BEING CHEAP IS NOT ALWAYS BEST

What a joke this company is. I had to cancel my holiday the same day I was due to fly. I got all the evidence required which I had to pay for. The response was we can’t refund you accommodation fees as it’s a time share and we can’t refund your flight fees unless you get a written letter from Jet2 that they haven’t refunded you money despite it clearly written in their terms and conditions
Ask yourself why are they so cheap, and my problems won’t affect you unless you need to make a claim. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Careful about confusing names

I have no idea about Traveltime (as in traveltime.co.uk) but like the reviewer of 18_oct I was confused as to why reviews here seemed so bad for travel insurance firm I wanted to check out.
So I wanted to point out these reviews seen here are for traveltime.co.uk which is NOT the five star "TravelTime Insurance"

This company are getting official defacto 5 stars..based on facts not opinion from travel insurance companies...also they are getting top reviews on other sites ...so something smells here...I just got a fantastic deal from them ..better than all the others

Helpful at rescheduling

I can’t review from a claims point of view - but I had a trip postponed, and then cancelled due to covid and they were incredibly helpful the whole way through, first at moving my dates of coverage for a very small fee, and then for refunding me for all but a reasonable admin fee once the trip was cancelled

All email replies were prompt and friendly - and they always picked up the phone!

no idea who everyone else here was dealing with

TRAVEL TIME Avoid doing business with this company…

Avoid doing business with this company at any cost as I think they are pretty much scammers. I took out a policy with this company in March 2020 for our booked holiday in May. The FCO advice changed to advise against travel to Spain, then later Spain closed it's borders to foreign tourists. This meant that even if I had gone I would not have been covered so, in effect, I have given them money for which I have received no service. A nice little business, if you can get it. Very difficult to get in contact with most of the time. They seem to be administered by some company called CSAL (from the email address) so AVOID anything to do with them too.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I was not able to award zero stars.

Booked and paid for travel insurance for a family holiday end of June 21, when i changed the holiday to October 21, tried on numerous occasions via phone and email no response whatsoever very poor customer service

Really terrible

Really terrible, terrible service. Do not take out travel insurance with this company under any circumstance! We had a family holiday booked for 8 of us and all took out our separate travel insurances at the beginning of 2020. Our flights and accommodation were cancelled due to FCO guidance and Travel Time have been the only insurance company out of 5 different travel insurers that we used to refuse to pay out for the claim. FYI and very interestingly, my husband and I used “Coverwise” and “Cover for you” for our travel insurance, which contain the EXACT SAME policy wording as the policy wording for my brother-in-law’s travel insurance policy and both Coverwise and Cover for you have agreed to pay the claim. My parents both have travel insurance with Barclays and Nationwide, who again have agreed to pay their claims. As mentioned, travel time have been the only company who have refused to process the claim and are being awkward about the situation where we clearly have precedent for a case (considering all other insurers have paid out). I really don’t want anybody to lose their hard earned money on a scam insurance company so please don’t book your travel insurance through them!

bought a policy back in Feb had to…

bought a policy back in Feb had to change the date of my holiday because of covid sent emails to see if they could change the date to a new holiday date and have not had a reply to any of them, I have had to take out another policy with a different company, I don't expect a refund from this company as they don't have the decency to reply to emails, I hope they go bust for taking peoples hard-earned money and not providing ANY service.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company, we took out top level annual insurance with this company before covid19 but now they won't cover for anything covid19 related a complete waste of money.

I usually go with the big providers but…

I usually go with the big providers but I decided to try smaller one as the reviews were good. Overall dreadful, before travelling one of our family had a change in medical condition so I wanted to infirm them and if aplicable cover any additional premium. The phone just rang and rang over days. We left a lmessage.... no reply. I wrote as We were Travelling in 2 weeks and we’re told it would be 7 weeks for a reply. I continued to try explaining we would be on holiday and needed confirmation of cover. I could a reply 2 weeks after returning saying that we need to provide more info (already provided) I complained and the basically just said fill out the additional medical details if you like. Back to the big providers for me!

Do not buy your insurance from this…

Do not buy your insurance from this company. Purchased my insurance a good month before the FCO listed my destination as a no go zone due to Covid and before the date they listed on their website that customers wouldn't be able to claim against covid. Two and a bit months after submitting my claim I chased them for an update. Because this eventuality wasn't specifically referenced in their "Covered" section they won't pay out. Neither was it in their "Not covered" section but guess which one they chose to side with. Another money grabbing company that will snake out of any claim they can.

In addition to this I tried to leave a review on the site that appears on their website. Nowhere to do it which is interesting. I can see why their star rating is so high on their site now. All the positive reviews are related to purchasing the insurance and none that I could see on claiming.

Terrible service

Terrible service, took out a policy before we were told about having to quarantine from Spain so I phoned them and asked if the policy was still valid, she said no so I asked for a refund, luckily I was in the 14 days , I asked if I hadn’t have asked within the 14 days would have got a refund? She said no , disgrace, I asked her to cancel she said I had to email in to a really long email address.

Zero stars more like !

Unfortunately I am unable to put zero stars which is what this company deserves.
“ When is insurance not really insurance” ......when it’s with Travel Time Insurance !
Purchased Premium Plus Insurance. Wish I hadn’t bothered as not covered for flight cancellation. This was certainly not made clear at purchase.
They take hours and hours to answer the phone. I wouldn’t want to be abroad and desperate for help !!
No customer services whatsoever. Basically scammers.

Buyer beware...don’t bother with.them. If you pay for insurance then you want to actually be insured and you won’t be with this lot !

Stay clear!

They DO NOT reply to Emails or phone calls. Wanted to change date of travel but have given up and will take out a new policy with a reputable company. I am glad I found out how they operate before I travelled, as it would have been a disaster if I required there services in an emergency.
Hopefully they go under as they do not deserve peoples hard earned money.

Had a policy for a trip in may which…

Had a policy for a trip in may which was cancelled so I emailed for a refund straight away, I must admit they took there time getting back to me (nearly 2 months) but give them credit I just had a reply today apologising for the length of time it took to reply and was given a full refund unlike another company I used for another trip on who only offered 50% refund

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company. Here we are, mid-July, and I’m still waiting on a response to emails sent as far back as May. They are also not answering phones. I purchased a travel policy in February but it was unusable due to the Covid situation. I have been trying to either get a refund or change the policy dates. Do not use this bunch of amateurs if you want a decent service. I dread to think of the situation anyone would be left in if they had to try to contact them whilst in trouble on holiday.

I would give -1

I would give -1! Got a shoddy response to an email I sent 2 months ago. Only offering a refund for 1 policy but unfortunately I had 2 due to 2 trips booked.
They don't answer their phones and well the email response is around 8-10 weeks. I wanted to know if I could change dates and they said no. I asked if I didn't get a refund on a particular flight the answer was no even though I purchased well before Covid.
Would never get travel insurance with them again!

Disaster

Disaster
Took out this policy in January when there was no mention of covid . Now it seems we are not covered even thoughFCO advises against travel . If we go and catch covid we aren’t covered for that either ... emailed twice, no response. Avoid this company at all costs.
