Further to my earlier review, I have been contacted by Tysew. It appears they did refund me and it was a PayPal issue so I apologise to Tysew. If I had had more response when I have tried to sort this out since the end of May, I would not have posted a negative review. The matter has finally been resolved and I wish Tysew the best.
The only place to go to for ALL your sewing machine needs
I am ever so grateful to the Tysew team! I came for a coverstitch machine and they were very knowledgeable and friendly. Showed me how to use the machine and gave me tips on how to avoid issues. This is the second time (and machine) I’ve bought from here.
If you want to buy an excellent quality machine and also have great customer service all with a smile, Tysew is the only place you go!

I purchased the SINGER Heavy Duty sewing machine expecting a reliable tool for tougher fabrics like denim, but unfortunately, it has not lived up to the promise. One of the most frustrating issues has been the thread constantly breaking, even after rethreading multiple times and adjusting the tension.
Despite being marketed as “heavy duty,” the machine struggles with thicker fabrics such as jeans. It jams or skips stitches, and I have to go over the same area repeatedly just to get a clean seam—if it works at all. This makes projects more stressful than they should be.
Overall, I’m disappointed with this machine’s performance. It might be fine for light to medium fabrics, but if you’re planning to work with thicker materials, I’d recommend looking for a more truly heavy-duty alternative.
Singer Heavy Duty Denim – Looks Tough, But Fails on Performance
I purchased the Singer Heavy Duty Denim Sewing Machine HD6335M expecting a reliable, powerful machine for sewing heavier materials like denim, canvas, and multilayer projects. I chose this model specifically because of its “heavy duty” branding and positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.
From the very beginning, I noticed several frustrating issues:
1. Thread Breakage The upper thread constantly breaks, even when using brand new, high-quality thread and proper needle types (I tried multiple sizes including 90/14 and 100/16 for heavier fabrics). I followed the manual exactly for threading, re-threaded multiple times, and adjusted upper and lower tension carefully, but the issue persists. I also tried different bobbin winding methods and changed the bobbin itself, but nothing helped.
2. Noisy and Unstable Spool The top thread spool holder vibrates and rattles excessively, especially at higher speeds. The noise is loud enough to be distracting, and the whole machine shakes more than expected for a “heavy duty” unit. It feels cheaply made and not securely fastened, which is surprising given the brand and price point.
3. Poor Performance on Thick Fabrics Despite being marketed for denim and thick materials, the machine struggles with even moderate layers. For example: It jams or skips stitches when sewing over folded hems or seams on denim jeans. The fabric fails to feed evenly unless I force it, which creates inconsistent stitches. I even tried walking foot attachments and slowing the speed down, but nothing worked reliably.
4. Customer Support I reached out to Tysew customer support and I was told I can't return the machine because it was past the 14 days window. I also checked troubleshooting videos and forums, but none of the fixes solved the issues. Final Thoughts:
I’m extremely disappointed with this machine. It’s marketed as a "Heavy Duty Denim" sewing machine, but it clearly doesn’t handle heavier tasks. I spent more time troubleshooting than actually sewing, and now I’m left with unfinished projects and wasted time.
I’ve owned other Singer machines before, so this experience was a real letdown. I would not recommend this model to anyone looking for a durable, reliable machine for anything beyond basic sewing.

A Nightmare Experience with Tysew Ltd – Unprofessional and Unacceptable
We ordered two items from Tysew Ltd:
• An ironing system
• A walking foot machine
We specifically chose their top-of-the-line models.
When the items arrived, the ironing table was 20cm narrower than what was advertised on their website. When we raised the issue, instead of promptly resolving it, they tried to convince us to keep the item or pay for the return ourselves. After wasting a significant amount of time, they finally agreed to take the incorrect item back – without even offering an apology.
As for the walking foot machine, it was faulty from the very first use. Despite being brand new, it never worked properly. When we contacted them, they arranged for an engineer to inspect it via WhatsApp video. The engineer said he needed to inspect the machine in person. However, after five separate calls, they repeatedly insisted on remote video inspections instead of sending someone out.
It seems clear they are stalling until the warranty period expires, after which they can charge us for repairs on a brand new machine.
This has been a horrible experience. We will never use Tysew Ltd again and are considering legal action to recover our losses.
ADDITIONAL REVIEW
Now that the issue has finally been resolved by our local mechanic, it's important to highlight the frustrating experience we've had with Tysew. For nearly a year, they showed little to no real interest in addressing the problem — despite our repeated efforts to reach out. Only after we left a public review did they suddenly start contacting us, over five times in fact, attempting to appear engaged.
What’s more baffling is their recent request via Trustpilot for proof of purchase. If they didn’t know who we were, why did they continue to call us out of the blue?
Had Tysew demonstrated even a basic level of responsibility and common sense from the start, this entire situation could have been resolved quickly — saving us significant time, energy, and frustration. Instead, their lack of communication and accountability allowed the issue to escalate unnecessarily.
Frankly, it’s too late for apologies. The damage to our trust has already been done.

Genuinely have NO IDEA how this business has such good reviews on here. I’ve had two bad experiences 4 years apart.
I had to reach out to them as my order had no updates after the payment confirmation, to which I was told the item was out of stock. Would’ve been great to have heard this when I ordered rather than waiting for me to contact them. Even better, the item is still available on the website!
I was then told days later that the item is out of stock at head office also, and they expected me to just wait until they next got them in which was an unknown date.
I raised a case with Paypal after they weren’t giving me a refund, and when looking through the emails I’ve actually had the same issue with them before in 2021 with another product, but they were trading under ‘brother sewing shop’.

Ordered a sewing machine over a month ago. Emailed multiple times and got ignored. Phoned up for help and they said they would call me back. They never did. So again I chased them. Then I was told they didn’t even have my machine? They told me they would find the machine or give me a full refund within 2 days. Obviously I never heard anything back from them. Phoned but to complain and ask for a full refund. Got cut off whilst explaining my situation and frustration. Also I work in customer service I’m not rude I just wanted to explain at each step it went wrong and how badly I was treated as a customer. Don’t order with these guys. Go elsewhere
