As well as feeling irritated myself, trying to binge watch Hypothetical, whilst at least 10 times a show it skips a few seconds so you miss punchlines and key parts, the talent involved must be rippin... See more

I have been calling their 01443 phone…
I have been calling their 01443 phone number at their Cardiff studios for over a week to ask a simple question . “When is Signora Volpe Series 2 being screened on U-Drama in the autumn.last year series 1 started November 1st 2023” I am greeted with “an advisor will soon take your call” . How many hours am I supposed to wait? So I pressed 1 to leave a message with a promise of a return call. Forget it! Then I emailed as I had done in May, still no reply to my emails.however in May when you called the Cardiff number a gentleman named John answered immediately giving me information I needed. But now no customer service!! In desperation I called their Hammersmith number today which I have in the past and had spoken to the contact I needed. Well they have changed the structure since becoming U. The number is just a reception desk with no means of transferring calls. Simply not done!!! So I texted a message today to Contact Us on their website, same requested “When is Signora Volpe with Emilia Fox being screened on U-Drama this autumn?” Is it that difficult a question? Their customer service is abysmal and since re-structuring has hit rock bottom! Has someone spoken to BBC Studios???
Very poor visual layout of rebranded app
Well, another rebrand and revamp which was totally unnecessary and is much worse than the app it replaced. Navigation is all but impossible for those of us with older eyes (apparently the majority of their users). A ghastly black background, with small white letters is awful. If you then add in highlighting headings in red, visual accessibility is truly compromised. Also, until you actually click on a program, what you 'see' is faded - a bit like trying to watch the screen through a voile curtain. I used to watch UKTV a fair bit. I won't be bothering now especially as I see from other negative reviews they've also increased the ad content hugely. Very disappointing.....
Too much adds since becoming U
I used to watch a lot of show on uktvplay...but since they got 'bigger' and rebranded as U, the number of adds went through the roof and even though they still offer the same content, it put me off watching their on demand because it is just too much. They should realise that the 58% increase viewer they got last year will quickly disappear if they keep insanely high number of adds per show.
14 adverts in a break.....
Contacted 3 times about advert breaks with 14 adverts. No response from customer service, so presumably there is none. No customer satisfaction either.
Goodbye.
Wow How bad can a streaming channel be
Wow How bad can a streaming channel be? Terrible terrible & terrible.
Endless adverts, buffering before during and after adverts. When the feed stops working, which it does regularly you only get an option to refresh which starts the program again, but yes you guessed it, not before more adverts, then when you fast forward to where you were before you get more adverts, more buffering. Just absolutely awful awful experience
Wow I used to love uk tv play
Wow I used to love uk tv play. What's gone wrong...constant buffering and almost unwatchable. The adverts play absolutely fine. A real shame its ended up as bad as it is.
Now they rebranding this channel to U…
Now they rebranding this channel to U I've noticed the have increased the ads now I have to sit through 12 ads thats effing disgraceful so now it more ads than the actual programme itself so why not call the channel U+ADS
Unbelievably bad!
An absolute mess. Trying to watch any programme on 'U&'Drama' channel (on Freeview, not streaming or catch-up) ... keep having to give up on programmes ruined by ridiculously frequent and overlong ad breaks; a story becomes impossible to follow. Also, having seen some of these programmes back in the day, being familiar with them, I can see exactly where and when they have been cut and hacked about, resulting in the narrative lacking both continuity and coherence. It all seems very amateurish; unbelievably poorly edited. (To allow for this glut of ad space??) And - today, transmission keeps cutting out! Anyway, 'Drama'?? What happened to popular drama serials like Vikings, The Tudors. Lark Rise to Candleford .. let alone the first rate stuff from days gone by ... like I, Claudius? Who remembers 'Play for Today? Play of the Month? Brilliant DRAMA! Now we have endless repeats of 2nd rate crime 'dramas' - and as for any OK ones (e.g. New Tricks) - by the time they've been shown for the 5000th time, they've lost their appeal! Who on earth owns UKTV? Does anyone? Or is it run by a malfunctioning robot? Sort it out!

I understand the need for revenue from advertisements, but I have just sat through 17 commercials in succession! This is excessive, and I am dreading the next commercial break.
U has ruined UKTV
It seems that UKTV becoming U was not a good move. Never had problems before. Now it is constantly buffering, loses my place, refers me back to home page then subjects me to a barrage of adverts before I can continue watching if I am lucky. Other programs breaking through and two adverts playing at the same time or an advert playing at the same time as a program. What has gone wrong?
Websited Does Not Work
Do not waste your time as this site does not work. All you can see is a red screen. UKplaytv just fix your site or take it down

asked to sign in even after starting to watch. kept asking me to sign in all the time has become useless to try
As a Tee total I find it extremely…
As a Tee total I find it extremely offensive that UKTV Play Force me to watch adverts for Gin & other unwanted Alcoholic drinks before I can stream a show on their app?
Don't waste your time...
Downloaded for a program I wanted to watch. Waste of time. Buffering every 10 seconds! 43 minute episode took me almost 2 hours to watch, don't waste your time. The ads are perfect tho no interruptions there!
Disappointing
Was so pleased to be able to catch up on a programme I had missed. Only watched the first 3 episodes of series 1 then next day couldn't watch anything except ads. Tried on my phone and was able to watch part of episode 4 before that went down as well. Today was able to hear but not see rest of 4 on my phone but on my laptop it is still not working.
Why do the adverts play but will not download content?
The app on my LG smart TV as only worked once for 2 days, then revert back to playing the adverts and then goes into tumble dryer mode ( ie rotating symbol).
I have removed the app and restarted TV to clear the cache and then instaled app with the same results will play the advert then goes into rotating symbol mode.
All my other apps BBCi ITVx Amazon prime etc all work 90-95% of the time. UKTVPlay works fine on my deckstop PC , samsung phone. I can view via mirroring from my phone. UKTVPlay support do not accept the problem with the app on smart TV's.
Why do the adverts play but will not download content?
Absolute pants
Absolute pants. Played 15 mins of ads before I could resume my programme then it had lost my place. When I tried to ff to where I last watched, it started another load of ads. Each time I try to find my place it sets the ads off again. Then it started playing two lots of ads at the same time so they are totally unwatchable anyway! Uninstalled.
The only streaming service that constantly buffers.
The only streaming service that constantly buffers and, yes, I have very decent broadband speed. Messages to customer services in search of a solution go unanswered so I’ll give up.
Everything's going wrong
Everything's going wrong. PATHETIC. I can't watch A SMALL LIGHT. You say watch FULL BOX SETS ON DEMAND. NOTHING'S WORKING. I can't get past Season 1 Episode 3 Motherland. Episodes 4 Butterfly and Episodes 5,6,7, and 8 onwards NOT. I REPEAT NOT WORKING. ENDLESS ADS. BLANK BLACK & BLUE SCREENS. IT'S TAKEN 2 HOURS TO PLAY SEASON 2 EPISODE 4 OF BLETCHLEY CIRCLE. Why haven't you replied to my Reviews and Emails Support. DIRE STRAITS. Support. 0/10
I'm trying yo watch Mad dogs and I…
I'm trying yo watch Mad dogs and I can't believe how many adverts there are. I've literary lost some scenes as I can't understand whats happening!!! Because the advert has cut scenes. Surely this could not have been agreed with the series makers. Its so frustrating!!!
