Most incompetent company ever

Most incompetent company ever. I created an account and to pay for the car, they wanted to confirm via SMS, so I needed to change my number to one working in Europe. But you can change on the app, only by email (that I got no answer) and every time I called the support, they recommended me to create another account. I created 3 accounts, none of them were approved, the call center support were extremely rude and treated me like I was dumb due to their lack of competence. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone, 100% waste of time and patience.

If I can give this company 0 star or less, that be it. it's absolutely horrible to get an account verified with non-European license at least.
The customer support was extremely rude, after wasting so much of time, he declined my account activation, due to his personal preference.

Worst company to go for missing fuel…

Worst company to go for missing fuel cards and slashed tires on arrival of booking and still charge you to top it off was suspended from using the service during a booking and not been giving an explanation a bunch of kids running this company very poor should be shut down and buried in the ground

I used this company for a few years in London

I used this company for a few years in London when I didn't have a car. They were OK for the first few trips, but then cars stopped being available, I would get a call saying to go to another vehicle and they would pay for my cab. In my area, the vehicles were always filthy and out of fuel. I once got to one that had been in a major accident and just left in the street.

On the last trip I did I mistakenly parked it in a car club space as there was no spare parking in the geo-fence area. I then found out 2 months later that these ubeeqo cars cannot be parked in those spaces (literally the only company that cant) They must be parked in a resi space. This must be a huge annoyance to locals and awful when you are trying to drop off.

They neglected to forward me the fines until 2 months later and they have all increased, they also stuck an admin fee to this for the great service.

I initially disputed this as I should have because of the late notification to me. I had limited responses from Ubeeqo with no explanation as to why it took them so long to get in touch.

Last week I received letters from their lawyers threatening legal action. It looks like I'm going to be stung for this due to their incompetence.
DO NOT USE, DO NOT USE, DO NOT USE. Go with a traditional hire car company and let's try to rid these jokers from the streets of London.

Dirty car full of dog hair and nasty politics.

Awful. The car was full of dog hair that got attached to all my stuff. Then, the fuel was included, but only in selected gas stations. So they are not willing to return my money. Worst experience ever. There are many better companies out there today.

Final Straw

I’ve used Ubeeqo for several years in London as a quick car rental option.

However, I cannot remember a rental where there hasn’t been some issue one way or another. The car doesn’t open with the app. The car isn’t there. The selected car has been switched to one on the opposite side of the city. Parking fine was sent to the wrong address resulting in a far greater fine. Some of these are more problematic than others and unlike many reviews I’ve usually found CS to be helpful.

Now you may say more-fool-you for continuing to use them but the convenience of a car happening to be on the street behind the one I live outstripped these repeated issues.

However. This morning was the final straw. I’d booked a car for 5:00am for half a day - no problem.

On arriving, the app states the booking has been cancelled and I am unable to rebook this car despite standing outside the vehicle with an SMS gleefully telling me my booking is ready and waiting for me. And of course no CS to contact until 8:00am.

Writing this review from what I’m sure will be a very expensive Uber ride, I can say I have now entirely run out of patience with Ubeeqo. It’s a shame because it should be a very useful and convenient service but these constant issues will continue to turn away loyal customers.

Hugely disappointing.

Thanks for making me miss the food tasting for my wedding.

I have a Ubeeqo account. I registered in the UK, where I’ve been a happy customer for many years.

This all changed just now. I booked a car to go to my wedding food tasting in Spain. As I start my booking the car doesn’t unlock.

I call CS in Spain. They say the can’t do anything because I have a UK account. I call CS in the UK. They say the can’t do anything because the car was booked in Spain.

Excuse me? I was able to make a booking with my UK account in Spain without any warnings and only when I try to unlock the car, I face the reality of the situation. How is that possible?

I’m already 30 mins late to the tasting.

Spain CS tells me the best thing to do is to cancel my booking and to create a new Spain account in order to rebook it. I know that part of the registration process is to verify the drivers license. They tell me that I can call them back to ‘activate the account immediately’. Hopefully not all is lost.

Well… I create the account, call back. They say that they will ‘pass the note and to wait for a call back.’ That doesn’t sound like immediate to me. I wait and wait. No activation.

I’m 1hr late at this stage.

I become desperate. No other cars available with competing carsharing apps. I end up booking a taxi via Uber that’s taking me to my destination. I’ve missed almost the entirety of the food tasting for my wedding. I’m fuming.

Even now, as I’m writing this, my account is not activated. And I understand that they have a process. However, don’t promise me something that later won’t be accomplished.

Also, fix your system so that I cannot perform a booking if my account is from abroad. Or better yet, support interoperability between accounts from different countries. In other words, make your accounts global! If you operate globally, this is expected. Especially if I’m able to perform a booking!

I am extremely upset. This is costing me a lot of money, wasted time, and my wedding. I will be pursuing further actions. You’ve lost a customer in a very bad way.

Looking at other reviews, it’s clear that I’m not the only one.

Resident parking tax

The managers of this company are parking their vans in residential areas knowingly creating a nuisance for residents. They have no licence to do so despite their claim to the contrary. Do not use them, do not encourage them.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke! I rented a car for one day and the car wouldn’t close. I had to call customer support to get the car closed and was informed they would close at 22:00. Basically it meant after 22:00 I would have to leave the car open with all my bags inside.
Their answer? Sorry here you have 10€ in bonuses you can use in your next rental. As if that was enough to cover the taxis I had to get instead of using the car or the tickets I lost since if i drove the car after 22:00 that meant leaving it open.

Literally a joke of a company, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

This is literally the worst company…

This is literally the worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. The app is unusable, customer service is a joke, the cars are terrible. You’re better off with a traditional car rental, it’ll probably be cheaper too.

Bad customer support

After bringing back the car, the company send me an invoice of reparation of a broken tire. The tire wasn't broken during the trip (impossible to drive with it when it's broken and I brought the car back completely fine without problem). After talking to customer service and explaining the situation they tell me there is nothing they can do even though it was not my fault, because I was the last person who rented the car they will charge me for the reparation cost. Very disappointed in their service.

NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL

The app asks you for a personnal account even if your company has agreements with the company. So in general if you have more than one week to loose of your precious time I recommend to use ubeeqo service. Good luck

Worst experience

Worst experience. Rented a car in France and they changed my car three times, making me move of location the three times. I wasted one hour and a half. At the end, they couldn’t provide me a vehicle ruining my day plans.

First time customer and won’t be the last!

This was the first time I’d had to rent a car for driving abroad and have to say that Ubeeqo could not have made the experience more easy or their customer service agents more friendly and helpful. I was worried that *something* would not go to plan with the booking and to be fair, the only thing that did was not exactly an inconvenience to me.

The car initially booked was discovered to no longer be available for me and I was advised of this with 48 hours before the booking where I was offered a different car from the same collection point or the same car - I’d initially booked - but from a different location, but only ten minutes in a different direction so was hardly an inconvenience to me.

The only reason I have not given 5 stars for my review is that the car - on arriving at the collection point - was found to be very badly dented which I appreciate may not suit everyone. I wasn’t so upset about the dents as the car (Renault Clio) was beautiful and economical to drive but feel it would not be an honest review from me if I omitted the dents to the body work.

(It should also be noted. The car inside was clean as a whistle)

The car did exactly what it was needed for, to get us to visit our future wedding venue and due to the marriage we will be back in Barcelona another 2 times in the next year and will not be hesitating to hire a car from Ubeeqo again.

Terrible customer service.

I have used Ubeeqo for many years.
We booked a car for rental this weekend, because we have a hotel booked.

At the same time I changed my email address, because I have another email address that I prefer to use.

Ubeeqo then contqacted me later saying they cancelled my booking, and suspended my account, because I changed my email!!

So now we have no car for the weekend, and I need to find another rental company.

What a very strange policy. If you change your contact email, they cancel all your bookings, and suspend your account!!

If I knew this was their policy I would never have changed my email address.

It is terrible customer service.

I've adjusted my review from 1 star, to 3 stars. This is because in general I've had good service from Ubeequo, so I wanted to give a score reflecting my overall expereince, not just this one bad experience

Try to solve a problem and they block your account forever

Called to activate a discount I received via email and they blocked my account. They now argue I breached some clause of respect to their staff which was the opposite case and I even had to call several times and ask to be treated with respect. I demanded the recordings but got no further response. My account had 65€ in credits that I now lost. AWFUL service STAY AWAY!!

I purchased a tracker for someone with…

I purchased a tracker for someone with dementia which was advertised as having a voice function which it didnt have. I sent this back with a note saying it was misold on 24th Oct 22 and had a reply apologising and saying" the website clearly stated calling functions which were incorrect and I would be receiving the full amount as a refund. since then despite numerous E mails promising to chase up the refund and acknowledging the tracker had been received back I have not had my refund of £107.87. They have now stopped replying to my my messages!
