The manager and tutors were excellent. They adjusted techniques to met my sons needs and mixed the criteria up a bit to help with his low attention span. Can highly recommended tutoring hero’s, very personal and professional.

Leah has been tutoring my son for a few months and whilst he was not behind in maths, the extra revision and tuition has helped secure formulas and equations. The one to one sessions also allow for direct discussion and facilitate exploration of the ‘how’s and why’s’ in maths.

My daughter has been working with Leah for the past six weeks or so and we are really pleased. The sessions are very serious and have covered a wide range of topics. Leah is up-to-date with the current curriculum, so she is able to tutor our daughter on precisely the areas needed and most relevant. It has been very convenient to have the sessions online and we have found the webpage interface to be very user friendly.

My 10 year old boy enjoys maths & we decided to try this instead of another activity. It would be easy to go through the motions with him but Chloe thoroughly prepares interesting, challenging sessions, keeping him motivated & stretching him without pressuring him. Her manner is lovely, she’s positive & friendly & regularly praises him when he does well. For someone still learning her trade, she is doing an amazing job. It’s a great idea having young tutors who are no doubt easier for the kids to relate to than their school teachers. We also receive regular, informative & extremely detailed feedback on what he has been studying & his progress. Chloe has been flexible, understanding & helpful when there have been clashes with his football or during holidays. The service has been superb value for money & the set up is excellent. I would happily recommend them to friends & family. Keep up the good work!

My son struggled with his maths I contacted Alan he was so helpful and arranged a tutour called Jessica who was fab ! My son gained so much confidence and was excited to go to each lesson he has continued to do great with his maths all thanks to Jessica

The tutor that Tutoring Heroes provided was described as a polymath (a person of extraordinary ability) not a qualified teacher. Initially I was sceptical, but Grace, the young lady who did the tutoring was able to relate to my son far better than any teacher, as she was still studying for her Masters Degree. During this short time of intensive one to one tutoring (1Hr/W) she came alongside my son to improve his confidence as much as his abilities. She took my him from a Grade 3 in his Mocks to a Grade 7 GCSE in both English Literature and Language. This far exceeded what I thought was possible in just over 6 months and was worth every penny.

Excellent online tuition for maths GCSE interactive white board so basically 121 tuition from highly educated young tutors/ good for relationship as very different from older school teachers. Would definitely recommend Zayneb for maths who tutored by teen girl.

My 8 year old son has ADHD and dyspraxia, and he finds it incredibly hard to sit and concentrate without being continuously distracted. He is falling behind at school because of this, so we turned to tutoring Heroes for help. From the beginning they have been amazing! Really understanding of our son and his needs, matching us with a tutor who is incredibly kind and patient who really brings out confidence and enthusiasm in our son and making him feel like he can take on the world! We also really love the personal whiteboard element of teaching, which isn't something we have encountered before. During the lockdowns and subsequent homeschooling, he took part in lessons via zoom, which he struggled with, but the whiteboard element of Tutoring Heroes is really engaging and tangible for him.

My 9yo son has used Tutoring Heroes both in face to face group classes and more recently in 1:1 online classes for maths. It has really helped his confidence and abilities and I have found all the team to be fantastic in how they deal with the children they are teaching. Being able to have 1:1 online classes from the comfort of our own home is very convenient, the lessons are still available in traditional “school holiday” periods and my son enjoys them so much that he doesn’t even mind the thought of doing them through the holidays! Definitely recommend!!

The English support our son is receiving is very good, cannot recommend enough. Like many boys, he was not confident with it and did not really enjoy the subject. Lauren is very nice and patient, he always feels positive after the session and feels like he has achieved something. He is fairly new to it so waiting to see the impact in school but this is making a difference already. UPDATE: he definitely feels more confident and he has gained some good techniques for tackling large comprehension texts.

My son is in year 3 and he was struggling a bit with maths. He has been with Tutoring Heroes for a couple of months now and I can see a big difference in him. He is now confident and find maths less stressful. His teacher is really great and has definitely boost his confidence in maths.

My daughter has been attending Tutoring Heroes for a couple of years now for maths, firstly the group classes and now via a weekly 1:2:1 online session. My daughter has gained in ability but more importantly in confidence. The tutors bave helped her believe in herself and consequently she achieved an excellent grade in her most recent school report. The tutors are patient and kind as well as being extremely knowledgeable. The prices are very competitive with the added bonus of classes running during the holidays as well as in term time. I would highly recommend this service.

Alan and the team have been great to work with and have provided a fantastic service. My daughter has loved her online maths lessons and they gave her some continuity and familiarity during the unsettling lockdown period.
Her overall confidence in general has improved since starting the sessions, not just her maths ability. This has been noticed and commented on by her teachers at school.

We have been using Tutoring heroes for over a year now. From the very first point of contact they have been fantastic, from offering a free trial session so we could see how it works to adapting through covid restrictions without compromising children’s experience of learning.
I have two very different children with different learning styles and capabilities. One who is confident and enjoys achieving but is under challenged and one who struggles to concentrate in an ordinary classroom due to having ADHD. Despite their different needs, both children have completely benefited from their tutoring sessions and their ability, confidence and knowledge has come on in Leaps and bounds.
If you are considering tutoring for your children then I highly recommend this for any age and any ability- great service, value and results!
