I ordered a battery charger as my one burnt out on one of the chips on the board. When I got the package delivered the charger was fine but the box it came in was the thinnest cardboard possible and... See more

I have 4 yardforce compact 250R lawnmowers, great when they are working and in the 2 year warranty but once you ask for assistance outside of the warranty period there's nothing, literally nothing... Can't even be bothered to reply to email requests for assistance. I been forced into swapping parts around my existing machines to try and get a couple working. There's no aftermarket backup, spares etc. available... Shoddy service IMHO. If you're happy to just buy New machines every 24 months then fine

Yet another FAILED battery AL-G25, purchased August 23 from Amazon, now will not charge beyond 3/4 full. This is the second battery that has failed within 12 months. Last time I ended up paying £79.99 for this current new one, it is beyond a joke that these useless batteries are being sold. They are not fit for purpose. DO NOT BUY.
Paying nigh on £80 a season to cut my postage stamp size lawn is a ridiculous price.
Yardforce should STOP charging customers for these useless batteries.
I have raised a ticket with them to obtain either a new battery or a complete refund. The battery is supposed to have a 12 month warranty. We'll se if that is honoured, I shan't hold my breath>
DON'T BUY FROM YARDFORCE
EDIT/Update:
Having spent ages going back and forth to supply Yardforce with the details they require they have agreed to send a replacement battery. BUT, BUT! Guess what? none in stock at the moment!!! That's despite them being currently available for next day delivery from Amazon. This company beggars belief, they are completely inept. DO NOT USE THEM.
UPDATE 28/7/24
Yardforce finally sent new battery so at least the mower is usable again.
Battery came in bare packaging with no warranty/ battery info. I contacted Yardforce again to let them know I had received the new battery and queried as there was no warranty info I wanted to know whether this replacement battery had a warranty because unless the battery technology had been changed I expected another failure within 12 months.
They replied that the battery has a 12 month warranty and that the technology had been updated. What do you reckon??
I will not hold my breath and will attempt to claim another replacement battery should it fail again.

Bought lawnmower and Strimmer both have been great so far. Get at least half an hour of mowing done on one battery. Hope it continues. Both gr40v

I bought a set of battery secetures, mini hedge trimmer and grass clippers, the thing I use most is the secetures. I have arthritis and find that with the powered secetures I can cut more fro longer and they cut quite thick stems. The battery power lasts for ages.

I was very pleased at first but then my battery was almost useless after a year, luckily still in warranty so they sent me a new one. Now I have 2 almost useless batteries and I'm out of warranty. Looks like I'll have to buy an £80 battery each year!
I seem to have received a reply on trust pilot from Yard Force, however doing as they suggested resulted in no reply.

Having read the number of complaints about battery life, I can only concur the battery life is woefully short-lived! I first purchased my Yard force Mower, in May 2022, just two seasons ago, and I have since purchased two additional batteries, one a year ago, which fails after 10 minutes and a further battery a few months ago. I shall be returning two batteries to Yard Force demanding replacements!

I invested in a Yardforce battery mower and hedge trimmer from their GR40 range. Initially all good but within 10 months (over winter, so actual use estimated at once every 10-14 days to mow a 100 metre squared lawn for 4-5 months) the batteries failed: the time they would provide power to the mower for decreased exponentially until they would not take a charge for more than a minute or two, would only last for a similar period. Customer service replaced the batteries but again after a handful of mows the same issue recurred. Batteries replaced for second time, same issue recurred a third time. There is a design fault with the batteries in my opinion which they oddly don't seem interested in fixing. You can't call them to discuss, only raise a ticket. They'll happily change batteries for you in my experience but this would need doing every 4 months or so of moderate use in my experience. Only taking to small claims has resolved and resulted in a full refund.

A couple of years ago I bought a battery powered Yardforce lawn mower. This was to replace my petrol mower that persistently refused to start.
The model number is GR40v. After some problems with the charger and battery, which were amicably and quickly resolved by Yardforce I now have a new and continuing problem: Once the battery is clicked in place the mower works fine. But when I try and remove the battery the push button to release the battery does not work. It requires careful insertion of a thin metal strip between the battery and the release button. I am not happy that this is a workable long-term solution. So, I searched for and found the email exchange that resolved to previous problems. I replied to that email describing the latest problem. But immediately received a reply asking me to fill in a long series of questions about where I had bought the machine etc.
I replied to the email saying they already had a record of who I am and what model number the machine is. The same result: Automated email directing me to their website. So, I then phoned Yardforce and got an automated reply directing me to the website. My attempts to speak to a human were blocked at every turn.
It is clear to me that the problem I am having is a design fault. There is no reason that a well-designed click mechanism should not work simply and every time. And not being able to speak to a person was very frustrating.
The 20v cordless lawnmower is perfect for my small garden, is very easy to use and cuts the grass perfectly.

The power is great clears away dirt and ingrained grime with relative ease. If I had any observations in regards improvements I would suggest that the plastic power hose should be replaced with a more flexible rubber power hose similar to the one fitted to ithe we’ll know makes.

I bought a Yard Force iFlex 12v Mower & Grass Trimmer off QVC.....terrible awful badly designed rubbish....the handle once fixed in cannot be released for it to be fitted to the strimmer, it looked to be a good idea which had it been made by a company with a brain that had gone into things properly ..it would have been, it took three of us guys the release the handle to send the poorly designed mower back to QVC...my fingers were bleeding with the pressure we had to put on the very badly designed handle button....it's a waste of plastic making this waste of time and money...look at the reviews on QVC if you doubt this review of mine.....where is the brain power in Yard Force ?? worst garden product you could ever buy...and try to contact Yard Force to complain...so many hoops to jump through they quite obviously don't want to know....I'm still patching up my fingers after attempting to dis assemble this poorly designed handle fixing........stay away from it

Very pleased with this Lawnmower. Easy to set up and has started within the first couple of pulls every time. I have used it several times since purchase and find it a pleasure to use. The cut length is perfect for my needs and collects all the cuttings. I would recommend this machine. Good price, long warranty and easy to use.

I purchased a LMG37A Yardforce battery mower recently. The ease of use is great but do not believe the advertising blurb which tells you it’s suitable for lawns up to 400 sq metres! Mine is only 150 sq metres but with a fully charged battery it managed only 100 sq metres before the battery conked out. Very disappointed and I think it should be supplied with a spare, or a larger capacity battery. I’m not happy to have to pay another £80 to purchase a spare battery

The lawn mower appears to be well made and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it started compared to my broken down one. Fingers crossed there won’t be any problems with this one.

Arrived damaged reported it asked for a refund 5 weeks later…… nothing. Exceptionally poor customer service, don’t care, put obstacles in your way to resolve issue. Cannot speak to a human being!

only had the mower two weeks cut the grass with it three times so far so good a good mower as far as l can see.

We had a problem before we used it where the battery charger was not working. I had a email conversation backwards and forwards with YardForce support but eventually the whole mower was replaced by Amazon when my daughter took charge, and the old one is still sitting in our hall waiting for Everi to collect.

Nicky the Customer Services Assistant Manager was excellent in dealing with my warranty claim and sorting out the problems, but in all other respects the customer service from Sumec UK was completely woeful. Almost impossible to make initial contact about the problem by phone, email and web chat. Hopeless systems that say the fault is fixed when it is not. Then shipping experience was worst ever with the wrong mower sent back. The actual repair was handled quickly and effectively but the rest of the experience completely turned me off this company. Awful.
