Great service
Usual great service from try the kit. Looking to make an RF lens purchase this year. The lenses I had to try out where all excellent and the time I spent with them has given me a real feel for performance and ease of use. Will definitely use this service in future.

I rented the Canon R1 and a EL-5 Flash…
I rented the Canon R1 and a EL-5 Flash gun over Christmas - which gave me plenty of time to evaluate them. They were due to arrive the Friday before Christmas, but were available for delivery on the Tuesday, which was fantastic.
All throughout, the communication was excellent and near instant.
A really useful service and recommend them 100%

Exceptionally easy and free
Exceptionally easy to arrange, two weeks over Christmas borrowing of top quality kit. Completely free although you need to make a security deposit that was refunded very promptly.

Fantastic opportunity to try the kit and it was easy!!
Simplicity of the whole process from start to finish. I got to try three lenses out over the Christmas period and under the Christmas offer it didn't cost me a penny.
The Lenses arrive a few days before the booked period so that meant had them for longer. They arrived well packaged in Peli cases with clear instructions on what to do when sending back.
The return process was as easy. All labels and packaging was provided and the pick up happened in a designated time period.
I was very pleased with the whole loan process.
Now I only needed to convince my wife why these lenses are needed in my kitbag!!!

Great except for ParcelForce
The lens was delivered early and I was able to enjoy it for extra time over Christmas and New Year. The collection was a mess, though - ParcelForce gave conflicting times for collecting and then didn't turn up at all so I had to take the lens to a post office. In the past the courier has always been DPD, who have been right on time. Go back to using DPD!

I'm really sorry that Parcelforce messed you around over the collection. Unfortunately, issues with deliveries and collection are not uncommon around the Festive period with all couriers (our previous couriers, not DPD, included) but I am sorry that you were impacted by it. Thank you for dropping the kit back to your local Post Office. This is something that we can always book in, rather than you being stuck in waiting for a collection, if that is preferable for future trials.

Appaling! I ordered a trial of a Canon camera over Christmas. The transaction immediately went wrong when, despite noting I could only really accept delivery on the 19th, they forced me into taking delivery on the 17th in the middle of wedding preparations. On inspection, the camera itself was dented and the sensor was so covered in crud that it was entirely unusable for any meaningful trial. TTK suggested I didn't use f/16. Really? They have no idea about how landscape photographers use cameras. And now they are holding onto my deposit of more than £ 1,000. It has been an appalling experience.

Regarding the delivery, our intention in sending the equipment 48 hours early (at no extra cost) was specifically to avoid the risk of courier delays during the busy Christmas period. We apologise if this timing caused additional stress during your wedding preparations; our goal was simply to ensure you had the gear in hand ahead of the start of your free loan.
We take equipment maintenance seriously. While we strive to provide pristine gear, the nature of shipping sensitive electronics means sensor dust can occasionally shift during transit, as it appears to have done on this occasion, for which we apologise. We appreciate your feedback on the camera's condition; while it had a slight cosmetic imperfection, this did not affect the operation of the camera and was noted on the dispatch documentation for transparency and reassurance.
Regarding your refund, we processed it as quickly as possible within the context of the seasonal backlog. Your camera arrived back with us on Tuesday 6th Jan and the refund was processed on Thursday 8th Jan. While we understand the frustration caused by a delay, our team works hard to process these as quickly as possible.

Brilliant. Very easy. Lens came packed extremely well in a pelican case with all the necessary kit to return. Deposit was returned within a couple of days of returning. Couldn’t ask for a better service.

The service TryTheKit provides is just fantastic, top class! I've used them extensively to try Canon gear. There's no selling pressure involved, just a 5% discount offered via registered retailers that you can use if you wish. They often ship early, so you might get more time with the kit (and I'd recommend booking over bank holidays too, for the extra day). Absolutely nothing negative to be said. Just treat the hire kit well; they aren't like car hire companies that sometimes claim you've damaged cars during a hire period, so you won't get blamed for damage you didn't do..
