From what I can tell Treedom does just what you expect them to do: plant trees supporting the local communities involved in their projects. They regularly send me proof of that through pictures and... See more

Leave nature as it is.

Practically these tell you that they will show you the life of your tree, but then it's not true, they send you some pics the first two times in the first few months (and who knows if it's your tree, maybe not even that) and then from that moment it's all simple clickbait propaganda on email. 4 years ago they gave me the Khanyu tree and no one knows what happened to it anymore, they lost sight of it or ate it XD XD XD other that "news about your Khanyu tree", and then too much bsht and cheap philosophy, it could be that the initial photos were those of a Khanyu tree taken at random, your hypocritical mission is disgusting and you don't even do things right because you don't respect the agreements, you had to follow and update on that Khanyu tree, but slapping a code on it to recognize it, maybe? Hooray for the true wild and freedom not the harmful human action, because work is civilization and civilization is horror and evil in itself in any case, if there is not that then civilization cannot sustain itself in practical sense so it is an error in the very roots. Leave nature as it is. However it was nice to know about my tree, if you have to send this stuff don't send anything, propaganda is of no interest, and the eye wants its part. Enough with these fallacious emails, stop smelling like rotten fish on my mail, your click baits come back to haunt you, now you get a loud review.

Mostly great (I hope)

Pluses:
1. Seemingly great concept.
2. Very informative, relatively user-friendly website.
3. Large range of tree options, with contrasting benefits (economic, social, CO2, other ecological).
4. Very responsive customer service agent (Gianguido Saed).
5. Some critical comments posted at the website have reassuring responses.

Minuses:
1. Uncertain veracity of claims (scam?)
2. Proliferation of emails, at least to giver of trees.
3. Tree-purchase interface clumsy, at least for (i) seeing all tree options on the same page, (ii) purchasing and *giving* a set of selected trees, and (iii) purchasing and giving a particular set of selected trees repeatedly, to each of multiple recipients.
4. Few South American or Asian locations (mostly African).
5. Some critical comments posted at website lack responses.

Thanks to Mr. Gianguido

Mr. Gianguido helped me a lot because my Visa Card did not work. He offered my an other possibility to make the transfer of money. He was very friendly during my phone call, and sent me some confirmation eMails.
I am happy to give 11 trees as a birthday present. Without Gianguidos help this would not have worked.
