We bought some data for a 4 week holiday in Europe - the process to purchase was simple, the online support adequate, and even though I accidentally gave myself the larger GB plan - purchased for my husband - it all worked out in the wash! Will be using Travelkon again for future travels.

Bought this sim as it pushed the whole UNLIMITED DATA and would work in plenty of countries as I was in 9 countries in Europe and there for almost 2 months.

Yes the eSIM does work and yes it does allow you to use the internet, but it is mostly 3g or Edge (E - pre 3g internet service) and the unlimited part quickly becomes not so true as it is caped at 1.5gig per day, which use to be a lot, but not these days and even before you hit the cap, it is dreadfully slow.

After a couple of weeks, my service with this sim stopped connecting to the 5Gor4G service and would only ever work with 3G. I knew this was not because of my coverage as other people that were with me were almost always on fast 4G or 5G.

I did speak to customer service via text and couple of times they fixed the situation by changing my esim, but locking it to one country and limiting my data usage further.

In any case, I ended up just deleting the esim and turning on my roaming from my Australian mobile service and it worked perfectly. Will just use roaming on future, more expensive than these eSIM’s but they work and provide good speeds and reasonable data allowances.

TravelKon has very good coverage. I used it from 23rd June to 10th July and didn’t have any issues at all. Everything worked really well.

The only thing I didn’t like was the eSIM activation process. You need to scan the QR code and activate the eSIM before your travel/landing date, and then start using it. I would prefer an option where I can install the eSIM before travelling but only activate it when I arrive at my destination.

When I travelled to Japan, I used Ubigi. I installed and activated the eSIM about one week before travelling, but it only started working when I landed in Japan. I found that much more convenient.

Other than the activation process, everything about TravelKon was very good. I had excellent coverage and no issues during my trip.

We bought an eSIM for travel to India, visiting urban and rural areas. The eSIM worked flawlessly in both. The speeds were good and we had no issues making UPI payments or WhatsApp calls. Its an excellent solution to access the Internet at low cos, avoiding high roaming charges.

I purchased a U.S. eSIM plan from TravelKon that included voice and text, expecting a local U.S. phone number. Instead, I was issued an eSIM with a French phone number (+33). This made the voice and text features highly impractical for my travel needs in the United States.When I contacted customer service to request a replacement U.S. eSIM, TravelKon refused to issue one. They claimed I should have known it would be a French number, despite the fact that this critical piece of information was never clearly stated anywhere on their website during the purchase process.I am incredibly disappointed with this misleading advertising and their rigid, unhelpful customer service. I do not recommend TravelKon if you need reliable local communication

Very easy to use and great value for money.

The TravelKon European sim card worked very well in the countries we visited.

Really great value, I got 30GB for $27 and it was plenty for my 3 week trip to Bali. So handy to have data when travelling for ordering Grab rides and staying in touch with travelling companions. It was a little tricky getting my phone settings right, but Travelkon provided helpful instructions to get started. Would definitely use Travelkon again.

My sim didn't turn up before my trip despite allowing over a week as a buffer over your stated delivery date. I appreciate you have no control over Australia Post, but what was disappointing was that I messaged your support team and had no response. I then followed up with another email to your support team and again had no response.
In summary it was a lousy experience.

I have since had a response from TravelKon who have apologised and sorted out the situation entirely to my satisfaction. My faith in the system has been restored.

The esim was so easy to set up. Great price for 30 days of unlimited data and calls. Great coverage. Highly recommend.

We have been using TravelKon sims for a few years now and are very happy with the service. They are always there to help and the pricing appears to be reasonable
