Flight from Bangkok to Saigon

Flight from Bangkok to Saigon. No online check in possible, that’s a bit annoying. Besides that everything was okay. It’s a cheap airline so don’t expect a new plane, it will be an old cheap plane but for a short flight that’s alright.

If I could give -1 stars. TERRIBLE.

If I could give -1 stars, I would. This is THE WORST airline I've ever flown.

So we are 3 travellers, we had 2 bags. One weighing 14kg the other weighing 20kg. We purchased 3 tickets and 15kg each (we could not separately change baggage for each passenger, but nevertheless we had a total of 45kg).

So we get to checkin and they say we have to pay to upgrade to 23kg for the 20kg bag. Keep in mind we've paid for 45kg in total, we have only 2 bags totaling 34kg, we were forced to pay 450k vnd to buy more "weight" even though we were under the total weight we originally purchased.

And to top it all off, the staff look at you like you're the dumb one that's never traveled before.

I actually hope this airline goes bankrupt soon, it will be better for the world.

The worst airline i have ever flown…

The worst airline i have ever flown with. At 10pm the night before they cancelled my baggage with no explanation and made me pay 4 times the amount at the airport. Late by 3 hours, wouldn’t let me use my headphones for take off even though I had a bad headache and needed them to help with the pressure.

Avoid like the plague.

Avoid like the plague.

Paid for 2x checked bags and shown payment confirmation at check-in but they refused them and said their system didn't have it. I again showed the receipt breakdown of having already paid. Again, refused.

I then had to pay an additional £30 on top of the £25 I already paid just for them to let ONE bag on. Utterly ridiculously and totally incompetent. Avoid at all costs for your own sanity. Useless staff & airline.

WORST AIRLINE

Went on Vietravel plane from Da Nang to Hanoi on VU638, sat on the seat number 10D and I left my shoulder bag under the seat in front of me. I left the airplane and forgot to take it, I realised on the way to the hotel that I’ve forgotten and went straight back. When u arrived back at the airport and went to the counter, they checked on the system that there was no lost items at all. I am 100% sure that I left it there INSIDE the airplane, and if you leave something INSIDE the airplane than it should be there. They told us that after the plane landed and they did a cleaning sweep, they found nothing. This means that their whole crew is a syndicate BEWARE OF THIS AIRLINE

Burn money

If your looking for a place to burn your money, this is the perfect dumpster fire. We paid for check bag along with our flight, but they will tell you that it's not in their system. Doesn't matter if you have the receipt, or even have "booking.com" confirm over the phone to these guys. I don't understand why their garage system being faulty is our fault, and we gotta pay extra money, not to mention the delay.

Scam central

Scam central. Me and many others at the airport all experienced the same scam that seems to be their business model. Added an extra checked in bag on their website when we checked in the day before online. Our booking on the website showed this extra bag was added. The day of the flight my bank told me the money was refunded. At the airport there was a queue of people in the same situation and all being charged triple the price for a bag because they said we hadn’t added it in advance. They purposefully go slow in da nang airport with their customer service at the vietravel desk so that you just pay the fee to avoid missing your flight. Ms Ngan served me behind the desk and was particularly unhelpful. Also flights delayed. Just avoid this airline

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Me and several others had to pay an extra high price because of some « technical error » done by the airline. No explanation whatsoever.
Worst flying experience ever.
They would give you a window of 9 minutes to respond to the email I sent to the customer service, after I received the refund and the message that my bag didn’t get accepted, the very same day.
I ended up paying 6x the initial price.

Perhaps the worst and most…

Perhaps the worst and most unprofessional airline I ever flew. 5+ hours of delay, when it's time to board, the flight crew weren't even on the plane yet. Their plane is old and outdated. They purchased old airbus model from spirit airways. At baggage claim, it was the only flight arriving but took like 30 minutes for the baggages to arrive on the belt. Overall a terrible experience, would strongly not recommend even though it is a budget airline

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Fly with anyone else at all. Take a bus. Anything is better. Keep claiming 7kg total for backpack and carry on, asked to show where and only showed carry on until 7kg, nothing about personal item. Ridiculous. Scamming people for a living.

Bad and outrageous delay and customer service

My original flight today was supposed to be 21:15 on 2/8 from DANANG TO SAIGON (VU 685)
It was delayed to 22.35 and then delayed once more to 23:05.

My next flight with VietJet Air from Saigon to Taipei is at 1.00 on 2/9 which will be affected and I cannot make it. How can you compensate?

I am a customer and I have the rights to be compensated as I have a business meeting in Taipei the next day.
I am very disappointed and upset.

You have to be responsible and your change of flight status and outrageous delay will cause me to lose/ miss my flight.

I will be waiting for your reply and will send this complain to your web as well until this issue is resolved.

Decent flight expierence

Flew from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh city. Check-in was easy. While standing in the check-in line, I watched how other passenger were treated, and all went smooth and professional, no one had to complain, so I dont understand the bad reviews. Modern Airbus jet, friendly crew. Can only recommend.

Scammed by the company

I had my baggage covered for 12,99. The day before my flight it got canceled due technical error, so I needed to check the baggage online in again. But due another technical error of the company, I could’t check in online. Next day at the airport I needed to check in my baggage again, but now for 50 euro’s?!?! Its insane, you just get scammed by the company and you can’t do anything about it.

Airline with scammer fees

We tried to check into our flight and pre pay for our checked luggage but the website didn’t work. So we checked in at the counter. Viettravel charged us 4x the cost of the checked luggage at the counter compared to online price. They were aware of their website that doesn’t work. The girl at Viettravel said if we emailed or called the customer service number as proof then they would be able to charge us the online price. A multi million dollar airline that flies complex airplanes knowingly has a website that doesn’t work to charge you more. Terrible experience.

AVOID THIS AIRLINES AT ALL COSTS!!!! Clearly their aim is to extort the passengers as much as possible. They charged me and my partner 21€ each for 3kg extra in our backpack at the check-in. We were "assisted" by a woman named DAD in the Da Nang airport on 15/01/25 at 8h30 to Hanoi who didn't even bother to say good morning. Absolutely horrible service provided in every sense of the word. Will never fly with this airline again.

They try to steal money if you are westerner

Simple open day light theft. Cheap and the Airline to avoid. We are small family with 3 passengers. Each one can carry 3 carry on, that can weight up to 7 kilos. We had 3 bags 1 weigh 8 kilos and the other two weigh 6.4 and 4 kilos. The Airline staff Nauy billed us $60 AUD for the extra 1 kilo in one luggage. We need to fight it out to avoid the payment.
