I was told by an SEB employee that I will be contacted by a Trygg Hansa person on the phone in order to discuss a possible insurance plan.
I got two calls from them and when I pick up and they hear me speaking English (yes, I am not confident enough in my Swedish yet) - they HANG UP.
Happened twice already. Tried to call back or message the number and it’s impossible.
Isn’t my money good enough for you because I’m foreign???
I expect to be contacted and treated professionally next time, this is unacceptable and very frustrating. How can you just hang up on people after I waited for your call two evenings in a row??

Will do all they can to not fix your car properly and you won't be able to do anything about it even with their most expensive ensurance. Have an expensive car and somebody wrecked your bumper at a parking lot? They offer you to fix your wrecked bumper instead of replacing it even though the bumper is not restorable to the same condition as it were in before, and you will have to just take it since it is Trygg Hansa that decide how to fix your car.
Avoid at all cost, pick any other competitor ensurance company.

Got an email from them for an order I never made, smells like a scam, came from a legit looking email. Customer service has been impossible to reach, completely shoddy business practice which just screams scam/ponzi scheme. If this turns out to be legit and you have allowed someone to take out insurance in my name without verifying it is actually me I will be proceeding with legal action against the company and scammers. Oh and if anyone wants to say they're legit, what legit business with nothing to hide leads you to a blank screen when you try to click the link for a direct email address?

I bought a house in Sweden, and wanted to insure it in the same company (Trygghansa) as the previous owner. I called the customer service to ask about this. They said I can't get an insurance without a Swedish personal number or "samordningsnummer". Now I'm a Danish citizen and live in Denmark, so I don't have those. They also said that I "do not exist as a person" without this number and they would not be able to find me in their system. They then referred to the GDPR rules. Since I'm a lawyer I know the GDPR rules have nothing to do with this. I then asked them to point me to the law or regulation that says I can't make an insurance without these numbers - although I have a Danish personal number - and passport, driver's license, health insurance card, birth certificate etc. They said they didn't know the rules. So - they are extremely ignorant of the laws in Sweden and their own policies, and they treat prospective customers like dirt. Avoid them like the plague.
To Trygghansas answer, I will add that I then contacted Folksam.se. They did not need a Swedish personal number or samordningsnummer to give me a house insurance; they just needed my full name and birthday, and then they made me a home insurance on the same day. One wonders why Trygghansa can't find people without these numbers, when their competitors can, but the choice was very easy, of course.

A few days ago I was contacted by the Trygg-Hansa employee via phone. This person clarified some data regarding my current apartment and its insurance. Then I was offered new accident insurance for me and my wife, which we do not need now. I rejected the proposition but asked the person to send me information about this insurance to check if I wanted it and think about it. In a few days, I got an email confirming that my wife and I are now subscribed to this insurance plan while I did not give my consent. Such an aggressive marketing policy creates an extremely bad impression about Trygg-Hansa.

For försakring,my aktiebolaget I reached out to other providers and it was super easy to start the försäkring with Trygghansa. I had made a small mistake while filling up the form, so tried to call the customer care later and again, they were very professional and considerate. Keep up the great work.

I had a car accident, Me and the lady on the phone agreed I could not do anything to prevent the incident. The causing part was a brake pipe that suddenly broke. So it had nothing to do with me. So far we were on the same page. But! then she says but we will blame it on you as a drive anyway. ? what? she just agreed it was a sudden unforeseen mechanical failure I could not avoid causing the accident. Then she recommended me to change insurance company. Now we agree again I will take her advice with both my cars and leave this behind me, Trygg Hansa is not worth my money nor my energy. just a sad way to do business.

Worst experience. The company will do everything they can to make it difficult for you. I got hung up on and ignored countless times. I only took insurance to protect me if anything happened to my business laptop. When it got stolen they did everything they could not to help me and now I'm stuck and cannot work. Building owners double insured me for some reason. I have no idea. Had to get it canceled.
Has never happened to me before. Not sure why do they have such insurance deals with building owners where tenants get insured without them knowing?
I would not recommend this insurer to anyone, because rather than working to help you in your times of need, they work to ensure that they take as much from you as possible. When spoken to them, they keep passing to each other and telling different stories. Anyway worst insurance I have ever dealt with and should be banned.

I would like to share some extremely unprofessional, borderling fraudulent business practices this company uses. Bottom line is, this company will do everything it can to morally defraud you if they can get away with it, legally, so be aware of the risks.
My story is not about being compensated for an accident, but business practices they have for all customers. They create false and bogus threats if you do not want to continue being their customer, and rely on the fearful and unobservant customers to pay for an insurance that has zero value.
It is important to stop this kind of company from operating in Sweden as it destroys the market for serious insurance companies that follow good business practices. Please do not use this company.
Now to the details:
Trafikverket in Sweden has a registry of all cars and whether they are insured. Uninsured cars will be insured by Trafikförsäkringsföreningen which is a car insurance that is maybe 20-50 times more expensive than a normal one.
Naturally a car owner will do everything they can to not miss a payment on their insurance as just a few weeks on the "Trafikförsäkringsföreningen" insurance will cost more than a year of normal insurance. This fear is exploited by Trygg Hansa in an insidious manner.
Now at the end of my previous insurance period, I switched to another insurance company. Normally when the new insurance company is registered, the old one will reimburse the last part of the payment.
Trygg Hansa never does this, but that's not my complaint (you do have to account for the fact that you will spend maybe 10-20% extra because of this though).
My complaint is what they did a few months later. Then they started sending invoices to me in the form of "offer to extend insurance" on my car. In these letters they threatened that my insurance might be handed over to Trafikförsäkringsföreningen. At this point, they of course know that I have another insurance on my car, so they knew that this threat was false.
I received several of these letters, including a letter that warned me that now insurance coverage was stopped and "any missing payment would be handed over to Trafikförsäkringsföreningen".
I called them and asked why they were doing what in my mind was fraudulent and threatening (while maybe legal).
The answer I got was that it was too difficult for them to connect their computer system to Trafikverket. Because of this, they "could not know" that another insurance existed.
If you know any IT, you know that this is complete and utter BS. It is only a explicit strategy from the leadership to defraud less observant customers that leads them to not do a lookup at Trafikverket.
In addition to this, my new insurance company would also inform my old insurance company about the new insurance, so they are explicitly informed about all of these changes from other insurance companies.
So what is their goal? Their goal is that someone who reads these letters will "panic", renew their insurance and then have double insurance on their car. An insurance extension is for a year with Trygg Hansa if you pay yearly, and during that time, if an accident happens, they will have no need to pay, or at least pay only 50% of what they would otherwise pay.
In my view, while this is maybe legal according to the letter of the law, this is morally reprehensible especially since this preys on the most vulnerable, for example elderly or those with weak financials who cannot afford even a short time at Trafikförsäkringsföreningen.
Please stay away from this company in solidarity with those less fortunate that are being exploited.

Never ever buy insurance for business from Trygg-hansa. My insurance covers theft, robbery along with other benefits. After a recent robbery, although i have alarm system, video camera that has all evidences but they denied to pay. They are making lots of ridiculous excuses like they have specific camera requirement (although police have identified the criminal), the cash register model requirement bla bla bla.
this is the result after being a customer with them for four years. I have informed all of my friends to cancel their insurance immidiately.
Really bad service; they don't have any brochure in English. The customer service support doesn't speak and understand well English, they can not send emails with specific products information. They don't have neither on the website or PDF brochures about life insurance. They said they will call me back but without giving me a time or the phone number they will call from.
