This is the worse company ever. My mother passed last year. My father informed me this year my mother had a policy on me. I called and was informed if needed to fill out a W2 form to update my information. Once the form was received a check will be mailed. I called in today, got transferred three times, only to be told by the policy department I will have to fill out another form to close the policy, once the form is received, I will have to call check for them to send the check. This is totally ridiculous. I called to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor refused to come to the phone. I told the agent I would hold and have been holding forever. I was told I should have filled out the form in the beginning, which I was not informed off. Then after they receive the form, i would have to call back for them to send the check.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating and unacceptable experience with Transamerica’s long-term care (LTC) policy administration, and I want to warn others.
I submitted a formal cancellation request in July 2025, proactively followed up with them in Sep 2025, and they still failed to process a valid cancellation request for over 9 months. Here's the summary of my experience:
- Lack of transparency or communication despite repeated follow-ups
- Ghosting customers. Closing customer cases without notifying the policyholder
- Continuing to keep a policy active and charge customer $$$ after a documented cancellation request

If I could give it no stars I would. This company is trash. The people who answer the phone don't understand basic English, they take 90 seconds to say hello hoping you'll hand up and another 30 minutes to get to someone who can understand basic English to answer a 10 second basic question.
They also have no way to file a formal complaint other than filing a negative review which shows how much they don't care about customer service.

OkTerrible company. I'm 100% disabled veteran and they declined my life insurance after 2 weeks. Have a spot free clean record or u will not get accepted. They will check your credit, medical records and background which they will not disclose to you over the phone. I asked if they would pull a credit report and they never answered. The representative never discussed a credit report or a background check. I promise you that.

I had life insurance with TransAmerica for over twenty years until I had a heart attack.’ My heart attack was in July 2025.
We sent our payment in with our statement paying in Advance for one year on 12/22/2025.
I received a notice of cancellation in March of 2026.
My husband called immediately to find out why they sent a cancellation notice. Transamerica told my husband they did not receive payment.. He gave TransAmerica the date the check was mailed and the check number. They said they did not receive the check and that they had cancelled my life insurance policy. My husband offered to pay what they said they had not received at that time and they refuse to take payment. My husband why we had not revived notice of non payment and pending cancellation. They told him that I would need to reapply for my life insurance after 20 years of life insurance with them. Shortly after they sent us the paperwork to apply for reinstatement which we filled out and sent in asap.
We then received a letter of denial due to my heart attack. Do not purchase life insurance unless you can guarantee that you will remain in perfect health until death because they will be turn their back on you and cancel your insurance just as soon as they find out you have had a health issue. Their representative was not willing to help us in any way, He told my husband sorry the policy is cancelled.

I inadvertently paid my life insurance premium twice almost 6 weeks ago. I have been asking them to refund the over payment. I have called 7 times and sent several emails. The only response is that it is under REVIEW and it can take up to 7 business days.
