Can we have more say in filtering out…

Can we have more say in filtering out garbage sites like this showing up in our search results.
Utter utter utter rubbish.
I pay for these search results and should not be dictated on what we are force fed.
Its not my job or my responsibility to educate sites on why they are rubbish.
If any sites pay to be seen or advertise then i should as the bill payer who receive this to be put in the block bin.
Stop dictating us to what you think we should see wasting my time and money .

Agree with the person who wrote about…

Agree with the person who wrote about them not helping people. They just point to their grant search - which, as mentioned, is very limited, and not for those who are on low incomes and don't have degrees. On their Facebook page, they really do just talk about how many people they've supposedly helped (even though some organisation they pointed to actually helped) and they don't respond to people asking for support. It's unqualified ordinary people trying to help on the Facebook page - not Turn2Us. Edited for clarification.

Amazing expert help!

Talked at length with Catherine about the procedure, ins and outs, opportunities and pitfalls of funding for my house which is very inefficient in terms of heat efficiency. She was enormously helpful, very friendly and fun to talk to and answered all my questions - as well as others that I didn't even know I needed to ask. I did not anticipate this level of expertise and help! Thank you Catherine!

Awful attitude from agent

If I could give no stars I would

Got through to an extremely rude welsh lady called Georgia -
she was very abrupt,
speaking to me as though I was bothering her & just wanted to query a benefit I was apparently eligible for and she snapped,
she made me feel much worse about my situation than I already did
Horrible service

Absolutely incredible charity

Absolutely incredible charity. I have been a beneficiary for over 10 years and love them to bits. Please ignore all the bad reviews. The Elizabeth Finn fund has certain criteria, as do all charities. This is due to the desires of the original benefactor.

A load of rubbish

A load of rubbish turn2us are, I'm a cleaner in my 40s looking for a grant to improve my job prospects. You can only get a grant if you have a top job or a degree, yet they claim to help low income workers. I don't believe these grant actually exist.

shocked to read bad reviews

Shocked to read bad reviews.

Years ago this organisation was very helpful to me. Initially, I was helped by an employee, who located charities for me as compatible with my previous work history, gender and income. I did get some modest financial assistance, which was a great help.

Later on, when I investigated the website, I went through their alphabet grant register and locate several charities that would help me and more substantially too. Yes, of course, they need a lot of information to verify that your hardship is true.

As for the unhappy reviews below---I really hope that they will receive the right support.

How are you a charity when you don’t…

They have helped me in ways I can’t…

They have helped me in ways I can’t describe. I read all these reviews and thought badly and wasn’t very optimistic, however as long as your transparent and provide what they need meet the criteria they are there to help. I am in absolute shock and so grateful for the help in these troubled times.

Eternally grateful

Despite all the negative feedback about this charity, i have to give credit where credit is due. Having not had any work since last March (2020) i was in desperate need of support for myself and my young daughter. Turn2Us were amazing and gave me a grant to help me pay the bills as well as some left over to purchase food. Although you have to submit a wealth of information, i believe this is to ensure they are not giving money to people who dont actually need it. It took around 2mths to process my claim as you have to go through two lots of applications followed by a review by a caseworker, however, i cannot fault them and they literally pulled us out of a dreadful financial situation. I am so grateful I have offered to carry out voluntary work for them in the future to thank them. Thank you Turn2Us.

If there was a half star

If there was a half star, i would gladly give because they honestly do not deserve even 1 star. A grant meant for professionals, they don't tell you the threshold and after series of levels and hope building, they tell you they can't help. The reasons for each level is to review your financial status given the recent pandemic and being a professional. £0.5 over the set mark which is not constant in 3 months automatically disqualifies you by a caseworker who does not spend 10 minutes with your application. What a joke and so disheartening.

LAZY

This organisation do not even deserve one star. I will ensure the government and media are aware of their conduct ASAP!

Ignore people's phone calls and are of No help.

Is this a voluntary organisations or are people actually employed to sit and do absolutely NOTHING?!

Don't give your information

Just after personal information and absolutely no help or response from them at all after 3 months. Don't expose your information to these people. I highly suspect a scam here. Government should abolish this site along with the parent "charity" Elizabeth Finn trust. Avoid!!!

All that information wasted time and emotions dashed! How are you a charity?

Prior to moving onto to stage 3. When my application has been passed on to a caseworker. Turn2Us have been professional yet understanding, kind and thorough. To this point I have to say how encouraging it is to have the feeling that someone is on my side.
Then the kick in the teeth. They cannot help as according to them We earn too much and are over the threshold. All the personal information and circumstances matter not a jot. We barely have enough to get by. Neither of us have ever gone cap in hand to anyone. Royal British Legion and SSAFA should drop this shower.

No charitable behaviour here

Like other reviewers I question whether this is a legitimate charity or not. They refused my request because 'I didn't meet their guidelines'. Problem is, my experience is very odd, so would not meet any guidelines. I thought a human could understand that, especially a charity, but they refused to understand.
if you own a house which was totally destroyed in a fire, so live elsewhere - are you a 2 house family? I don't think so - they do and they do not help people with 2 houses!
I asked them to reconsider but got no reply.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. These grants don't exist. They exclude most people and have more get out clauses than enough. Won't waste time again, just exists as an information gathering exercise.
