Posted a request for Bathroom refurb and within minutes I have got a call from Natalia very friendly lady to ask, as to when can I have fitters to come around and quote for work and within minutes I had 3 bathroom fitter all were insured called and booked a time and come and see the job , very impressed and very efficient service , we know who we will hire now to do our bathroom , Thank you and will use this service again.

Service Providers Beware!
Their website claims in a number of places that there are no fixed costs for service providers. Their terms and conditions make no mention of a monthly subscription fee. Yet we were charged an ongoing monthly fee without being informed that this was required and without our consent. Attempts to recover the charge from Servicestart have proved fruitless. We have now reported the matter to our bank to recover the money.
UPDATE: The charge that they refer to is described at the point of billing and on the receipt as a "manual system access fee" NOT as a monthly recurring fee. At no point in any communication to me or anywhere on their website is a monthly recurring fee referred to.

we assume you mean the GBP 19 (ex VAT) debit to your account the other week. We are sorry you feel this way. However, we want to make it clear what happened. When you sign up you are given the choice between the Manual platform and the Digital platform. You selected the Manual platform which carries a GBP 19 monthly access fee starting from the day you respond to your first lead. The Digital platform has no fixed costs at all. Neither platform has any binding period, you can cancel anytime.
Secondly, the Manual access fee you paid was clearly displayed to you when you started the subscription for it. According to Adyen the payment processing solution used none except yourself could have paid and confirmed this. A receipt clearly detailing the payment was also sent to you after the you made purchase. On the page you paid the GBP 19 monthly access was clearly displayed and explained this was a monthly recurring fee. You did not dispute this payment. In closing, you could have stopped the subscription anytime during the 30 day period leading up to the renewal but you did not. Please contact us if you would like to use the Digital platform instead.

We deliberately have opted to be different from other channels in the way that we only live off what we develier to you. No binding periods or annual contracts. When we get this type of feednack we feel even more we are on the right track.
Very efficient, effective and friendly service
I used servicestart to find an accountant to sort out our first year end accounts. I received a response immediately from a firm and later a second firm. Both were impressive but I opted for the first contact and have been very impressed. Servicestart contacted me again a week after my initial enquiry to ask if I would like further contacts or if I had found what I was looking for. Very helpful and friendly service.

Service start helped me find builders I needed
Service start helped find builder to do my bathroom.
I submitted a description of what I needed done and they pass my request to 4 potential builders to take the job. The builders would then get in touch with me to look into the job and provide a quote.
Service Start also followed up with me afterwards to make I had received the quotes I was looking for or whether I needed to be put in touch with other builders.
I ended up going with one the builders I found through Service Start and I'm happy with the results.

That is great news! However, maybe not all our clients are as successful as you we still expect all service providers using our service over time to do it profitable even if they are not as successful as you are.
This is why we dont apply binding periods or annual contracts, if our service does not work even after tryi ng it out for 30-40 leads you should be able to quit without beeing tied into a contract.
