This company is RIDICULOUS
This company is RIDICULOUS! Every person you talk to lies!! One day they say it will take 4 hrs to fix, the next time 1 week to fix, then 2 weeks to fix!! THIS is the last time they will get my business. SHUT THE DOORS!!
Why?
Brought in my iPad for a replacement screen. They said 250$ I said sure, I regret it. My screen isn’t cracked anymore but now certain areas of my screen do not respond to me touching it. I have to literally SLAM certain parts of my screen for a response… btw even typing this review was disastrous. Maybe they can’t line up the new screen with the magnetic sensors which is sad… but why charge a full premium for a horrible job? UBreakiFix sucks. You’re better off getting your replacement done from that random dude at the mall.
STAY AWAY
STAY AWAY! I took my Samsung S23 Ultra in to get the screen replaced under the Samsung care insurance per Samsungs request. I was told that it would be ready in 2 hours. We returned in 2 hours to be told that it would be another 1.5 hours. When we returned we were told that the phone was ready but that they could not release the phone until Samsung gave them approval. We spent 4 hours on the phone with Samsung. Samsung said that they sent it over but the store said they never got it. I even offered to pay for the repair out of pocket but they still refused to release my phone. Finally Samsung told the employee to replace the old screen and to give the phone to us. They then advised us to take it to another shop, get it repaired and to send them the invoice and they would reimburse us. We did just that but when we took it to the other shop they opened the phone and had found that the employee of the UBREAKIFIXIT had purposely smashed the motherboard before putting it back together. Im livid!!! Be sure to read the reviews on all websites and you will find that they are known for this scam! When I dropped off my phone they gave me a reciept that stated that my phone was in good working condition and that only the screen needed to be replaced. DO NOT USE THIS STORE

APPLE IPAD FIX GLASS
I took my apple ipad in to replace the glass on it which was broken. They said they could do it. The charged us $100.00 for that plus sold us insurance which we did not want, they forced us to get it. Come to find out later that that insurance was per month, which they had not told us about. We immediately called the company and told them to get rid of the insurance, that we had not asked for. In any case, the iPad worked only for one day, than it stopped working all together. I know that this store was recently purchased by a gentleman from Ireland, he told me things would be different now that he took over. Things are not different, they still try to screw you any time they can. They broke our iPad somehow and are not taking the responsibility to fix it at all. The staff remains the same as before, so it is pretty much “business as per usual”. They will screw you any time that they can, and the don’t give a damn if they actually brake your product. I am sure I’m not the only person that they have done this to.
They messed my phone up worse than it…
They messed my phone up worse than it was, didn't fix anything and I watched a woman be charged out of pocket money when she had insurance because they made her believe they had her phone screen in but then charged her for out of pocket for them to go pick up the screen somewhere else. Over 7hrs they told me they were fixing my phone. They gave it back broken worse so I went somewhere else and in 1 hour they replaced the missing screws, removed the excess glue, they replaced the damaged antenna and put the right screws where there were wrong ones had been placed which happen to things I can't access so how the screws went missing could only be answered by the only other company that I opened my phone. Ubreakifix doesn't allow the costumer to see what is being done where the other company was done with me watching every part they touched so I KNOW they were honest about what was wrong. I'm personally disgusted by how the company ubreakifix treats people and products in this place
Killed my functioning laptop
This is for the Bethpage NY location. I have been lied to by multiple employees. And they killed my previously-functioning MacBook Pro. It's dead. Now I have to go to small claims court, because they turned this into a circus.
I took a video inside their store before I dropped it off Wednesday, for my insurance company. It was functioning normally. It just had some wax on the outside. Now it is completely DEAD.
They quoted me $100 at first. I've now checked prices at other uBreakiFix branches, and found out that an outside cleaning is about $30. The same day, they called me and asked for another $50, because they said that wax had gotten under the keys and gotten onto my motherboard.
They had me pick it up 24 hours after I dropped it off. I got home, turned it on and plugged in my external hard drive to do a backup. The backup took 5 minutes, because I had done one ~3 weeks ago. In that 5 minutes, my trackpad started going haywire. The pointer was moving all over the screen like I was choosing folders, then scrolling all the way down, and repeat. I tried to shut it down, but couldn't. If I clicked the top menu, it just scrolled back and forth through that menu. So I shut it off using the button.
I called this location the next morning, and they told me to bring it back in. Then I tried to turn my laptop back on, and it was COMPLETELY DEAD. I called them again to let them know, and then brought it in.
When I got there, I showed manager Ryan that it was dead, and now doesn't close properly. He kept accusing me of having liquid damaged my laptop. That's not accurate. Wax is a lipid. It doesn't conduct electricity the way water does, and wouldn't damage it in the same way. If any wax had actually gotten in at all. I have never been given any proof that there was ever wax on my motherboard, despite asking.
I called on Saturday to find out what happened and was told that they were waiting for the tech Tommy who did the work to come in on Monday. Then I was called by a different tech Diego on Sunday. He said that he got the computer on, but it would only boot into safe mode. He also couldn't get the password to work for a good 10 minutes, I don't know why. He took it apart while I was on the phone.
So I suggested that if Tommy cleaned the motherboard, maybe he damaged the motherboard. Diego then told me, that Tommy told him on the phone that he didn't even open the computer, so he couldn't have damaged it.
So which one is true? Either they scammed me for extra money, and didn't open the computer or clean the motherboard at all. Or, they did open the computer, and they're lying about it to avoid taking responsibility for having damaged it.
When I spoke to the manager Ryan about this today, he told me that there was no way that Diego could have spoken to Tommy on the phone on Sunday. Even though Diego was happy to tell me 2 or 3 times that he did.
When I came to pick up the computer today, it was handed to me on and in safe mode. I hit restart. It took a couple of minutes to restart. When the Apple insignia came up, it flashed with lines across the screen, and then went back to the Apple insignia. It never did that before I left it at this store. Then I turned it off, and tried to turn it back on, and it is now DEAD AGAIN.
Ryan has been consistently rude, arrogant and condescending every time I've spoken to him - twice in person, and on the phone. He was happy to hand me back a dead computer, along with some more rudeness and condescension. I asked for a full refund. He gave it, but seems to think that refunding me makes all of this better? It does not.
I gave them a laptop that needed some wax cleaned off the outside of it. They've given me back a laptop that a) IS DEAD, b) still smells like wax, c) doesn't close properly, so body damage? Who knows about the trackpad damage.
Ryan refused to give me a written diagnostic report of what work was done. He refused to honor the 1-year warranty printed on my receipt, saying he's not liable for "after repair damage". He refused to let me speak to any of the 3 store owners, even when I asked for them by name.
uBreakiFix Can’t Do Deep Repairs Despite What They Say
On July 2, 2024 I took my 60gb PS3 for them to repair due to overheating issues. One week passed by, never heard back from them so I called them for repair updates and told me they couldn’t fix it so they told me to file a claim which I did and took it to a different location. After I dropped it off they told me that they ordered the parts and would call me when it’s ready. Three months passed by never heard from them so on October 3, 2024 I decided to stop by and I asked them for updates, they told me they couldn’t get the parts and sent me to another location which was starting to stress me even more. But to keep calm I proceeded to go to that third location to find a solution. After I sent it in, a few days later they told me that the thermal paste needed to be replaced and did it afterwards. After they finished working on the PS3 I picked it up and after I took it home to turn it on, it overheated much worse to the point that the system died(Red Light of Death). Eventually I got a new replacement on eBay and informed me that if I ever face issues like that again, then I can rely on them which is what I’m planning to do from this day forward. Bottom line, they may be highly skilled technicians but when it comes to complex repairs like this they don’t have what it takes and if they tell you otherwise don’t trust them.👎
Took laptop in for sticking keys issue
Had a couple of sticky keys on my MacBook Pro keyboard. Took it in to see if they could repair them. Then called and told me I needed a brand new keyboard. $599 for the board, not sure what the labor would be. I declined the replacement, ended up watching a YouTube video and learned how to clean the under part of the keys with a toothpick and alcohol. Keys work great.
My big question to ubreakIFix, you have these highly skilled techs, but they went with this huge replacement instead of a simple cleaning that would have corrected the problem.
This lesson cost me $63, but I know this, I will never ever go to a UbreakIFix facility again.

Overall 1.5 star service but the people were polite so its a 2 star review
A friend of mine wanted to do a cpu, motherboard, ram, and nvme ssd upgrade using brand new parts on her sons current pc. Normally this is the type of thing we do together but I wasn’t available and neither was her husband because of a family emergency. She found this shop and was quoted $99 the assembly of the parts, when she went into bring the hardware in for assembly, she was then charged $165 instead of the original quoted price of $99. Strike 1. The store assembled the pc but told my friend that the I/O shield didn’t line up properly with the case because her new motherboard was bigger than her previous one. This wasn’t true seeing as I have built 3 previous system with the exact same hardware. They also said that the nvme ssd was working but for some reason they couldn’t boot from it so they installed windows on one of the Hard drive because they didn’t want to format the old ssd that was part of the system with the previous hardware that was being replaced for the upgrade. But they still wanted to charge her the full 165$ even though there was the possibility that some of her I/O wouldn’t work. Strike 2. I called into speak to the rep/tech to get a better idea of what was going on and asked for pics. Its clear that the board wasn’t angled right on installation but my friend could fix that herself when she got home, the main thing was the parts were assembled and the pc was working. I told my friend to go pick up the pc and we would do the rest when we had time. I also told her to have the rep show her that all the I/O can be used properly by plugging things and for the price of $165 make sure they updated the bios on the motherboard. Upon arrival at the shop my friend was told that all the I/O ports now work but they wouldn’t let her go in the back to actually attempt to plug something in herself and that her bios was updated and everything was done. My friend gets the pc home, the bios wasn’t updated and still had its bios from the factory version 3.06 released on 2024-07-31. We then proceed to attempt to install windows ourself on the new nvme but can’t find it in the bios, we remove the nvme heatsink to find that it was never installed and the rep told us it was and it was working but they couldn’t install on it. Strike 3. Now with very little faith left we check the old hardware that was in the tower before the upgrade to find that they needlessly disassembled everything and didn’t return her old cpu so my friend had to go back to the store to pick up the remaining parts of her old hardware. Overall, the tech and the rep were polite but knew very little about pc assemble and did the bare minimum and got the system working but they lied about the bios update and the nvme being installed and working. For cell repair they maybe decent or even great but I wouldn’t have them repair or assembly a pc again.

Had phone screen replaced in May 4…
Had phone screen replaced in May 4 months ago and now screen pixels have gone bad black dots and a pink line in screen no damage to phone or screen at all and refuse to honor the year warranty claiming I must have dropped the phone and caused the screen to go bad!! Phone is in mint condition how to refuse a broken screen warranty when it isn't broken or cracked. Very unethical business practices and just be aware if you speed 400$ for a new screen if there is any issue they will not honor the 1 year warranty pathetic business
Saturday 10/5/24 I brought my MacBook…
Saturday 10/5/24 I brought my MacBook pro laptop to have a battery replacement. When I got home I noticed three keys on my keyboard were not working, despite them working just fine pryor to my bringing it to the store for the battery replacement. When I traveled back to the store to inform them on 10/6/24 and hopefully get it fixed, Angelica and Noah were not helpful despite Noah being the one who initially replaced my battery. They both said that Chris had the final say of what could be done and that Noah would call me later that day once he had spoken to Chris. I did receive a phone call from Noah and the only options I was given was to have them put the old battery back in and get a refund or to buy a keyboard replacement. This cannot be legal, especially since I did not sign a waiver. My keyboard was not damaged when I initially brought in my laptop but NOW it is and no one is taking responsibility for it. Despite many negative reviews on Yelp, I still brought in my device thinking how hard could it be to just replace the battery? Apparently I was wrong. Between the lack of integrity, incompetence, pi$$ poor customer service and no responsibility for the damage they caused

Once I escalated my complaint of my damaged keyboard by Noah to the corporate office, this is the response I get. Seems like no one is taking accountability... stay away from this company at all costs.
Hello Miah,
I was able to speak with the store and the District Manager. After speaking with you on the phone Wednesday I reached out to the District Manager and they reached out to the store. The store manager was diagnosing your device. Diagnostics take some time up to 2 hours. You then got upset when the host began working with another customer while the store manager was diagnosing your device. I do understand your frustration, but the store must continue to operate as a business. This continued to escalate and the store, with the approval of the district manager agreed to revert your repair and provide you a refund. Typically there is a non-refundable deposit on PC repairs, but they refunded you the entire amount except for $3.33, which they provided in cash. This entire interaction is recorded on the store surveillance.
Looking through your case the device when it was dropped off was completely dead so they were unable to perform any incoming diagnostics. This means we can not confirm the keys were working prior to the repair.
Kind regards,
Erin L.

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service! Dealt with 2 different employees with the same attitude. Had to take my phone back in because they could not handle a simple screen repair and then acted like they were doing me a favor fixing it the second time.Told me it would be ready by 2 the following day. Called them at 3 and at first he had no idea what order I was talking about and then told me he already had that done. When I got to the location I asked why they did not call me when my phone was fixed he said I don't know let me check, then proceeded to tell me it was fixed the night before and that is why. I incredulously asked so you do not contact customers that you fixed the night before and he said I did not do it so don't have an attitude with me. Wow customer service at its finest. Greenwood location NEVER AGAIN
Iphone 14 was damaged and sent in on…
Iphone 14 was damaged and sent in on 8/8/2024 for screen repair (pay $60 monthly for this via Verizon).
On 8/16/2024 received e-mail saying Asurion has the iPhone 14 info repair.
On 8/19/2024 Asurion can not tell me where the iPhone 14 is at-being repaired, lost, what ever. Asurion has an online chat-that can't help you.
Look I have used Asurion in the past-this process is a hassle, not worth the expense (aggravation) of their repair. Best advice is avoid and look locally for a shop-their prices will be better and you can keep track of your phone.
Surprise, Az
I went into a store in Surprise, AZ to have my cellphone fixed. I was handed my phone to answer some questions on a website, then returned it to the guy working the store. My phone was unlocked but I didn't think anything about it until an hour later, after I had left the store, I had three fraudulent charges on my bank account!
Gave laptop and was charged 400 for this
Gave laptop and was charged 400. OK. But then after some time the glue started falling apart before my literal screen (what broke) starting coming off with the only thing saving it being the wire that makes it work.
