Prompt delivery and easy to get invoices but I ordered a batch of several 12v 24ah Exalium lead acid batteries, tested them all from new after a full charge, using 2 different brand new intelligent battery testers, and all of the batteries had half the stated ah capacity, and so were returned for a full refund and, I was told, a product investigation by RS, but that product remains in stock and on sale.

Great products and support - flawed logistics
RS online have a good selection of quality products and a great website although the logistics are not quite so good.
I ordered three items, one of which was my reason for order and the other two, though useful, were mainly to secure free delivery.
Two of the items arrived, in separate deliveries. A third delivery arrived, containing someone else's order. My third low value item never arrived. I was also charged a mysterious small extra amount for nothing I could identify.
I phoned customer service (before I knew item 3 would never arrive). They immediately refunded the mysterious unidentified charge and did not require return of the (low value) item that was not my order so I have no issues with that.
The website allows very detailed filtering to find what you want from an absolutely huge range of products (millions?).
They need a bit more attention to picking and packing the orders. It would be better to reduce the threshold for free delivery and to consolidate orders for multiple items into a single delivery.
I have used RS online many times, will continue to do so and I recommend them. Customer service do sort problems quickly and in a friendly manner but be aware there may be some minor hitches along the way.
Generally good overall experience
Pro :
Good inventory and speedy delivery. Prices are reasonable.
Could be better :
Sometimes the datasheets and information is in error.
Search and filtering can be improved further. This is a very important part of the experience.
It would be good if more effort is made to provide 3D CAD models.
Poor :
Packaging from RS is probably the worst. While the delivery boxes provide good protection for the goods, they are impossible to open cleanly and most of the time is not re-useable. Definitely needs urgent improvement
Delivery was fast
Delivery was fast. Sadly it was the wring item and was my mistake, however it would have helped of the photos of item showed the full product. Their Customer Service team was brilliant, thanks to Susan and Tara. I sent item back and got a fast refund.

A positive experience
RS had the parts I needed in stock, despatched them on time and, the delivery actually arrived early!
Poor delivery services
Delivery times to Northern Ireland used to be next day, as a maintenance company we rely on this to keep the food sector going. If we make an order now we are lucky to see it within 3 days which is very disappointing. We have now started to use elsewhere for our parts that's needed next day.
