I think 1 star is too much to give this company. I would give them minus 10 stars. These are very deceitful people. They lure you in with cheap prices and then call you to explain that nothing has been charged and that the actual prices of the flights are higher because of a miscalculation of the taxes. They also explain that if you try to buy the tickets directly with the airline, the price shown will also be erroneous and that it is better for you to book the flights through them at the higher price and quickly as the airline will not hold the seats for much longer. Obviously, all the signs of a scam where there. I feel like such an idiot 😖 In this case “Aria Smith”, who happens to be a very helpful woman with the heaviest Indian accent in the history of accents 🤣, scammed me out of £110. Maybe I shouldn’t say scammed as they acted as the middle man and charged £110 for their services; I just think that it was deceitful of them to have processed the purchase of this flight ticket the way they did. If I had check this company and their reviews, then I would have avoided spending that extra money. I’m going to try to report them with google flights as they were who initially directed me to their website, so I would recommend the same to those of you who have been affected by this.

Atrocious

Atrocious, feels very scammy. Booked my flight with them and my first itinerary got me from Manchester to NZ. Then somewhere along the lines a flight was cancelled and rebooked by someone. When I rechecked my itinerary my connecting flight landed in Tokyo on saturday but my flight out leaves the day before, leaving me stranded in Tokyo. I called to get this fixed and almost immediately they told me I could have a refund or pay the taxes to have my flight changed. Why would anyone get a refund this late in the game and be left having to pay double for a new flight? And why should I pay taxes to have it changed? Its not like my flight gets me where I needed to be at an awkward time and I just want to change it, it simply doesn't get me there at all, I'll be stuck in Tokyo. Back and forth this went for a few minutes. I asked to speak to a manager, they said Raymond Brown (the manager) would call me back in 24 hours. 48 hours later there was no call. I called them and spoke to someone else, repeated the same story and was told that Raymond was off sick. was eventually told that I don't need to worry about it and that my flight will be changed and I wont need to pay anything just got to wait another 24hours for it to be updated and someone will call me. No one called me, I called them back 2 days later and spoke to the first person again, I told her I recognised her voice and that she told me ....etc etc. She said that Raymond will be away from work for a week and again offered me a full refund or to pay the taxes or wait for someone to call Finnair and arrange it. I said that someone needs to help me fix it and she said that someone will call me back in 24 hours. I call Finnair myself and had the issue fixed within 15 minutes. An awesome guy called Yoan said that a refund is the last thing that Finnair would offer, there is always something else that they would try first. He said he has had a lot of experience dealing with these agents.

Travelcation still haven't called me back 2 weeks later.

I wouldn't trust Travelcation.uk

The website lists its trustpilot review at 4.2 but brings you to the travelcation.us review page. I found this trustpilot review page seperately.

It's worth noting that there is another website called travelcation.co.uk that looks far more reputable and professional and separate from this travelcation

Scam!!!! Avoid

Scam!
I had the same experience as the other bad reviews! They are definitely trying to scam people buying tickets before Christmas.
They are lying when they are saying ‘this is one of the last seats’. Trying to make you nervous and pay £200 more.

Basically we entered my card details to book the flight but the money was not taken from my account. Then they emailed me asking me to call them. First they said the ticket price has gone up because the airline increased their taxes (haha!), secondly they said something about AML…..

They were pressuring us to buy the more expensive tickets over the phone. The pressuring made me suspicious so I went on trustpilot and found this page. I asked the call centre person ‘have you seen your reviews on trustpilot’ and she said “please hold and I can apply my employee discount to get cheaper tickets” 😅
Trying to divert my suspicion.

They have my card details so I ordered a replacement card straight away, which is really annoying before travelling.

I imagine they would have said the flight was cancelled when the departure date got closer, then they probably would have made it impossible for a refund.

Book directly from the airline website and avoid these people!

Worst experience

Worst experience, booked my flight, got a confirmation email confirming the ticket has been booked, when called to enquire about my e-ticket, they said the airline has cancelled the ticket and the price has gone up, when i went to website to book a flight, price was much cheaper than what they charged me and later asking for £300 extra to re-book the flgiht, AVOID THEM

Lack of professionalism

I am struggling to understand how Travelcation team runs the business and deal with customers, I feel like I am speaking with staff how do not know what to tell me or they just bluff about when they will get back to me with update and progress on my queries. Not a single staff ever got back to me with a definitive answer or satisfy me with a reasonable response.

I have to make multiple phone calls and wait for hours on travelcation landline and even when I get hold of someone the line somehow gets disconnected and making me irritated and anxious that I have to try get hold of someone again and go through the cycle of nuisance. Never had a response through email apart from when it was to take the money.

I am really annoyed and if the flight does not get reschedule in a week then i will raise this with American Express (I paid for this with it) and ATOL as well if I have to.

I tried to get hold of a supervisor or a manager on shift but was told that there is no one available and the customer attended who picked up my call did not have access to the system to see what's happening with my reschedule request, how helpful that is !

AVOID

AVOID. They promoted a very good price for a late booked Xmas trip on a routing that was sold out on other sites 7 days before travel they write and say due to technical issues the booking is cancelled and to call to rebook another route. So now we have to rebook even more expensive flights.

terrible

I bought a tkt, and after a couple of hours they told me the airline didn't confirm my booking as ticket was more expensive (they tried to charge me £200 more)
when I complained, they put the phone down on me.
Then they called me back saying that we got cut off and they looked for a discount, the new price was still £80 more than the original ticket. When I said I didn't want to go ahead with the purchase, but wanted to complain, they hung up on me, again .
do yourself a favour, Never use

Believe the bad reviews

Rude scammers. Cheapest price shown on Skyscanner, rang me 24 hours later to say the airline had bumped up the cost (they obviously hadn't as prices from other outlets were unchanged).

When I asked to cancel the Indian call centre agent hung up on me.

TOTAL SPAM Company !!!!!!

TOTAL SPAM !!!!!!! I booked tickets today which was abruptly cancelled. I don't mind. But, these guys leaked all my bank details and credit card details to a spam company. A guy from the SPAM company called within 2 hours telling about the payment detail I made which was canceled. Very Scary and I had to call my bank to secure the account including the change of cards. Very risky!!!

wrong price

Booked my flight with them and within hours they e-mailed back saying please call back. On calling back they were busy and did not response for long time. finally got through and asked for 10% additional money. Not happy as I lost opportunity to book directly with airline at cheaper rate at the time.

Big scam

Found this website offering 200 pounds cheaper tickets on Google Flight than other travel agents. Filled the details and got contacted via email that I missed their call which did not happen. Called back and got told that taxes were not included in the quote. So I asked for price breakdown several times and the caller from the call centre just kept dodging and demanding me to pay through the website. Then, she hung up on me. 100% scam. Check other reviews too.

Avoid avoid avoid!

I’ve actually tried to book twice now with this company. Two fails.

I initially saw that they had a good trustpilot score (they seem to have two accounts) and as they were cheapest on googleflights I tried to book my flights London to Auckland with them.

They’re pleasant on the phone and seemed legit.

Both times, they’ve sent me a booking confirmation and a message saying they’ll send the tickets soon.

I hear nothing.

I try calling and emailing multiple times, eventually get through and they ask me to hold for two minutes while they check for my flight. Half an hour later I’m still on hold. Hang up to call them again and they won’t answer my calls.

Both times they said there’s been a processing error and the flights have now gone up or have sold out and I’ll need to pay significantly more.

Don’t be fooled by their pleasant phone manner if you do manage to speak to them- it’s been a total waste of time.

Google flights should not work with these people.

Don’t bother if you actually want to buy a ticket for an actual plane.
