7 week wait for installation but charged weeks before

Refused to set the subscription start date from the installation date, which I had to wait 7 weeks for. Therefore, I'm charged £75 for a service that I have yet to experience. Tried bot support, but then passed to a human who I thought would see the sense and unfairness in this. Sadly not :(

Great upgrade

I live on the North York moors at the end of a valley. No mobile signal and until recently 30mps beamed in via radio waves through Boundless Broadband at £29.99 pm. Saw the £35 pm offer from Starlink, free equipment, £19 p &p, and subsequently £475 installation through Home Vision. Seamless from ordering to powering up. Averaging downloads of 98 mps, 30 upload and minuscule latency. 100 mps is quite enough for video calling, streaming tv, and general internet use. Bought a second mini router to boost the signal upstairs. Thus far very happy and would recommend if no other or very limited options.

Placed order with complete trust and cancelled my other supplier. Order now delayed and very disappointed. I now have the hassle of trying to delay my cancellation. Not very impressed so far!

Congratulations to those lucky people who received their equipment. I’d love to write a positive review of how well the equipment works but if they can’t even manage to send it out to me, I don’t hold a lot of hope of it working if I do ever receive it. Watch this space.

Don't get starlink

Don't get starlink, I live in a rural location and thought this would be the answer but after nearly 2 year it has been nothing but short of useless and thats with the dish having no obstructions what so ever. The technical back up is useless with them taking ages to respond and having nothing of use to offer.
DO NOT GET STARLINK.

I found the order process painless

I found the order process painless. The plan was easily selected, the kit arrived on time. An installation provider contacted me within 2 days of the order being placed. The date we selected for install was met and the install was very good. There were certain challenges with the install but the installer gave me options and they were overcome. Long story short we live in a rural area and before Starlink my average internet speed was only 12 Mbps it is now consistently above 300 Mbps. Thank you Starlink!

The Absolute WoThe Absolute Worst Experience Imaginable – Even the Devil Wouldn't Touch This Servicerst Experience…

This has been hands-down the most infuriating, soul-destroying experience of my entire life. Starlink UK is a complete scam wrapped in incompetence, arrogance, and zero accountability. Avoid at all costs – I wish I could give negative stars.
I ordered the kit months ago, paid a fortune upfront including ridiculous surcharges for "popular areas," and waited... and waited... and waited. Installation? Forget it. Promised delivery dates came and went with zero communication. The package supposedly arrived via DHL, but it never showed up at my door. DHL says it's lost in their depot, Starlink claims it was delivered. Neither will take responsibility.
Tried contacting support? Impossible. No phone number that actually connects to a human – just endless loops telling you to "use the app" or "email support." The AI bot (Grok or whatever they call that useless chatbot) is an absolute joke: it gives generic, scripted nonsense, repeats the same unhelpful advice over and over ("check your account," "submit a ticket," "go to the depot yourself"), and never resolves anything. It's like arguing with a brick wall programmed by someone who hates customers. After weeks of back-and-forth with the bot, I still have no kit, no refund, no replacement – nothing.
When I finally escalated (after dozens of unanswered tickets), they refused to send a new kit or refund me until I "follow the correct return process" – for an item I never received! How do you return something that's lost by their chosen courier? They don't care. They just keep blaming DHL while hiding behind their no-human-support policy. Meanwhile, they've taken my money and left me with zero internet in a rural area where I desperately needed it for work.
Add to that: random double-charging on my card, sudden forced plan upgrades with no warning, frequent outages even when the kit finally arrives (not in my case), and zero apology or compensation. The service is unreliable, overpriced, and the company treats customers like dirt.
Starlink UK is predatory garbage. Customer service is non-existent, the AI is insulting, delays stretch into eternity, and they flat-out refuse to fix their own mistakes. If Satan himself needed satellite internet, he'd rather use dial-up in hell than deal with these clowns. Save yourself the nightmare – go anywhere else. I regret every second I spent hoping this would work.
Do not buy. Do not trust. Run far away.

Never arrived and they refuse to send new one or refund

Paid for starlink to be delivered as well as the additional surcharge as it's popular in area. The delivery company DHL have had it in their depot for nearly two weeks and have been uncontactable,Starlink think it's been delivered as the delivery date was earlier in the week when flagging that it's not arrived yet, there advice via grot was to go to the depot and have a look.... They refuse to give a refund until it follows the correct return process but how can I return something which the delivery company they've choose has lost so I do not have.

Just want a new one sent but grot said it won't do that until this matter is resolved. It suggested I leave a negative review on DHL but as starlink are refusing to take responsibility I'm also leaving a negative review for starlink too.

Badly managed upgrade to 100gb plan.

Sadly the 10gb plan is being discontinued, and I'm being forced onto the 100gb plan.

The AI contradicted my email and said I wasn't being moved to standby mode. But after sending the email to the AI, it then confirmed I would be moved to standby mode.

I was offered in my email 'Standby mode' for £4.50, and would be supposedly suitable for my needs. But this is useless for this at a capped 500kb/s download and upload.

I upgraded, and it was stated there would be no charge, and charged £10 a month for 2 months at 80% discount.

Immediately on upgrade onto this I was charged a non specified £20.29 pro rata charge, in which the 80% discount would be applied in Feb and March. I got the £20.29 issued on a credit from the AI assistant after requesting it, with no option to chat to a human.

This is badly managed, and the 10Gb plan was perfect for me as I am a low user, but need the speed.

Very dissatisfied with the whole experience of the upgrade.

Installation free of charge

Installation of the Starlink dish was done by Lee B, responsible for the installation in the area from at least around Newmarket to around Wisbech. Lee's work was precise, exceptionally tidy, considerate (taking into account my wishes) and he was a man with prefect customer skills. I recommend his services as a Starlink subcontractor highly.

Great solution if you don’t have fibre

After years of terrible service in a semi-rural area from BT Starlink has been brilliant. Superfast and super reliable. Installation was quick and easy but I have purchased 3 additional WiFi boosters to ensure coverage of all the house and a garden office which also work a treat.

This internet has truly saved me

This internet has truly saved me. My house is incredibly rural and has likely had poor internet for its 750-year history. I opted for Starlink despite its high cost and surcharge due to the area’s “high demand of buyers” which I find a bit cheeky. After all the installations (thankfully free) and router and dish, it cost me about £500 – eek! That’s not including the £80 monthly bill. However, I’m getting a stable 280-310Mbps even with the UK’s notoriously bad weather. It was fantastic, even during storms. My only complaint is that my house is a long farmhouse with thick walls. I had to buy extra TP-Links costing £100 because the router worked well but wasn’t strong enough on its own. The app is also great and works really well.

My Honest Review of Starlink — Worst Service Experience Ever

I’m honestly shocked by how bad the service is. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.

I bought a Starlink device from a local seller because I didn’t want to invest full price upfront. When I tried to activate it, I immediately ran into multiple problems. First, Starlink required me to create a new account to transfer the device, but the old account had an outstanding balance. I tried six or seven different cards, and none of them were accepted. Every attempt resulted in an error.

I contacted Starlink support and waited six to seven days with no response. When they finally replied, they said they had cleared the balance and I could transfer the device. But even after that, the same error appeared again, and the transfer still didn’t work.

So I tried another approach — I asked if I could just continue using the old account but change the first and last name. They told me that wasn’t possible unless I transferred the device to a new account first. So I was stuck in a loop with no working solution.

The support was unhelpful, extremely slow, and honestly felt like they didn’t care at all. The network performance itself is nothing special — just regular satellite internet, and definitely not worth the headache.

I absolutely do not recommend Starlink.
The service is unreliable, support takes forever, and they don’t help when you’re stuck. It’s a complete waste of time and money.

0.11mbps download speed, 0.14mbps upload speed, you'd think a company owned by a billionaire that shoots cars into space could afford to sort it out, so glad I'm not the one paying for it

Brilliant - for me!

Fascinating ... Starlink either works brilliantly ... or not at all it seems from reviews! I'm on the brilliant side at present, but of course time will tell, as reviews indicate.

For me it was a no brainer to try. West Wales with no mobile signal at all, FTTC but a cable over a mile long to it that kept having problems, Plusnet helpful, but max download about 16 Mbs with a following wind. Final straw was that BT told me the poles over the fields were ancient could no longer be climbed and could blow down!! And of course no FTTP this century.

So tried Starlink and instantly found mainly 75 to 300 Mbs download and few outages - with very clear sky view. My main concern was that I live on WiFi calling and video calls, but latency was good and video now much better and no drops so far.

Starlink not cheap, but kit seems good, and for such speeds in the middle of nowhere?? Just have to wait and see I guess, but so far excellent!

A couple of points.
1. Welsh Gov's fast broadband project seems to be pointing hopeless cases like me to Starlink anway (only option?), even BT seem to have abandoned FTTP here as well.
2. Used an installer, but mainly found out how simple it was - just connect and go; figured out my own plan for final position of 'flat dish' which I mostly did myself.

Money take from account without authorisation.

Within the first 30 days trial I was reaching close to expectations regarding being slightly remote. However when I rained I had no internet. Opened a ticket through the app and explained the situation. Received a call where they accepted that the speeds were not acceptable and that I could cancel for free. Weeks later £274.08 was taken out of my account without permission for cancellation. They now ignore me and say that calls are against company policy. I have been a victim of fraud with this so please please don’t be a victim like me. DO NOT USE AT ANY COST.

Absolutely not recommended!!!

Within the first month of use there were 2 malfunctions being on Starlink side. Once I obtained merely apologies and once I revived a new wire (which allegedly was the reason of the malfunction). I have returned the device using my 30-days right to do so. However, until today I have not received the funds back (I am waiting around a month now).

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Ordered a Starlink mini. Should have been delivered by DHL. DHL sent me an email saying the delivery was refused. I was at the home on the date and time DHL stated in the email, DHL did not attend my property. Contacted DHL twice, still awaiting a response, 10 days now. Starlink is AI generated response to enquiry’s which is a load of crap and sends links to web pages that don’t work. SCAM.
