The tiling course at UK Pro Tiling Courses was an excellent experience. I chose to take the course online because it seemed like the best option for me due to other commitments. The course was very well structured and comprehensive. I was impressed by the level of expertise of the instructor and how he managed to teach me all aspects of tiling, including the latest products and techniques. I also appreciated that the course included useful information about common mistakes that can cause significant damage and how to avoid them. The course was very useful for me because I gained the necessary skills to start my own tiling business. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn tiling, regardless of their level of experience

I’ve researched and found UK pro tiling courses few years back and only recently I’ve managed to complete the actual course myself.
I did complete online course as this option was better to me personally due to other commitments.
This isn’t just about watching videos but actually learning tiling from very beginning in greatest detail where Darren shared he’s years of experience.
I knew what I signed up for and, taking in to consideration that I had tiling experience, the amount of information I had to take in was unreal. I really liked the way Darren showed and explained all about tiling and not just that. It’s really important to understand for others who’s planning to sign up for online course that you have to be prepared to dig really deep to keep up with information Darren will talk you through and actually practice it at home while you have your workstation set up. There isn’t shortcuts to what you will be shown and what you will learn in this course as this not typical “another video” of how to lay tiles. This is professional course where you can learn everything about tiling and how to succeed if planning turn it to your business.
Darren has put massive work in to this online course and it is absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend to anyone who considers to go for it.

I recently completed the 5 day tiling course and it was a really educational and fun week, plus time and money really well spent. Not only did the whole group go from being complete novices to being confident and competent at tiling, but we also benefitted from an enormous amount of advice on sales, marketing and promoting ourselves, finding work, managing a business, and some of Darren’s personal life philosophy, all delivered in an interactive and entertaining, if slightly intense, style. If you have the wherewithal to make it happen then this course could be life changing. Darren provides you all the tools to get out there and start making an income for yourself. To all who are thinking of attending this course. Please don’t think just book it, as for the previous post this was clearly a case of being impatient and not following the format Darren has drafted to enable all attendees to learn and absorb the techniques. Whether they are business related or skill related you can’t just overload yourself. I spent 13 days at the facility and whilst I was there I came down with the flu. I still badgered on and Darren would always ensure everyone was catered for. If you don’t ask you don’t get simple !!!
I have learnt so much from this course and everything Darren has said is impregnated in my mind as well as being typed up on word docs for reference. The handouts are 2nd to none I’ve spent many a night reciting all the products and their specifications to enable myself to succeed. Darren is a master at what he does he gives you the tools to do the job but if you fail to pick them up so to speak it’s down to you !!!
Guess what I’m saying is don’t think you can attend this course and have your hand held all the way. You need to have initiative and be able to stand on your own two feet goes without saying. You do get to use porcelain tiles and floor tiles and de coupling systems , talks on tanking and wet room systems. If you don’t engage with the training you’ll never take nothing away it’s simple you get out what you put in.
I would of gladly stayed longer because Darren was constantly challenging you as you developed. Ok the accommodation was fantastic safe and secure next to a decent watering hole and I spent a lot of time with some great lads making new friends and tradesman alike. Tracy is amazing too very caring and thoughtful when she attends the centre it’s coffees all round and cakes from Greggs lol. Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Uk pro Tiling and it’s something that will stay with me forever. Thanks again Darren and Tracy and long May your Training Facility continue to prosper and develop the Tilers of the future 5*

Hi, I’m Spencer of Pro Tiling Solutions. I took the 14 day course at UK Pro Tiling Training in early 2017 having decided I needed a new direction in my career. I had undertaken many courses in my working life, some good and some not so good. As with those before, I had natural apprehensions about wether the course will deliver the quality of training I was seeking.

I decided to undertake the full course and contacted UK Pro Tiling Training after extensively researching Tiling courses up and down the country, and out of every one. UK Pro Tiling Training had all the right things being said about its content and quality of training.

I can happily stand by that decision I made two years ago, and know it was the right one. UK Pro Tiling Training lived up to all the testimonies of previous students.

Can hand on heart say UK pro tiling is second to none I booked onto the course with next to no experience in tiling ,when I had finished the 3 weeks no stone had been unturned .Darren "who by the way is the Yoda of the tiling world" a real master of his trade has a very unique way of making leaning not only enjoyable but practical a lot of group talks and step by step tasks each one giving the skills for the next its a real conference builder for the real world. I have been tiling for a number of months and am already making waves I have no doubt in saying UK pro tiling is a real game changer you will learn every mortal thing there is to know about tiling on this course and have the best possible chance of making it as a professional tiler

Working as a decorator and teacher for decades, gave up the teaching and signed on for the tiling course to expand my skills. I needed a course that was short and to the point and was a solid foundation to kick start a new side to my business. From the start the communication was friendly and straight to the point, as was the course. Darren fills the 2 weeks with info and tasks that give you a solid basis to work from. Accommodation provided was ample and nearby so no problem there. I drove up from Cornwall so was relieved when I arrived and settled in.
Since completing the course I have taken on loads of tiling with success. I find each tiling job throws up something new and Darren has been available to advise and encourage every time I need to ask.
Definitely worth a punt if you want a springboard into tiling. Very hands on, then it's up to you.

I can’t praise UK Pro Tiling Training enough and would recommend them to anyone without any reservations.

In addition to Darren delivering excellent and invaluable course content throughout, he also imparted business advice to give everyone that attended the best possible opportunity to make their business prosper and succeed.

The accommodation was excellent also. It was close to the unit where the course took place so only a brief drive there and back and sharing the house with others on the course was both enjoyable and useful.

Anyone looking at courses elsewhere don’t bother!! I researched all other courses in the country and none came anywhere near. I’m from Suffolk and feel that travelling to Hartlepool was nothing compared the benefit I have taken from the course. Get booked on to the two week course as it’s a no brainier

I'm very happy with my experience with UK Pro Tiling. Right through from first talking to Tracy by phone and to present. Tracy explained the course for me over the phone, so I understood everything and helped me to plan my journey to the course. She even answered the phone to me when I needed help from the airport!

I had booked onto the course for 5 days, but on the 3rd day I really wanted to continue, so Tracy sorted out the extra week for me. I then decided to do the full 3 week and this was also sorted out for me.
I stayed in the house provided by Tracy and made some great friends from the start.
We still keep in touch now.

The course itself had a lot of information in it, which Darren went through and also provided sheets to take away for future reference. I really enjoyed the course and felt excited and inspired by it. For me this course was everything I was looking for, as not only does it provide practical skills to start a new trade, but it also provides business insight that Darren has built up over the years and shares with everyone on the course. Product information is also provided, so people have the knowledge to use the right materials for the job required also. The business side for me was a massive inspiration and confidence boost to know that I can succeed, as this course gives you the full package. Darren and Tracy are really lovely people and I was genuinely emotional at leaving this place having had such a great experience and I felt cared for and looked after.

After leaving I have certificates and after care, so if I still need to ask a question about anything I'm not alone and the support is still there.
I also have a WhatsApp group with my tiling friends made at the course, brilliant!

Great course. Darren is a amazing teacher it's a lot to take in but well worth it. I've learnt so much on this course I feel confident enough to go and start tiling on my own. I've learnt more in 9 days than I did working on a building site for over a year. Darren's attitude is top notch. He practical covers every aspect on tiling and the after care pack is something no other course will offer. The panthlets on problems and situations is really going to be helpful if you ever get stuck and if you are not sure just email him. I would recommend that this course to anyone.

It was a 600 mile round trip for me, but we'll worth it.

It has been a little over a year since I attended UK Pro Tiling Training and I have never looked back. I am happy to say that I have well and truly established myself within my hometown as a recommended Tiling company. I have now gone Ltd, in the process of getting a brand new van, generate constant work and am earning enough money to pay for all of my family bills, pay for a wedding and put a bit away for myself!

Attending the course was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only is the tiling knowledge Darren passes onto you, first class, but Darrens' attitude to life and business is infectious, and this is where I personally feel where the course is worth every penny. Even now when I am working I can hear Darren's voice in my head, reminding me of the lessons that he taught me about business and tiling! Darrens' mentorship after the course is also a massive bonus as well, and that alone has more than paid for the course, in the advice that he provides.

If you are wondering about money and is tiling really worth it. If you stick to Darrens' blueprint, you can easily earn over £45k a year and have a good work life balance. If you are really driven, using the same blueprint, the world is really your oyster and you need to be thinking about getting a good Accountant!

My advice to anybody considering this course, is that if you really want to change your life for the better, UK Pro Tiling Training offers you the perfect opportunity to do so. I have done so and many more before me, so you can to! I would also not just treat this as a tiling course but also a business course and even a life course also. Really take in what Darren says, implement it. stay positive and you cannot go wrong.

1 trainer to 20 people , so if you are looking for someone to put time into you that won't happen.

Very fast talking and loads thrown in about what you will be doing in 1 day. It's just jargon to make you believe it's worth the money. Long story short , throw a few tiles up , cut a few triangles out, level. You will do a pointless diamond pattern , makes you think the course is value for money. Really its so he can sprint to the other class, as its 1 person to 3 classes a week. No one will ever ask for the diamond patterns you do.

Sealing tiles with silicon, his example is seal the corners of granite or marble. Making it look very easy , when in the real world its nothing like this. The pictures showon on the site you will be doing real life situations , around a sink.

Floor tiling was put 4 tiles on the floor , now u can floor tile, no cutting at all lol.

Tools on sale are over priced cheaper else where and stickers covering the makes on them.

The unit was freezing cold , people had to have there hoods on because the heating was on for a tiny bit at a time.

Toilet was dirty and freezing cold, heater had a label on. Do not switch on

Theres no eating area to eat lunch and the drinks are 20p each

If you question anything because you know he's wrong , he tries to belittle you.

If you keep asking questions he gets annoyed if its the same person firing them at him.

That's what £1100 for 2 weeks get you.

No settee to sit on
No iron
No washing machine
No freeze
Shared toilet and bathroom
Shower pressure was really slow
For 1 week we had no hot water to wash up
Heating is on a timer and locked away.
Doors just about lock to room.
Gaps all around the doors.
Aerial wires tacked all over the place.
Room for 2 cars only on the drive
Theres nowhere to park in the street.
6 miles always from the unit 12 round

Bed sheets get changed when you leave only. I stayed 2 weeks and it never got changed.

I had to buy extra socks and boxers as there was no washing machine and i stayed for 2 weeks.

That's what you get for £30 a night


On leaving a previous genuine review i was met with a reply from them about court actions for leaving a bad review lol.

It's not as great as the reviews state, for a start they all sound the same. You will get the odd review talking about a bad review that was left. But theres none as they get removed (MONEY TALKS)

i would not recomend any course where theres one trainer to 20 people running 3 different classes. TBH i never asked as i would never imagine anywhere would be run like this.

I had a week with my son and he carried on for the second week to do the 9 day course. Due to commitments i could not do second week. In the week i was on the course i learnt so much . It is hands on and in great depth. Superb training and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to get to do tiling for a trade. The only downfall was the driving from the south of England to Hartlepool as there are nearer places for tiling. The reviews sold it to me and i am 100% happy i chose this course

If you are thinking of taking a professional tiling course then look no further, this is the one! With that being said, if you’re looking for a slow paced course where you won’t be pushed too hard, then save your money! This course is for people serious about a career change and everything about the course is set up so that you can hit the ground running as a self employed tiler.

Darren is an absolute wizard and the information comes at you thick and fast from day one. You will not believe how much you learn on the first few days! I was an absolute novice and left the course feeling confident I could walk into someone’s house and quote for a job.

Tracey was fantastic from the first phone conversation we had and really made my decision an easy one. It’s the best money I’ve spent in a good while and definitely worth it!

Darren offers an aftercare package which I’ve taken advantage of multiple times. He’s always quick to reply and gives his advice willingly. I can’t thank both Darren and tracey enough, they gave me a lifeline from a job I didn’t want and I grabbed it with both hands.

It’s been a couple of months since I left the course and have held off writing a review as I wanted something to report. Since leaving I have gone self employed and have been able to quit my full time job. A job which stole precious time from me and meant I hardly ever saw my children.

I am now booked up almost into September and some of the work I’m getting is fantastic! It’s a daunting process going it alone but no one ever learnt anything in their comfort zone. Push yourself and go for it! If you take Darren’s advice and put it into action you cannot fail.

If you’re reading this and are still on the fence, don’t hesitate because life is too short!

I have just finished the 13 day course with UK Pro Tiling. I would recommend the course to anyone as it was just as good as all the other reviews make it out to be. From 8.30am on the Monday it was all guns blazing with none stop information and advice on how to run a successful business as become a top quality tiler. Darren and Tracey are a wonderful team and I can’t thank them enough for the last 3 weeks, I can’t wait to put everything I’ve learnt into action and crack on with what will hopefully become my new job! Hi all I have recently completed the 9 day tiling course. I have done a bit of tiling in the past but doing the course I realised how many bad habits I had!! Darren is an absolute genius when it comes to tiling; he explains things in a way that is straight forward and easy to understand. When you are not sure he will explain it again. The facilities and your mock-ups are just like being in the working environment. His knowledge of the tiling business is immense and after 9 days he has shaped me into a better tiler, the practical side and the business knowledge to go out and start my own tiling business. Hi guys, i have just done the 5 day tiling course and have got to say from being a complete novice the first day i turned up to now having the KNOWLEDGE and Skill i have now is just incredible. I now feel confident i can tackle any wall or floor with out any doubt in my mind so i cant thank Darren enough for giving me that confidence. As for the comment below, i was in the same group as this guy, in my personal opinion i cant see how he can leave a review like he did after only 1 day. I was stood next to the guy when he was struggling with the tile nippers after Darren had giving us all half a dozen SIMPLE instructions, even Darren went and stood next to him when he seen he was struggling and give him a quick 1 to 1 demonstration and the guy still wasnt taking it in. Obviously tiling isnt for everybody. I want to say a big thankyou to not only Darren but to his lovely wife Tracey who just makes you feel so welcome the moment you arrive at the course, especially when she turned up with cakes and donuts for the whole class mmmmmm.
