Ordering WAS easy?????

Ordering was easy, delivery is a nightmare. Used to be next day, now next week maybe. AI chatbot very polite offers to connect you with a human, it says 4mins more like 4 hrs but couldn't wait that long.
Ordered welsewhere, found it cheaper too, next day delivery no problem. Maybe RS is no longer the place to go!! This is NOT the first time I've had an issue but they have no way to correct their mistakes just platitudes.

Enormous range of products

Easy to buy online.
Prompt delivery.
Reasonable price.
Rs components have long been a very respected supplier to the electronics industry.
I have been a customer for many, many (~40) years.

I ordered an item knowing that RS price…

I ordered an item knowing that RS price was dearer but needed it soon - it was in stock and confirmed for delivery on 6th March.
The item didn't arrive on the 6th so I phoned RS to which the operator replied that it been put on back-order until the 20th March - I asked why I wasn't informed - she replied that it's not something RS do.
So not only are you uncompetitive on price, you don't deliver on time either.

Huge range of electronic components in stock

RS have a wide selection of electronic components at competitive prices. I recently found an electrical connector that was an ideal fit for an electronic project I was working on. I could not find a suitable connector anywhere else. I was really pleased and appreciative of the huge range of stock.

Seek and you might find ...

I ordered some face masks on-line that were like a last chance purchase but the order confirmation came through saying it couldn't be supplied. When I phoned through the product was actually still available; twas a glitch in the system.

If you know what you want then you have a good service. If you are reliant on their search engine to find something then it has some big flaws that make it hard to find what you're after. The search engine could do with a complete rewrite.

Not good service for ordinary people

Not next working day delivery for ordinary people. if your order less than the minimum order they will charge you around £9 for small item packing fee. This means: if they can deliver or you have to return the item you will loos money.

Poor delivery time

I've found that of lately the delivery service is not usually next day, some deliveries run into the next week. This is frustrating especially when the product is stated as available.

Gossen Metrawatt

We was having real issues getting our product as we did not have enough credit on a credit card due to the high amount - Wendy in accounts got this sorted for us and made it all seamless once she was involved.
