Assignment choices very limited for…

Assignment choices very limited for restaurants and food on the go.
i only get Five GUYS and Greggs. I know they do Pret and other companies but nothing shows on my availability.

Been working for MarketForce for a few…

Been working for MarketForce for a few years now and with some staff there's no problems and they help you when they can, but with some like Karen and Paul C they treat you like your a piece of dirt! Karen especially thinking she can talk to you like she's a dictator when they have purposely acted up and done wrong. The company itself is good and with 8-10 of assignments go through fine but the others just make you want to scream when you query anything.

You could do worse ....

Pretty good as Mystery Shopping companies go. Occasionally they're a day late with payment, but they do at least try to be on the side of the shopper. Spelling mistakes (e.g. company's when they mean companies) occasionally grate, but overall they're one of the better ones.

If you complete any assignments between 1st and the 15th of a month (inclusive), payment will be made on the last working day of that month.

If you complete any assignments between the 16th and the end of the month, payment will be made on the 15th of the next month.

Once the transaction has been made 'Payment' will be displayed on your payment statement. The BACS transaction will be made 5 working days before the 15th or 5 working days before the last working day of the month, so this allows time for the funds to clear.

I have been doing jobs for MF for about…

I have been doing jobs for MF for about 6 years and never had any real problems at all.Always been paid on time,instructions are quite simple,and had many nice meals for free.The staff are helpful and will quickly sort any queries..For me its been a good learning curve as its helped me to improve my computer skills at the same time. If you have time on your hands and dont expect to make a fortune,its a nice little pasttime

Been doing mystery shops for a year and…

Been doing mystery shops for a year and a half now. I have been doing brilliantly. Pick up loads of assignments. I look on the site a lot though. I get a good few assignments with mileage which is great.
They always pay on time. Yeah, sometimes the fee is not that good but remember the free meals out and products you get. I've had lots of meals out, products from shops. I have also been to the casino and done trailer checks at the cinema.
The staff are always on hand to help and answer questions and get back to you very quickly. Never had any problems whatsoever.
I hope to be still doing this for the next few years.

This company are amazing

This company are amazing. I do mystery shopping to top up my income and also to put savings away. They have also been good when I've been doing part time work and have needed to top up.

If I've had a query about a job, I have found that my email has been answered promptly on the same day and the same with payment queries.

I had misread when I would be paid, thinking the money had rolled over when in fact it hadn't, it just looked like that on the website, so if you're worried this has happened to you give them a phone call and in my experience they do their best to resolve this.

Paul Rose, who I think is the manager of the company, is a caring, compassionate person and he personally phoned me up when I thought my payment had rolled over. It turned out that I had just misunderstood the website. He carefully explained this to me in layman's terms and my payment had not in fact rolled over, and I was paid in time and when I said I would be.

The jobs also give me confidence. I cannot say who the client is but I did a few of their jobs and it gave me a new found sense of confidence in going into these venues/locations of the client I cannot name.

Overall, the bad comments must be some kind of misunderstanding because all you have to do is email them or ring them and they sort it out there and then with great empathy and understanding. They are not like some mystery shopping companies who have the attitude of 'your payment is not my problem'.

I love this company.

Wow!! This is one of the best

Wow!!! This is one of the great group I've come in contact with in recent times. They have a better customer service and human relations which help them render better service. I am now into my 3rd year carrying out…

I am now into my 3rd year carrying out Mystery Shops for this organisation carrying out a wide variety of interesting job assignments.
It did take a little while to integrate myself into their system and the way of doing things but help is always available either by phone or email and I quickly learned how the system operates and started completing assignments and reports.

Some of these reports are long-winded and tedious with duplicated answers also not well paid taking into account travel, on the job time and submission of reports but the work is varied and interesting and the help given by the organisation is first class.

If you think becoming a Mystery Shopper might be for you this is one organisation I can vouch for as being professional, friendly and helpful to deal with.

Brilliant - just make sure you follow the instructions!

I’ve done about 20 jobs for this company. The jobs are interesting, rewarding, and not too difficult. The app is amazing, and makes finding and completing jobs a breeze. My key advice is to follow the instructions carefully, because it’s clear that if you do make a mistake (whatever size) you may not be paid! This has never happened to me though, and payment has always been made on time and in full (albeit it can take about a month for the payday). The staff are friendly too when I’ve contacted them about extra money for travel. The pay (the ‘fee’) isn’t very much, but you usually receive free food etc so can’t complain! The reimbursement almost always covers the price of the meal (if you choose your meal carefully), but do check the menu beforehand incases prices are especially high - sometimes its not possible to stay within budget. To summarise a good company who offer good casual work in return for free food/goods...just make sure you play by their rules. Complete the task absolutely as per the instructions, have your report in asap, and check menus/prices beforehand so you know if you’ll need to top up the bill with your own money.

Great company to be working for!

I have been a Marketforce Shopper for a couple of years of now holding a high 4 figure rating with (30 under the belt in April 2018 alone). I am afraid that I just do not recognise some of the comments made about this company - the Assignment notes are always clear and the questionnaires always reflect what has been asked of you. The wave controllers are always available at the end of the phone and they are professional and helpful - don't forget, I am a shopper who should know good customer service!

Trustpilot is a website of just that - trust - and I do - hence 5 stars!

I am experienced mystery shopper for years and have not been paid for my shops and these were submitted correctly and approved. The money keeps rolling over and no response to emails. Website buggy sometimes the app worked fine. AVOID

Am having a total ball with this…

Am having a total ball with this company as being a mystery shopper is great fun. Those who are giving bad reviews are complaining about not being paid because they did not undertake the assignment correctly. The answer to this is simple do the job correctly and you will be paid. I have always been able to talk to staff of Market Force either by email or on the phone and any confusion (which has always been on my part) has quickly been resolved. I think some of the negative reviews are most likely from rival companies. Someone did mention in their review that the amount that you are given as expenses do not always cover the whole cost. I did ask HO this and the reason is the monies paid out is decided upon by the company who is asking for the mystery shopper. Meals I am normally £5.00 out of pocket but to be honest I am eating in a nice restaurant with a friend for 2 meals and 2 drinks all for £5.00!!!!! Cheaper than cooking from home. I have been a mystery shopper for restaurants, SKY, bowling, soft play, had my nails and eyebrows done so me and my kids are 100% happy. This is not a job that will pay your bills but it was never intended to. It has allowed me and my kids to have fun, be fed and watered and come away at times being pampered.

Best Mystery Shopping Company

Best Mystery Shopping Company

Very surprised with the poor reviews here as this is not what Marketforce is about. I have been associated with Market force for over 6 years now and on their scoring system have a score of over 12000+ points. Having done over 1300 shops for them and dealt with nearly the whole team I can say this with immense confidence that they are a class apart.

The Marketforce team is highly competent, professional and treat shoppers with utmost professionalism, respect and integrity. I cannot speak high enough of Charlotte Hampton who is the backbone of the entire shopper experience. I have found her to be very fair, honest and transparent.
I have never had any issues with payments apart from two blooper tech issues where I was kept informed of timelines and eventually got paid. They are easygoing and very accommodating. You pick a shop and your personal circumstances change and which need a date change- you call or email the team and they happily accomodate the request. If they have a query they reach out to you and give you enough time to respond and set things right. Once your updated response is accepted you are all sorted.
In my entire experience I have not been paid for one shop because I did this after the window of operation for the day so that was my fault and I took it on the chin.
If you are rated high and are a trusted shopper they always give you the first right of refusal by CALLING you and offering you the shops to be done. Only thing which could be improved on is a limit of 2 shops a day for one of their Irish clients which can be a bother as you need to travel distances and still end up doing only two when you can do a lot more. This is something they should ideally pick with the clients.

It's never a one way street with them. They go the extra mile if you do too.

Love Market Force!

I’m reading some awful reviews about Market Force but I honestly can’t fault them! I’ve completed many jobs, if they’ve had a query they’ve simply emailed me / raised it online and I’ve responded. I always get paid on time and if you’re not getting paid you’re not doing them right. If you read the assignment notes before accepting the job like you’re meant to, you’ll know what’s expected of you and shouldn’t have any problems. The customer service is fab, usually Paul or Nancy, I can’t fault them and if I’ve had any problems they’re always happy to rearrange. Sometimes things in life do get in the way and you no longer can do the assignment but they totally understand that and just remove it off your account. Mystery Shopping is the best thing I’ve ever done, although the fees aren’t huge, it’s money you’ll be paid to buy something you probably needed anyways! Everybody wins. 10/10. Thank you Market Force 🙌🏼

Apppalling company

Apppalling company, as my memory serves me. BTW: if you've been shafted for payment for no specific reason that does not equate to a deterioration of value to the client - just petty pedantics deliberately woven into the brief or not to facilitate a reason not to pay - which probably means they've used your work got paid but still won't pay you. Just get a Subject Access Request to see if your work did arrive from their clients who hired them for the job they did not pay you for. The company must respond within 40 days and must provide all information you specifically ask for. Don't take any notice at all of MSC contract clauses that claim you can't contact the client for any reason. That is rubbish. You can if it is a Subject Access Request and seeing if the MSC has shafted you and you need to sue them is reason enough to contact the client directly because it is not the client you are suing.

So..

So... this is awkward!! I came here to talk about how much fun Im having mystery shopping with MF and everyone seems to hate them.

Staff have been nice to me so far, I have been paid for my assignments and there are a lot of them to choose from.

I think the reason I enjoy it is because I am doing it for fun. The fees are low and should be a min of £10 per job but that aside, I see nothing wrong. I get to eat for free and secretly fulfil my dreams of being an actress and an international spy when I go on assignments.

I think if less people saw this as a job and more of a hobby with decent perks, it wouldn't be so bad. Also, make the assignments work around your life. If you have to go out of your way and travel to do it, then don't do it. I have missed out on some great assignments because I choose not to travel to the other side of London for it.

Never had a problem …

I have been a mystery shopper for about three years and have never had
a problem with a payment (until today when a job I completed has disappeared from my account, so I might be amending my rating depending on how it is resolved).
You won't make a fortune but you will have some great food, visit interesting new places and make a few quid if you want to. We quite often choose to spend more than the specified reimbursement because that suits us. It is a great hobby and we are looking forward to another year of great experiences.

It's a CON

The system is elementary and the instructions for each review have loopholes so that they can submit your report, get paid, and not pay you. For instance, I had a job to go through a drive thru and order a specific meal then take a pictures of the meal including the drink. The meal with drink would not fit on the console of my vehicle so I took 2 pictures. Because there was 2 instead of 1 they refused to pay me. A second incident, the order taker got my order wrong and added an item on to my order which showed up on my receipt. I didn't have them correct it, which was not required for the shop. They refused to pay me anything because the additional item was on my receipt. By the time you go to the shop, make the purchase, and report you've invested at least 2 hours of your time. This equates to about $3/hour if you're lucky. Then they do everything they can not to pay you. Why would anyone not destitute ever do this?

The theme across many poor reviews …

The theme across many poor reviews seems to be that Marketforce pick holes in reports, however in my own experience when I have done everything as per the notes I have been paid without issue. When there is a delay in payment or query, if you communicate with them properly instead of throwing a hissy this can be resolved.

If Marketforce are reading I would encourage you to talk to the companies involved about increasing reimbursements to at least match the required purchases. As most shops are food based we are not talking a large cash cost to the companies and rather just the cost of making the food. Often I will turn down a job that I would otherwise be happy to do just because I will be out of pocket by the time I have driven there, paid and completed the report.

Additionally while fees can sometimes be reasonable, there are instances where I think people would be mad to do them. One such example is William Hill. This fee has now been reduced to £2 and I can't imagine why anybody would want to travel and complete a report for this amount.

My final advice would be to re-consider the structure of some reports. I realize that the clients will have a big say in this but it can be off putting. A good example would be Pret a Manger where the same questions are repeatedly asked in different forms. You are asked about every aspect of the visit and then asked to describe the entire visit from start to finish separately. You are asked about your purchases three times (1. In a question in the report, 2. On the confirmation screen when confirming what was spent. 3. By submitting the receipt). It's my belief that some of these reports could be halved in size while still providing all the necessary information.

Despite my gripes I have always found the staff easy to work with and of course if you are not happy with the conditions and fee of a report you do not have to take it on - but I would argue that with some tweaks many jobs would be much easier to fill.
