Cheating - QR scan app sent me to this tudum

QR scan app sent me to this link, mentioned a credit card is needed for verification purpose only. But it actually starts a 5 days free trial and follows with paid subscription! There is no way to cancel the subscription online!

Too dumb to notice

I finally noticed that this outfit had been charging me for four months. In looking-up info on the Company there are references to it being a Netflix subsidiary. I don't know how they got my information and I was never notified with any kind of link to establish an account. I think these types of scam companies should be outlawed, they purposely deceptive.

Fradulent charges on credit card

I didn't know what was tudum until today.what happened was when i received my credit card bill this month it had an entry of 39.95 for some services. When i called the number they said it is tudum. So people be careful of these tudums. They get your credit card number somehow and with a trick start charging you about 40 dollars per month because they know mostly people don't look at the credit card statements and just keep paying the bills.it looks like a good scam going on . Thank you. Never trust any tudums, period.

I was trying to activate my new capital…

I was trying to activate my new capital one credit card on my phone, just before a big hurricane was to hit our province. This pop up for Tudum came up and would not collapse; it had this big green start button. I thought it was somehow associated with my new account so, being stressed in the moment, I did not research it. I even stupidly gave my password as they asked for that!😑Long story short it was some sketchy site. I tried to cancel with number on their confirmation email but the woman said there was no subscription activated. I called Capital One and they noted a $1 charge that I had not authorized- so obviously Tudum was going to try for more later. I told Capital One about it popping up on their sign in, so they have their fraud department looking into it. Cancelled card be&ore more damage could come.Next I’m calling fraud alert Canada. Grrrr.

Tudum scam

Yep. Was downloading the firestix remote app and it said to get access to it it would cost a one time lifetime $9.99 payment. And today saw the 39.95 charge. I called and canceled the account. Hopefully won't see another charge or someone is going to feel hell on there back!

how is it that these lying thieving con artists exist

how is it that these lying thieving con artists can remain in business and continue to rip people off, how can they even keep a merchant account? I have recently returned to usa after 6 months in S.E. asia and when I get back home I check my bank account statements and see that these scammers have charged me $39.95 recurring for 8 months, they stole $320. I had to go to my bank today and cancel my account. I have no idea how these slimedogs got my financial info. I will not rest till these criminals are in prison! We should also hold some of these 3rd party billing companies that are in bed with tudum accountable. It's beyond belief that these scammers are apparently getting away with this! I have compiled a list of so called billing companies that are helping tudum rip us off these fake billing companies that are in bed with tudum know what's going on and need to be held accountable and prosecuted to the full extent of the law

I was at a cashless charity event that required you to scan a QR code and setup an account to make donations. This is why I put my cc info in. After my account didn't register at the sign in desk that's when I discovered that I had signed up for the wrong thing. On hold with my cc company now to reverse the $1 charge and possibly cancel my card.

Sept 11 was attempting to sync ear buds to my phone. Downloaded an app and apparently this site appeared. It indicated no fee for service but as in other apps required credit card info. Foolishly, I complied. Fraud alert immediately appeared on my card and I have spent the day resolving this issue.

Trusted QR code sent me to a scam?

I was on my switch and I saw that I could send images to my phone with a QR code, it sent me to Allin1 digital content and I figured that since the QR code was in Nintendo's authority that I could trust the system, none of it seemed relative so I'm starting to think that scams are somehow highjacking QR codes??? Because Nintendo would never do this. Also they would get in serious trouble if they did. Ok I'm going to cancel my card now, GL with your issue

Scam

I was trying to purchase espn+ to watch football game and downloaded the espn app and went to purchase and gave my card info and it ended up being tudum with no way to cancel without calling them so I looked them up online and immediately had to call and cancel my card on a Saturday! Can not get a new card until Monday morning, but luckily I did it before they were able to charge my card! BIG HEADACHE!!!

Deceptive from the get-go...

Like others, I was trying to download a parking Ap on my phone. I was in Richmond, VA last night. Tudum showed a picture of the parking ap I needed and a big green START Button. The rest was my stupidity. Thanks to Google for making this scam the 1st option I found and making it so easy to upload my CC Info. I cancelled my CC this morning and am buying stronger strength reading glasses.

Their return address is a UPS store!

Did NOT contract with this company or authorize them to charge my card. Had to cancel our card while on a family vacation. The address associated with them is a frickin' UPS store! Avoid at all costs and God help the scammers involved if they ever get caught.

I was trying to pay for my meal with a QR Code

I was trying to pay for my meal at a restaurant that had a QR code to scan and got taken to this site instead apparently. I never got an opportunity to pay for my meal and the restaurant would not take any responsibility for the incident nor did they say "do not use the QR code". In my opinion, they are aiding this hack operation. Little Italy in Evansville, just warning you. Now I will probably need to cancel the card based on what I have read here about what's happening to others.

Won complimentary tickets to Twins game…

Won complimentary tickets to Twins game at the MN State Fair. Had to download MLB app to claim said ticket but it was slick and took me to this site instead. Lesson learned, canceled debit card. 10 to 14 days for a new one and I'll have to change my payments on subscriptions that use it. Ugh!!!! What a pain!

Tudum deceptive ad placement.

Same as others. I tried to pay for on street parking in Delaware. The link made it look like you were paying for parking but it was for a subscription. I attempted to cancel but they have made the $1 dollar charge. To be safe I cancelled the credit card before further charges were made. What a hassle. The name adds insult to injury.

I too got duped into providing this…

I too got duped into providing this scam site my Visa information. I was actually trying to sign into a parking app and somehow the navigation was hijacked by Tudum. Very quickly two small items appeared on my Visa account under the name flashpartyhub.com. I tried cancelling the subscription they enrolled me in but just went in circles. There was a chat portal where I asked what these charges were and to cancel the subscription. I got an email from “customer service” no company name advising the subscription is cancelled. The whole situation so sketchy! I was able to lock my Visa pending instructions from my bank ((RBC), thinking the card needs to be cancelled. I have lots of preauthorized payment going thru that card. Lesson learned, I will be more careful sharing my credit card info going forward. I note more reviews mentioning parking apps!
