castleisland was a bit boring since there is not much to do or explore after the hikes everyday in that little town/village. Good thing I carried my book with me.

I might join them again next year especially if there is something fun in South America :)

Hiking in Montenegro

I had a fantastic time with Trailmates Adventures in Montenegro😊.
Everything was well organized.
Vera, our guide in Durmitor did a great job. You can tell that she loves her country and her job! It was so much fun exploring Durmitor with her. She new the trails and always adjusted them to our needs and the weather conditions. On our day off, she helped us to book another activity.

The hotel was good. We had enough space, it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only the kitchen in the Apartment could be equipped a little better.

I also liked being with an international group and not only with people from Germany.

I can honestly recommend booking a trip with Trailmates Adventures.

Had the best trip with Trailmates.
Everything was perfect from the pickup and the local guide was amazing.
I can only recommend this if you like to hike and meet new people

Everything was great. I really enjoyed my trip; it was one of my best trips so far and made one of my dream trips come true. It will be great to join another trip with Trailmates again one day for sure 😊

This is the first time I have done a solo hiking, group trip and I have to say I was a bit unsure but as soon as I landed in Madeira I was welcomed and taken of by the Trailmates team. I travelled with Trailmates Adventures to Montenegro July 2026. Best trip ever!

Hiking with Trailmates Adventures is an incredible experience. I really appreciate how everything was well organized and taken care of. From the communication before purchasing the trip to communication during and after the trip, everything was smooth and friendly, and no questions seemed unwelcome. I felt welcomed and informed all through.
Before taking off, I received emails with detailed information, about what to pack, what to expect from the weather and also a nice list with suggestions of restaurants, things to do on the day off and amenities in the neighborhood. All things that prepared me for the best stay in Montenegro both during the hike and also afterwards.
I thought the idea of a WhatsApp group beforehand was a great way to connect with the rest of the group and we used it frequently during the days of our hike. Our local guide Vera was the best, caring, thoughtful and astute and she quickly got an idea of the way our group was wired. She made sure we were always prepared, by informing us what to expect from the next day’s hike and she never let anyone behind while on the trail. She prepared and changed routes after weather conditions, so that we got to enjoy the best way possible.
As the oldest in the group, I felt included, never left behind and cared for. Kudos to Trailmates Adventures!
I look forward to my next travel with them, definitely this will not be my last hike with them :-)

Just spent a great week with Trailmates Adventures in Ireland, county Kerry.
That was a great first experience for me and I hope I'll be able to join another trip in the future.
At the beginning of the week, especially when we stopped for a little while in Killarney, I thought that it was a shame not to be lodged in a more lively place. But after a while I decided that it was okay like that; more peaceful and better chances to spend time in the evening with the other participants.
Concerning the hikes, they were great. Challenging but not too much, and we walked at a comfortable pace. And the views were stunning !
Garry and Richard's company was great 👍. Excellent atmosphere and very nice anecdotes from pour very nice guide Richard ☺️.

I have just returned from the Dolomites with Trailmates Adventures. It was a wonderful, well organised and truly memorable trip. I hiked with a lovely group of people and our guide Luca was excellent and knowledgable. Booking was easy and straightforward with any questions being answered very quickly. I would definitely use this company again.

I travelled with Trailmates adventures to the Dolomites this summer.
Everything was well organized and worked smoothly.
Our guide for the week was Luca, who was amazing! Always friendly, with super energy and happy to answer any questions. He made sure everyone had a good time whilst staying safe. He also helped us organize things to do on our free day.
The hikes were a very good mix of different areas and difficulties and I liked that everyone could go at their pace, while still sticking together, when necessary.
The hotel was great, esp. the big breakfast buffet.
They'll definitely see me again travelling with Trailmates adventures, exploring more mountains :)

Just came back from a trip to Dolomites with Trailmates Adventures - everything was very well organised, we had a wonderful guide (Luca) and I feel like I met many likeminded people on the trip. Hikes were moderate to challenging and Luca made sure everyone felt safe on the trail and had a great time no matter your hiking experience. Any questions or queries we had before and throughout the trip were always very promptly answered. Accommodation was simple but very clean and conveniently located and had everything we needed (great breakfasts too). Would 100% recommend joining their trips, and looking forward to hopefully joining another adventure soon!

I just spent a week hiking in Durmitor National Park in Montenegro with Trailmates Adventures and it was absolutely fantastic! I loved the international group, the hotel was great (spacious apartment, really nice staff, great location in Žabljak so close to Crno jezero/the black lake) and the whole organisation of the trip went perfectly smooth. Garry was always available via WhatsApp when questions came up.

Montenegro has a stunning scenery and the hiking tours really showed us a great variety of the national park and were manageable for all in the group. Vera was a fantastic guide, she really tried to be considerate of everyone and everyone's needs and took care of us and conveyed so much information about the mountains and the country to us.

Absolute recommendation for both Trailmates Adventures and Montenegro!
