Really disappointed. Lots of good programmes to watch but it keeps disconnecting constantly. Add the incessant adverts, and all viewing pleasure is laid waste. Send me an email to tell me the issues are fixed. Until then I shan't be returning.

I think U stands for Unwatchable. I decided to watch 'Home Fires', and out of a 45 minute episode, it always starts with a couple of ads, then, 'Previously', followed by the intro, there's usually 3 ad breaks during each episode, and I count 31 ads altogether, not sure if I ended up watching more ads than programme. But this will be the first & last visit to this channel.

I can’t believe a company that supplies such good viewing would give house room to such a rubbish app. Those developers certainly saw you coming. Continuous buffering, crashing out of the app every few minutes. I have a 100mb internet connection the router is less the 5 feet from the tv and it tell me it is my Wi-Fi/internet connection. None of the other apps on my tv have any problems-ever. I never write reviews, too lazy but I had to make an effort this time. This is so unnecessary, get your act together

This streaming platform is not fit for purpose ,continuous buffering too many ads .when it drops it says contact provider which it never is life is too short to waste on this rubbish .

Trying to watch an old favourite 'The Good Fight' has become virtually impossible. The amount of adverts in relation to the episode content has ruined the experience.

The adverts are repetitive and intrusive and seem equal in length to the episode content. I can not continue to waste watching six or seven adverts every what seems several minutes of actual content. Do they consider us that needy to waste such a disproportionate amount of time watching adverts. I can't be bothered.

Utterly appalling. Played the first 2 episodes on Belin Station then count off half way through episode 3 then just wouldn’t play anything. Deleted my app and reinstalled numerous times but it still won’t work. Will not be using again. Never had this problem before it changed.

Congratulations on writing possibly the most unstable worst streaming platform I have come across , and that’s saying something. Loops back to the adverts and never loads the actual program , just says refresh and says there is a problem . I suggest this is addressed as your viewing figures must be plummeting ! I used to enjoy watching your content but from the reviews it doesn’t look like anyone can

Played episode 1 Series 2 of Cardinal without any problem then, after one advert. stopped. Logging out and in again did not work. It seems that there are many similar complaints about this site, but nothing has been done about it.

Used to be good now rubbish, It will just stop working and you have to re register all the time.
Pointless, who ever creates and run this need to consider a job change.

Have taken it off my favourites: wade through adverts only to have them play a few minutes later, then the programme starts from the beginning. Have officially given up. It used to be great with excellent content but now spoiled. They've done nothing about these problems

UkTV now U is the worst network I've ever come across. I'm all for charity donations etc, but this network is going too far with the ads begging for money. Sometimes five or six in a row charities wanting £10 per month etc. Pleading poverty cos funding is low. I'm sorry but if they cut back on the thousands they spend on ads they wouldn't be short of cash.

Too many of them, damned fed up of it. Stopped watching these U channels because of the repetitive bs begging ads. It's Xmas show some shopping tips instead of all the begging.

This used to be a brilliant apo but now it's appalling. Too many adverts, problems trying to continue watching a program & now they've stopped live streaming. Well done BBC. Will seriously be considering deleting this app.

Absolutely useless platform!

I watch various online channels on my TV and never have the issues I have with U.

I appreciate it needs ad breaks as that’s what pays for it but nearly every time it gets to an ad break it crashes just before the program restarts, there are then more ads and often crashes again and guess what - more ads!

I’m sure this is deliberate to force more ads on us to increase U’s revenue.

I’ve now stopped watching U as it’s so annoying.

Looking at reviews it seems it might be fortunate that after 15mins they wouldn't accept my email address. Please use different email address do they think we all have loads of spare email addresses just for there convenience!? Perhaps it was because we were paid up members of brit box but cancelled when they changed companies.

What used to be a good set of TV channels took a nose dive when U took it over. Trying to get to live programmes is a nightmare. For example, Fr Brown on Drama today Fri 22 Nov 2024. Screen full of what the producers think I want to watch, but live TV nowhere to be found. Gave up. Thankfully, I only recourse to UKTV in desperation. Absolutely crap. I only gave a star to enable me to write this review.

I loved uktv play. Since the rebrand yes the adverts are really annoying and excessive but the main annoyance for me is the Continue Watching banner on the home screen. When you watch the last episode in a series you get the option to watch the credits or to watch a suggested other show. I never want to watch the suggestions and sometimes they're shows I've already watched. I always opt to watch the credits instead. But then it still adds every single one of those suggested shows to my continue watching!!! Even ones I've watched. For example it will add s1ep1 of a show to my continue watching when I've already watched the whole 4 seasons that are available! The continue watching banner is clogged up with shows that are not my choice, and don't want to watch. I can't get rid of them and the shows I actually want to continue watching are pushed down the list until they're not even visible on the banner. The clue is in the name, CONTINUE watching!!!! It doesn't mean watch this other rubbish instead. Sort. It. Out.

The service has become almost unusable. Constant buffering and dropping out, jumping between episodes etc. Other streaming services are fine so it's not our connection.

Terrible app. It always takes at least three or four goes to get something to play, and each time you have to restart it, you get the same ads repeated over and over. It's the most aggravating app I've ever used. I want to watch classic EastEnders though, and I have EE TV, and this seems to be the only way to watch as you don't get the channel as part of the package so I can't even watch live or record it.

Would like to watch this channel, however impossible as buffering and restarting at beginning of program.

I’ve tried streaming programs from U and have now given up trying to use it.

After the adverts the program usually won’t restart without several attempts and often it will start from the beginning rather than where stopped. It’s suspicious that the adverts always play and when you restart the program you have to watch them over again!
It's a joke it takes 1/5hr to watch a 45min program because of having to refresh and then adverts. The ads always play fine and never freeze????? Wonder why !!!
