This company is a JOKE

This company is a JOKE. I signed up and was not paid for some jobs. My friends also did some jobs for service stations. If you buy more than the item, including the one they have asked you to buy, they refuse to pay you completely. What's the point in that? Just their sneaky way of making money and wasting my time and effort getting to that place and doing the job. They are rude over the phone to you and some even threaten to close down your account if and when you query something such and Paul Coleman who tries to justify his rude behavior by saying the clients have told him to close down accounts. Lacking professionalism. Honestly, steer clear. They will F*** you over.

fast becoming a joke!

Anyone thinking of signing up for mystery shopping I would not recommend Market Force. The fees are becoming ridiculous. Why on earth would anyone travel miles, to a one horse town , with limited parking , to then write a lengthy detailed report of over 40 questions for a measly £3.50.
I m bombarded with e mails offering travel allowance , when you ring , the standard 30p a mile is no longer offered but an amount averaging at 5p per mile.
I was offered a fee of £10 for a 90 mile round trip !!! for one job . Would not even cover fuel , plus the time and effort to get there , not even mentioning writing a lengthy report when you finally make it home. Absolute nonsense the spiel , we want shoppers to go about their daily business. Most of the shops are in small rural villages , that you would not be passing.
One co ordinator has been mentioned a number of times in these reviews as rude but the standard reply is posted. She should be dealt with, in any other job the management team would be pro active.
If management at Market want to retaim experienced shoppers on the book then action is needed now , update their best practise approach!.........would I recommend , a definite no!

Well Market force is at it again

Well Market force is at it again, with lower fees are arses “executives” who are really just people who sit in an office look at screens and can’t talk to each other. It’s all about profit margins for them and they say they use HRMC guidelines for travel well and I do hope Paul Rose replies to me here the guide is 45p per mile my friend not the 20p you guys quote. As for Karen Hendry maybe its time for her to remember that without shoppers you don’t get the work done and you don’t get paid by your clients, the most unfriendly email and unprofessional . So from now on Marketforce good luck trying to cover jobs in my area because I’ve blocked your area code.

Do not touch this company !!!

Do not touch this company !!!! They will find any reason not to pay you. I have done several assignments for them, and was aware how picky they are. They phoned me up as they needed help with an assignment and even though I was not keen to take it on, I agreed. When I came to making the report on this assignment, I was unable to. When I rung them up, they tried to blame me saying I had not followed the correct procedure, saying they had sent me an email explaining what to do but in fact I had received nothing. I have requested to be taken off their books and they did so without any hesitation so obviously they do t care about losing decent people. This has left me out of pocket and very frustrated about this company. Don't have anything to do with them unless you want to waste your time and money.

they do not come across as a very …

they do not come across as a very friendly company, I have never had an assignment not paid but I have had to deal with some picky proofreading, I submitted my last assignment the other day which I made no profit because the reimbursement and rate is what the meal alone cost, furthermore it was just a waste of money because I did not really enjoy the meal. I think after this one I will just give them a miss, exhausting and not worth it and they do not show much appreciation to their shoppers

DO NOT CONTRACT WITH MARKETFORCE!

If you are looking to contract with a mystery shopping company to make extra money... great idea... just DO NOT CONTRACT WITH MARKETFORCE! Over the course of 4 months I did about 300 shops with this company. My average pay per assignment for both shopper fees and reimbursement was $13.10 USD. The schedulers will continually call you about assignments before even checking your schedule with them on this same day. These repeat calls create chaos and serve no purpose when, for instance, you already have a lunch shop scheduled and they are calling you with a lunch shop. When you do have a question that is time sensitive to complete a project you never know if you will hear back timely or not. They do not list their phone number and state clearly on their site that they do not have adequate staff to answer phone calls; however, their email support of questions does not provide you with timely nor complete assistance. Additionally, they are VERY ADVERSIARIAL with their shoppers. They make token shows of appreciation- offering a birthday bonus for shops accepted in your birthday, the site is down on this day, and they do nothing to assist timely, and refuse to honor the offered premium. When you do record a negative experience during a shop (long wait times, unprofessionalism, etc.) in a report and clearly describe the interaction with "who, what, when, where, and why" they will contact you for additional information ad nauseum. It makes shoppers want to be insensitive to issues and not report them. Additionally, there is an associate there named Simonne who would be better served to work in a corrections department (yeah, that's right... a prison). Her communication skills are subpar. Her attitude oozes through the phone line. She has a no can do attitude and is a great representation of who MarketForce is through and through. You will find her name listed on many review websites as an issue within MarketForce. I requested to be deactivated from MaretForce as I have no desire to work for them in the future due to the cumulative experiences of the last four months. In theory this should be a great way to earn extra money on your own schedule but it is totally consuming and not worth the reimbursement offered. The icing on the cake for me was not being rembursed for a shop in which I followed the guidelines but their reviewers did not. I would never reccomend this company to anyone. I have found other companies to shop for and get told things like... "Thank you for being timely.", "This report is a 10/10 and we were able to submit it to our client early.", and "We are glad to have you supporting this assignment." These are things you will never hear from MarketForce. Also, my average reimbursement is now $18.00 USD per shop. Ciao Simonne! Ciao MarketForce! Good riddance!

They are not a good company to work for! Payments are an issue.

There have been several times where for no reason I have not been paid and the job was denied although it was done correctly. Their help desk never calls you back or responds to emails. No one tells you why it was denied. Most recently it said I did not submit the receipt which I did. Instead of asking me to resubmit it I get a request to do the assignment. I go back and look to see why they are rescheduling the assignment and notice it was denied due to missing receipt which was attached. Wouldn't it be easier to ask me to send the receipt then offer me MORE money to do the assignment again?

SCAM COMPANY - AVOID !!!!!

This company cares little for its Mystery Shoppers.
They are just trying to offer cheap market research to its clients.
by paying us next to nothing they can get a better profit margin.
business is business, but there is no point working for a company where you only get a PARTIAL REFUND for your visit and then you have to fill out pages of reviews for them.
Totally not worth it.
AVOID - AVOID - AVOID !!

Thank you for your feedback regarding the assignment fees. The fees / reimbursements for each of shop can vary. Shop Fees and reimbursements are determined on a number of factors, and these can go up or down. For the lower paying assignments, we realise that it may only work for our shoppers that are going to that location anyway as they will shop there on a regular basis.
We also know that not everyone will find the terms of every shop to be desirable, so we encourage shoppers to choose shops based on what is acceptable to them. You can make an offer on a shop that you see on your View Available Shops page. If you do want to make an offer on a shop, you will need to email us the following information.

1) Your Shopper ID,
2) Date(s) on which you can do the shop.
3) Shop Fee you are requesting.

If your offer can be accepted, someone will e-mail or call you. Please keep in mind though that we will not be able to accept the fee offer unless it is within our acceptable fee parameters, but we will do all we can to help. I certainly hope you remain with us, and if there are any other assignments you may be interested in at a higher fee, please let us know.

Please contact me at paul.rose@marketforce.com if you would like to discuss and I would be happy to contact you.

A disappointing end to a period of hard work with this company

I joined this company and completed hundreds of jobs. I agree with some of the comments made by other members that the staff members are very inflexible when it comes to changing dates and are not understanding at all about shoppers having to reorganise visits due to other commitments.

Some staff members are rude and inflexible. Some can be temperamental and impersonal. Jobs get automatically released from the account after midnight, very little time to complete reports, so you are constantly rushed to submit a report with little time to reflect and refine the report. You cant change a date more than once. This effects your points record and if too many points are deducted they close down your account and there is no room for discussion or appeal. Some of my jobs were released in error and they did not rectify the points record either .

In sum the company has a very strict and inflexible approach to mystery shopping. My friend recommended another company which I have signed up for and paid much more. When you sign up for a job, they call you and discuss the details of the job with you and then ask you for a date you can complete the job by, giving me at times ten days to complete a job and submit the report. There is no set date for you to go there but instead you have that time bracket to complete the job and you decide on which day you go during that week to ten days, if you can't go on one day, you have 9 other days you can visit. Their reports are also so much shorter as they understand that time has been spent on the visit so it is not fair to also expect a lengthy report. They only ask that you submit pictures of your quotes and location picture. Market forces reports, I recall, were so lengthy, It took so long to complete them as they expect lengthy comments and visit descriptions of 1 to 2 paragraphs per question. I remember going to do a job in town and dreading the lengthy reports that were yet to come when I got home which had to be submitted before midnight or else my job would be released automatically from the account and I would not be paid, thus a wasted morning or afternoon of work. Tough tough experience

With the new mystery shopper company, I recently completed a car dealership visit which took me about 1 hour to complete , less time it would have taken me to complete a market force job and they paid me 25 pounds per visit per dealership.I got to choose which location I went to so It was great to select locations right on my doorstep. That is a huge difference to market forces meagre 10 pounds for such jobs that have me traveling far and wide.

Some of the market force jobs I completed at restaurants and the cinema put me out of pocket. They never allow you to return items either which also means you lose money. The other company gave me a job in a high end clothes shop and I was allowed to return the goods and was paid 20 pounds for actually going there and trying on the clothes in the shop. If jobs are not submitted following a deadline, they call you and ask you if you can complete the job in the next few days and leave the job in your account. No horrible surprises of jobs being automatically released from my account!

I was so shocked and disappointed when my account with market Force was closed having reached 1000 points for completing jobs for them. They do not even give shoppers a chance to appeal or ask why they are closing the account.
It seems that they have plenty of people lined up to replace those that have been around for so long doing jobs for their company. My points record speaks for itself.

I am happy in a way that they closed my account because I would not have found the new one!!!

STEER CLEAR of this company I would say

Note: Just as a side comment. Is it me or does it seem like Lacey is Paul Coleman or a market force employee? STRANGELY this was Lacey's previous review or Market Force

Dont bother with Marketforce

"I have been with Marketforce and Retaileyes before they changed their name and were taken over by the US. They have gone down hill considerably, low fee, continuous picky proof reading queries. They have made redundant all the good members of staff like Benita Shuttlewood. I wouldnt personally work for them again if they were the last MS company. They wont pay you, be warned!!"

reviews - what a load of rubbish!

After reading the last few reviews, it would seem to me that they are all from the same family, if not, the same person! With regards to Paul Coleman, what's your problem? Just because you can't have your own way and change your dates? He is the only one with any balls, to say "no". Rules are rules, there are other MS companies, that won't change a date once. I would say to all of you (or just the one of you) that are slating Paul Coleman, get a life! He is a credit to the company, long live Paul. Even though I don't use them anymore, I will defend the good.

DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY

To sum up this company in two words would be dishonest and unprofessional.!!!! Also had friends tell me about this company so I decide to sign up. Regretfully I was not treated well by them and nor was my family, Paul Coleman and Elaine were other members of staff who constantly investigated my account for no fair reason telling me that I had multiple accounts or making up any excuses to investigate and close my account, I feel that this was mainly because I needed some (very little) flexibility with dates and they did not like this when there are options to change visit dates in the first place. I feel that since joining the company and completing a lot and more than 50 jobs for them they do not have any respect for me as a reliable and committed shopper and they take out their frustrations on shoppers and do not consider sickness or transport problems for shoppers to chnsge visit dates. I've moved over to another mystery shopper company now and am finding that I am being paid with a high fee for my work and am appreciated and spoken to with respect and actually given credit and thanked for doing a great job, and at last I don't feel like I am going to be scrutinised for every little thing I do. They provide shoppers with transport costs and allow shoppers to return items.

Market force closed the accounts of my friends and family also accusing them of being the same person when in fact they were individual humans even supported by sending out passport copies and recommended each other, which in actual fact sums up the way the company runs (by allowing colleagues to single out individuals they don't like and allow them to get rid or people for no good reason)

They lack any professional care as mentioned in the previous post and think that shoppers are mere numbers to use so that big clients can pay them well for the jobs shoppers do. There has not been a time where I have not tried my at most best to complete a job for them when they have called me.

SHAME ON THEM and the numerous reviews show a constant and reflects a true statement of this company who lie to get rid of shoppers. I no longer choose to be the sucker that wakes up and spends two hours in a store, travels there and back and then spends an hour or two, depending on the length of the report, doing a report for a mere 10 pounds. Then get told by marketforce staff that something was not good enough and at times refused payment for my time and efforts.

Students and decent parents looking to earn some extra money, don't waste your time and energy with them. They will use you and chuck you out when they feel and by personal experience will find ways to not pay you for completing assignments when they get sick of you . Most importantly I suggest to the companies who are affiliated to this company to get out and seek more professional and fair companies( various others like aBa mystery company) who know how to treat their clients and shoppers.

Had friends tell me about this company …

Had friends tell me about this company so I signed up. Regretfully I was not treated well by them. Paul Coleman and other members of staff are condescending, telling me "they are rounding up names to close accounts because shoppers are changing dates" in other words, because shoppers require some flexibility with dates they do not like it and do not consider sickness or other reasons for shoppers to request more time. I've moved over to the mystery shopper company now and am finding that I am being paid with a high fee for my work and am appreciated and spoken to with respect. They allow shoppers to return items that they must buy as part of s job so that the shoppers are not left out of pocket for doing the job in the first place.

Market force closed the accounts of my friends also accusing them of being the same person when in fact they were housemates and recommended each other. They lack professional care and think that shoppers are mere numbers to use so that big clients can pay them well for the jobs shoppers do. I once said this to one of the managers there, Beatrice, and she turned around saying "we don't care and it doesn't matter. At the end of the day you are choosing to sign up with us". That's the attitude they adopt for the shoppers that earn the company a big profits and we see very little of that.

SHAME ON THEM and goodbye. I no longer choose to be the sucker that wakes up and spends two hours in a store, travels there and back and then spends an hour or two, depending on the length of the report, doing a report for a mere 10 pounds. Disastrous Company. Reluctant to even give a 1 star

was reluctant to even give a 1 star. Unprofessional Staff that threaten to close down your account namely Paul Coleman. Managers talk to you like CRAP and when you query anything they just turn around and say sorry we won't pay you. Looking at the reviews of the other shoppers on this platform, they have simply sent a robotic automated careless response without giving any apologies or rectifying the flaws in their company. I HAVE TO AGREE with other shoppers that they exploit to the maximum. Only offering minimal increases in shopper fees if no one does a job. I would love to see all the shoppers boycott this company leaving them with no one willing to work for them. That would help get their act together, fire the incompetent inefficient staff they employ with some of them not able to speak english properly the rest think they're god and frankly domineering. Louise was the only decent person that spoke to me with respect and care. Poor poor company. poor poor treatment of shoppers

Have been a shopper for several years …

Have been a shopper for several years now and in the past have enjoyed it. However the pay is so terrible that it really isn't worth my while. Most assignments don't cover the minimum spend which is unacceptable. The only reason that I have given them 2 stars instead of 1 star is that they have been prompt every time with payments and I haven't had any problems being paid. Please look at other companies which actually pay a decent amount.

OK Company

The pay rates could be much better, and in my opinion, reimbursements should be full and not partial like many of their assignments seem to be!

That said, having completed a hundred or more assignments, I have never had a report rejected or a payment refused. My only slight issue was that one employee didn't seem to believe me when I had an unsuccessful visit to a location that was temporarily closed for a shop refurb.

If you want cheap meals out, then this company are fine to sign up to! If you're reading this MF, please look at your fees! 3.00 ought to be an absolute bare minimum for an assignment fee!

So far so good

So far I have only had a positive experience with this company. I only started about 2 weeks ago and have done about 6 shops and have 5 more scheduled. All of my shops so far have been approved, I have not had any problems with any of them not being accepted. Paperwork is a little lengthy and you must pay attention to detail. I have enjoyed working with them thus far. I will reserve further judgment after I receive my first payment.
