Great service today from Nicky Black, he explained a few things we were unaware of & helped sharpen up the quality of the printing when it comes to fine line drawings, a great help to us.

Vile, disgusting thieves. Lulled me in, charmed me and then ripped me off. Ended up now having to pay HMRC monies for U-Tax dodgy dealings. I am devastated.

Scam Artist... Never received a penny and was unknowingly recommended by several work colleges. Make sure HMRC remove them from all future letters as they are sent copies of everything. Has anyone been able to reclaim as fraud.

Is there anybody I can contact I did not receive my refund Hmrc have told me utax have claimed my cheque

My husband used this company to claim tax back and at first we thought they were great. It took over 3 months of phone calls etc but we did get a nice cheque (minus their takings) which helped us a lot. Now however, it seems we owe the tax man several thousand pounds (we also have to pay back U Tax's %) and we also have to pay a penalty charge for being "irresponsible" with our claim!

The tax office are only giving us 6 months to pay this large amount of money back that we do not have and they say it's up to us as "they cannot reach U Tax". I am not sleeping properly due to the stress this is causing us as apparently the tax office can send in bailiffs if we can't pay. U Tax claimed for stuff on our behalf that we said not to as we knew we were not entitled.

The tax office need to look into this company and shut them down and then deal with people that have been screwed over in a more sympathetic manner!!

Back in August 2014 I had placed a claim with U-Tax and was told I was entitled to £4100, which I never even saw even though HMRC sent a cheque out in September 2014. At the end of last year I was told there was a mix up and I wasn't entitled to it after all and that U-Tax will refund the monies back to HMRC. I then spoke to a certain individual in January of this year who informed me that they will return the monies to HMRC as soon as possible on my behalf as they were still acting as my agents. I was informed a few weeks later by someone at U-Tax that the rebate will be paid back over the next couple of weeks. It was then a couple weeks later I received a letter from HMRC stating that only half the rebate was paid. I then found out that U-Tax had stopped operating and I wasn't able to contact anyone to ask about the other half.

I have now received a letter from HMRC stating I still owe them the other half.

I am now stuck on what to do and where to go from here. Can anyone help me out with this please?

Still waiting for over £3600 tax return from Aug2015. HMRC said that Utax received and cashed the cheque last August bit I've not seen a penny. I've sent in all forms as asked but still no reply. Thieves is the only word to use. I will be reporting them to the police.

Absolutely nightmare can never get hold of the company by phone and via email, why don't HMRC look into things U-Tax are scam! No calls back or reply. Don't see why money can't get sent to us direct seems it's easier to recover the cash then this. So mad!

Just received a self assessment statement from hm revenue. Stating that I had a refund via u-tax Ltd. I've never claimed anything else. Other than my uniform refund. So a trip to the police station serious crime department it is. I've now been left with a tax bill to pay. And no refund from them. Thanks u-tax.

How could this company get away with this? I can't believe they can just up and off? They owe me 3 years return which thought was coming off debt owed to taxman? There must be a way to reclaim?

Waiting for a payment from last year 2015 was ment to be payed in Nov received text message saying the company was now closed very professional I must say anyone dealing with these company's I spoke to hmrc and was informed that it is just as easy to go direct to the for such claims wish I had I would of being £500 better off

As some of the other people in here have said, I'm also still waiting for a large repayment. I've written to their 'legal department' but still waiting for any sort of contact. Has anyone taken appropriate steps to fight for their money?

After months of waiting for my check wich had been issued by hmrc the company have shut down and I still havnt received anyting .

I'm in the same situation been in contact with hmrc told me nothing they can do actually annoyed lot of money lost

DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY. MY CLAIM HAS BEEN ON GOING SINCE APRIL 2014 AND STILL HAVENT RECIEVED ANYTHING AND NOW THERE APARENTLY CLOSED. HAVE REPORTED TO WATCH DOG AND WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THIS COMPANY IS DEALT WITH. DISGUSTING

Please do not use Utax for your uniform rebate it is five months since Utax receive my cheque from HMRC and was told on several occasion my cheque is the post now Utax is not taking phone call you have to communicate by email which they do not rely to I will inform HMRC and BBC watch dog today

Poor service start to finish, taking money and done nothing for us to help with our tax affairs for our company, promised lots delivered none. Now won't even refund money when I gave them the 30 days notice they required. Total waste of time

U-Tax are good up to the point of taking your money. Seems like a easy process up until you have any questions etc, you either get a non understandable reply (they talk to you as if your stupid or that you should know the jargon talk of a accountant) or you get no reply at all.

This company took my tax refund and then hung onto it until i got in touch with them instead of sending it to me, they then lead me along with a string of bad information saying the cheque would arrive at the end of the month....

3 Months later and I am still waiting for this cheque, what this company does is nothing short of fraud and they should be shut down.
