Do not book with Traveluro. Their customer service is appalling. They do not respond to emails and they are completely inflexible. They were unwilling to change a booking with a hotel even though the hotel was willing to allow the change. Book with Expedia instead.

Look, Traveluro is not a scam. They can be frustrating to deal with, and their terms and conditions are quite strict, but they are genuine.

Their customer support team is limited, and it can be difficult to contact at times, BUT they are what they are. They offer reduced-cost bookings (sometimes heavily reduced), and the trade-in is that the terms are strict and there isn't much leeway or help if you need to make alterations.

If you need a reduced deal at the last minute or are certain of your dates and needs with very little chance of changes or cancellation and no real need for customer service, Traveluro (and a few similar sites) are ideal for saving money. If you are unsure or there is a chance you will need to make changes, then going with one of the bigger names or doing direct is the way to go.

They do get a lot of bad reviews, but usually, it's due to someone taking a cheap deal with strict rules and then needing to make changes. Traveluro isn't great at this, and with a lot of the low costs deals, changes/cancellations aren't permitted.

They do make mistakes, I'm sure, like everyone, but they are what they are. They aren't a scam; If you have already booked through them and are worried you may have been scammed, you almost certainly haven't been.

I've used them a few times. If it's a choice of booking direct, going through someone like Agoda, or use them, and all prices are similar, I wouldn't consider Traveluro. But several times, they have been cheaper by as much as 30%, and I've used them with no issues at all. On my most recent booking I accidentally booked a twin room instead of a king, not a huge issue but I know not to bother contacting them, instead I emailed the hotel to request the chance.

Booked a trip to Las Vegas. The trip had a date where after that date the trip was not refundable.
I’m 76 on oxygen living on social security. I came down with Covid two days before my trip. $462 may not seem like a lot to some but it is a lot to me.
They would not refund my trip nor postpone it. Just out the money.
I do NOT recommend this company. No heart. No ethics.

I just used traveluro for 2 hotels.
1 in new York, 1 in buffalo. Had no issues whatsoever.

I was a bit freaked out after reading all the reviews but to my pleasant surprise it all went well and I had a great price.
After my booking when I read all the websites with reviews I was freaked out. I had tried contacting traveluro by phone and the contact form and no one replied. But the hotels had my booking and the stay overall went fine.

Do not recommend it’s a scam. They have a customer support number that never picks up. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Really simple to amend a booking on this portal. Also fast confirmation on the amendment and payment super easy! Thank you for the experience!

I booked 2 hotels rooms in Boston for March 16-17. The event we were going in for was not finalized by the cancellation date of March 6 so I attempted to cancel. I tried several times to cancel via the manage booking link which does not work and also tried calling but waited on hold and then kept getting disconnected. I even called the hotel to see if they could help and although they were sympathetic, there was nothing they could do on their end. I found a contact email for Traveluro so I emailed on March 7th explaining and they told me due to trying to cancel after March 6th they would not do it. I explained that I tried to cancel within the required timeframe but was not able due to issues on their end. I even noted that I read online that this seems to be a common problem so it is clearly an issue on their end but they would not cancel the reservation and provide a refund. In addition, I provided a letter from the hotel stating I reached out to them on March 6th trying to cancel since I could not cancel on their website or reach anybody via their phone #. They have since stopped responding to me. I have contacted my credit card and put this matter into dispute and I will be filing a claim with the AG's office. This company is scamming people. They state a reservation is cancelable/refundable, however, they do not give you any way to cancel.

This site is a total scam and should be shut down immediately!

Booked a room for a conference through Traveluro. Got a confirmation and receipt. Had to make a change to the reservation. Phone number that I called cut me off 5 times. I have emailed (the other option) to connect with someone...crickets from them. I contacted the hotel and they have no reservation under my name nor under my confirmation #. I can cancel my reservation according to the website, but can't get into anything to do so.

TOTAL SCAM!

We booked a room with Ramada St George as my husband was having surgery and needed a room prior to surgery date. We had till thev3rd to cancell and receive a refund however the surgical center didn't inform till thev4th. Ramada refunded us regardless. Wonderful customer service and compassion

booked a hotel room through this website before I saw the reviews, was concerned after seeing the reviews but when I got to the hotel everything was booked and I got my room

Definite scam confirmed by hotel.

Booked the Hilton in New York through traveluro.com through a Google search. Received emails and confirmation etc so everything seemed legit. After a long flight from UK to NYC, we arrived at the hotel where the hotel concierge asked me to confirm address, email, phone number, and last 4 digits of the card I booked with. After giving all this information she advised that none of the details matched the details they had except from my name and booking number. She said that I would have to contact Traveluro to get them to change the details before we could check in but that was impossible at short notice. She said the details were completely different to what I had given and the address given was an address in the states so it definitely wasn’t a mix up. This was with me even showing her my confirmation email with all my details. The hotel was fully booked or I was just willing to pay for new rooms as we were desperate after the journey, however they couldn’t release the rooms we had booked because in their system it was booked. The hotel concierge advised that it has been happening often where they release the room then never receive the money from the third party and it appears to be part of a travel agency scam. Luckily I booked on credit card so got the money refunded. But had to find a last minute hotel a few blocks away. Please don’t trust this website. They make a booking in your name. Take your money and then do not pay the hotel. By not being able to check in they are then not due the hotel money and this is how the scam works.

I traveled from Seattle to Dubai and had booked a room at the Millennium Central Downtown Hotel through Traveluro, which was the top result on Google Maps Hotels, a month in advance. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the hotel denied any knowledge of my booking. As a result, I had to make a last-minute reservation at a nearby hotel, incurring a premium cost because the rooms at the Millennium Central Downtown Hotel were fully booked.

I attempted to reach customer care to address the issue, but my calls went unanswered. I initially booked the hotel for $230 for a two-night stay, but due to the unforeseen circumstances, I ended up paying an additional $430 for accommodations at a different hotel. This experience was both frustrating and costly, and I hope that others do not encounter similar issues with their reservations.

I used them to book a Disney resort. With Disney, you need to have the confirmation number to link everything together (tickets, benefits, etc). For a week I asking them for a confirmation number that Disney would recognize. I received 3 automated responses telling me not to worry about it. After reading the reviews here I decided investigate further. In their FAQ it states that you will receive a confirmation number ONE DAY before the reservation starts. Needless to say I cancelled the reservation. Guess what happened next....the hotel that I had booked was now sold out and I wound up spending almost twice as much to reserve a new one.

AVOID THIS SERVCE AT ALL COSTS.

Seems to be a scam, many people saying that they booked using this website but the room never got booked. I will not risk it.

I prefer to pay a few euros more to have peace of mind.

I’ve given a middle rating as, at this time we’ve not “finished” using them
What I mean is that after reading all the scary 1* reviews I was very nervous that we’d be scammed.
It was difficult to get in contact with the hotel directly but eventually I got to chat with a real person.
She assured us that there’s definitely a booking for us on the date we booked.
I have taken screenshots of the conversation just in case.
I’ll try and remember to update after we “finish” with them

RE: Traveluro. After selecting our chosen date of February 17 (from the hotel lobby), and editing the country of origin, it reset the date to February 19. I didn’t notice and hit confirm. The hotel called them immediately to make the change and they would not budge. They still would have gotten our money but for the 17th not the 19th. I have been trying tirelessly to contact them but calls are disconnected each time. I have sent emails and get no reply. To add insult to injury, they texted tonight to tell us to enjoy our stay and to contact them if we required assistance … I’m not sure how when they disconnect calls. I have contacted TripAdvisor to suggest they stop any affiliation with this company. Due to their lack of customer service, we will NEVER use them again and will ensure that our friends and family do not as well.

I made a reservation, received a confirmation email, and went to the hotel, but I was told to call Traveluro and the hotel service center because I couldn't check the reservation information.

When I called the hotel service center, they said they didn't receive any information from traveluro.

The hotel check-in time was from 3 p.m., and I wasted more than an hour, calling here and there.

After wasting about two hours, I couldn't waste any more time, so I had to pay extra to check in directly from the hotel lobby.

The traveluro service center has not answered any calls and has not answered any emails even after a few days.

I am requesting a refund for your reply.

I booked through Traveluro. A couple days before our trip my wife got very sick and actually got Covid. I sent in the test results and tried to move the trip, adjust the dates, get a credit, literally anything…didn’t even want a refund. They said they have a strict no cancel policy. Straight trash customer service.

Terrible customer service. They do not care. I will never ever use them again. Inflexible - I needed to change my one night accommodation booking to a week later and they refused to change it.
