Difficulty ordering online currency
I had been having trouble buying currency online with my debit card and went to Travel Oz West Lakes SA and explained what was happening showing proof that my several attempts were refused. The lovely young man on the counter on 11.03.2026 was friendly, polite and helped me with the issue. Currency bought. What a very pleasant experience. Thank you for all your help

Bad customer service
I requested the Travel Money representative to change the note as per my request. He told me that no i cannot do this, whatever, the notes inside the bag you need to go with it. He did not helpful, rude and provided bad customer service.
I never recommend Travel Money Oz in Eastland to anyone.

Not a one-hour click and collect as quoted
I used TM Oz because their site stated 'Click and Collect in one hour - exclusive to TM Oz'. The response to my query when I had received no notification was 'We'll respond to your query within two days' ???
I WAS A BIT HASTY WITH THIS REACTION BECAUSE IT WAS AVAILABLE WITHIN THREE HOURS. SORRY TM Oz !!!! TM Oz also responded with an apology for taking a little longer so I am very impressed with their service.

I requested for notes that were not created but was blatantly refused. The person in the front counter was very nice but the other staff member refused my request. All I wanted was 2 notes without a crease.

Disappointed
I must say I m a little disappointed! On the website, it says I can get small USD notes for tipping and that is exactly what I needed so I went ahead and placed my order. However, the website did not provide any box for this particular request. When I got to the store to pick up my cash, the sales told me that small notes are not available so I have to stick to what she gives me. She told me that if I order in the store (instead of website), as there will be a slight rate differences, she will be able to get me the small notes that I after. Well, I m not sure what should I do with the USD20 as this is surely too much for tipping.

Just to clarify, you can request smaller denominations upon collection of your online order in-store. However, if the store doesn't have stock of the denomination you're after, they can do a 'special order' from the vault. Special orders can only be processed in-store as a separate order, and won't be instant, as the stock needs to be delivered from the vault.
Alternatively (and as a back-up option), one way is to use your larger notes at popular tourist spots, restaurants, or well-known attractions — they’re usually happy to accept them and can provide change.

Easy to get possibly the best rate in town. You need to order on-line to get the best rate however you can do that instore at a desk and bingo 2 minutes later you get the online rate not the walk up rate. Recommended as normally mostly fresh notes and you are dealing with Flight Centre parent company if any issues later.
