Easy to use. If you live in an area with a UPS store it's even easier using the QR code. Otherwise, you can print out a label for mailing back. Just fill and drop off. Finally, a place that recycles underwear, unwearables, and oddball textile items with no fuss. Just sent off my second bagful for recycling.

I purchased several bags and filled with items that I couldn't sell at a second hand shop. The bags were easy to fill and mail off at the post office. I was excited about the idea of recycling my clothing but I keep wondering what happens when it goes to another country? Does it end up in a landfill there? I received a bunch of "trashie cash" which when i signed up sounded like I would get decent credits for purchases at stores. I did get very small credits to use at obscure stores, but couldn't redeem all my credit at once, so got 10 dollars off one store, which when I ordered from, it was way more expensive than it should have been. The quality was terrible for the price. The "credit" really was more like a coupon. I could have shopped a sale at a store with much better quality without going through the hassle. In the end, I felt like I basically paid Trashie to take my stuff and it isn’t super clear what happens to it at the end of the day.

I am giving Trashie 5 stars because of the first rate, timely customer service I received about the take back service…….from a real person❤️

I used the Medium Take Back Box to send back 2 phones, 2 iPads and a Kindle. Easier than trying to navigate my city's electronic recycling (or lack of!). The hardest part was figuring out how to assemble the box but Trashie support sent me a video and that worked!

Thank you, Trashie, for providing a service to combat our growing trash problem. The process is simple: they mail you strong shipping bags, which you fill with items heading to the landfill, close up, mail back with the label they provide, and are done. Easy.

One of my transactions wasn't showing up in my rewards. Lakeitha was a tremendous help in getting that reconciled. She was persistent and communicative.

I'm not tech savvy, and was having trouble using the QR codes. I worked with the Help Desk to solve the problem and dropped off my packages as quick as could be.

I was having difficulty recycling items using bags from Bombas. Rin was amazing. They exchanged several emails with me sending me links, giving directions and answering my many questions. Very helpful, kind, knowledgeable service. A wonderful experience!

Buyer beware @trashie has changed its reward policies. In April you could redeem Trashie cash at 1:1 ratio. Now you spend $20 on a bag, receive $30 in trashie cash and it costs $100 in trashie cash for a $10 gift card.

If you want to pay someone to keep no longer useful clothes out of landfill then you might like this otherwise this is pretty useless. I purchased the three pack so with discount I saved a bit but basically 3 bags is $60.00. You are supposed to earn trashie dollars to buy gift cards and discounts from participating vendors. there are very very few gift cards available. Mostly what is available is for you to get xx amount of $$ off a bigger purchase price... basically the standard flyer discounts most of these vendors send out on a regular basis. For 100 trashie points I could get a $10.00 gift card to sephora or Nike. For my three stuffed bags of clothes I received 80 trashie dollars and I had 10 which I got for the promo when signing up so I have a total of 90 trashie dollars. Why I got 80 I don't know because two bags gave me 30 and one bag only gave me 20. Not sure why. So, for the 60.00 I can't even get a $10.00 gift certificate.
Oh they did generously give me a $40.00 off to a company that the cheapest item on their site was $118.00. Wow, thanks Trashie.
I'll continue to give my gently worn clothing to local charities. If I really really feel the need to send the totally worn-out stuff out then maybe I won't mind spending the 20 to help the environment but I'm not going to give them the resalable items.
And even the return label process has some hiccups. First one was easy and texted me the label. 2nd one I don't know what even happened with that one it wants me to take it somewhere I've never heard of. Third one emailed me a label.
I had some back and forth with the folks at Trashie and eventually they even gave me the missing credits so I can if I want to go in and get a $10.00 gift card for either Nike or Sephora if they are still there. I'm not getting to use my third bag as I was never able to sort that out. I stand by the fact that this was not easy, not pleasant and certainly the hype of earning goodies didn't live up to expectations. I'll keep giving to the local charities instead. I wouldn't mind using them to recycle the items that have outlived even their donating value but they are mostly big things like comforters so I'd basically be paying them $20.00 a blanket to recycle it as I'd be hard pressed to fit one of them in a bag. I think it's a great idea but the execution needs some work.

This company is, well, Trashie. I love the idea of it! But I ordered and paid for 6 bags and they sent 3. Then, after following all of the directions, I took two to the post office. The QR codes didn't work - the USPS representative scanned them and said they were unrecognizable. I emailed the company to ask if they could resolve the problem by just sending me mailing labels, and 8 days later I've still received no response. Such a good idea, but I fear this company is a scam.

Super easy to send things in to them for recycling, great customer service when one of our bags got lost, and looking forward to using the rewards!

I'm in the process of cleaning out my closets, and several of the clothing can not be donated, I searched on the internet, and I came across Trashie, and I quickly placed my order. One week later I received my bags, I had just received the first set, and I waited another 2 weeks, I still had not received my second set of bags, so I reached out to Trashie about the issue, and they resolved the matter quickly. I appreciated their promptness. Thanks, Rin!

Barbara replied to my customer query very fast and courteously. The bags do take long time to arrive, but they do eventually arrive. I am completely behind the company and their ethos. I just wish there were a better choice of products to spend one's Trashie cash on.

Excellent customer service- I've had a great experience with this company! They helped me generate shipping labels that expired after I drove around with Take Back Bags in the back of my car for WAY too long- very responsive. Much appreciated!
