I’m very disappointed with the Spot Care Oral Sonic Tooth Wash and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve only had the unit for a few weeks and already the UV function has stopped working. This is particularly concerning because one of the reasons I chose this product was the claim that the UV feature helps eliminate 99% of bacteria. With that function no longer working, I don’t feel particularly confident about continuing to use it. I also find the design quite difficult to use compared with other water flossers I’ve owned. Rather than being able to direct the jet at individual areas and control the water easily as you go, this is essentially on or off. The water quickly fills your mouth, which makes it difficult to clean your whole mouth comfortably in one go. Stopping it while you’re using it isn’t particularly intuitive either, as you have to think about which button to press while you’ve already got the water running. On one occasion this resulted in the water jet hitting me directly on the eyelid. Thankfully my eye was closed, because even through my eyelid the jet hurt. Overall, between the UV function failing after only a few weeks and the awkward controls, I’ve found the product disappointing and not especially user-friendly. I expected much better for a product designed for oral care, and I wouldn’t purchase it again or recommend it.
