Bought basic home insurance from the website, on the last checkout page the price was written 1000 SEK/år,
after signing via Bank ID and activating autogiro, the price was suddenly 1200 SEK/år, that's a 20% higher than the original deal.
Sounded like a scam that could go unnoticed. I called them and canceled immediately. What a waste of time.

Trygga Hansa's case officer changed a decision and description of the events using the information I submitted in an appeal. She now claims that the first decision was mistakenly sent to me and was not reflective of the decision she intended to make. Still, she makes a wrong conclusion and is adamant about it.

I gave my car to the service station TryggHansa indicated on the 8th of March and collected the replacement car the same day. An 'inspector' from the insurance company visited my car at the service station the same day to check the damage against my claim. Then came Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday- no follow up whatsoever on what the 'inspector' decided and if the service station can start with my car. At the same time, the insurance only (partially) covers the 7 first days of car-rental without a formal decision. Monday i gave them a call myself for a follow up and the agent told me that 'the inspector had questions for me before approving my claim'. Why they never contacted me to get the answers and get things moving for 5 days is a mystery. So i gave them my answers and the agent promised to get things moving as soon as possible, cause she understood that the hyrbil was expiring in 48 hours and i would be left without a replacement car if there is still no decision.
Next day i called them back again myself, cause they seem to be terrible at following up. And lo and behold, no progress was made. The 'inspector' made no follow up on my claim. I stated again to the agent that they now had my car at the service station for a week with absolutely no progress and the hyrbil expires tomorrow. Apologies and promises were again made that 'they will expedite the process'. Today, Wednesday the 15th of March, i made a last attempt to call them and try to get a timeline and advise on the hyrbil. Just to give you an idea of the kind of person i talked to and is employed by Trygghansa: the kind of person that knows he will get paid on the 25th of the month no matter how unqualified he is to be at a customer handling role, no matter how condescending he can be. Dont you just hate that? And you did nothing wrong. On the contrary. Cause you are paying 17.000kr car insurance per year to have a serious company that will take care of you hassle free. The agent at the other end of the line rudely gave me a told off:
' Well, we can take as much time as we want to get to a conclusion. There is no time-limit. It can take us a month. You can either continue renting the car from your own pocket from this point on, or return it and be without a car. That's it'.
Yes, but you already have everything you need to reach to a conclusion. My car is an entire week sitting at the yard at the service station. Do you understand at what additional financial burden you are putting me for no reason at all apart from the 'inspector' not following up for such a long period of time?
'It will take as long as it will take, dont you understand what i am saying to you?' he said like I am annoying him for pleading with him and he wants to be done with the call. Of course it is not his money to be spent so i understand the IDGAF attitude. Who cares for other people's money, right?
So here we are today, with no car, no follow up, no hyrbil and no timeline, thinking on investing on a monthly bus card. Thanks TryggHansa!
