Bad buying experience

Had a horrible experience recently with this company! I ordered three cushions online - three days later as I had not rec'd an email stating they had shipped I emailed them to be told "there was a delay with order fulfillment that was out of their control" - a day later I did receive an email stating the order had shipped- it was coming from the UK to Ireland - I tracked it over the next few days and then to my horror when it reached here I saw a notification that it had been sent back due to being damaged!!! I emailed looking for a refund which to be fair they did make in a timely fashion. Today I rec'd an email asking me to confirm receipt of my order???? all I can say it that I would never order from them again and their processes and IT systems must be very bad indeed....

Half order missing and won't reply

Half my order didn't arrive (the more expensive items) and they don't reply to emails. They handed no phone number. They don't respond on any social media channels.

Will never use again. Wasted money.

Made in China not Northern Ireland

Bought a pvc coated apron (not a biodegradable one, the point of pvc is it's longevity should be value for money!) it arrived just in a polybag, no wrapping on the apron inside, no hygiene? PVC aprons from other well known brands have come in plastic cover, gift quality. This one looked unloved and is quite thin. Bought 'British' but label says made in China and that is not mentioned on the website, Disappointed. Didn't get a review request email, so came direct to Trustpilot.

Terrible customer service

I ordered a pair of oven gloves from their online outlet store. In order to get free postage I added a matching apron and T-towel and a few other small items. When they eventually arrived the oven gloves were missing from the order. This was very annoying as that was the item I really needed. Since, the other items were to match the oven gloves, I now have to pay to return everything as I don’t want mis-matching items! I complained to then on their online complaints form (no phone number given by this company!) and was told that the gloves were out of stock when I ordered them!!! So why didn’t they tell me at the time? I asked them to send me a free postage label as I would not have ordered the other items if I had been made aware that the gloves were not in stock. They have just ignored me. Awful customer service. I will not buy from them again!

Quality items & excellent service

I ordered some aprons from Ulster Weavers for presents recently. Some were oil cloth, and some pvc. They are excellent quality, so good in fact, that I then ordered some spare ones for myself, along with oven gloves (also excellent quality). I will definitely be buying again from this company, and can highly recommend them.

Dreadful customer service

The company has outsourced its customer service, to somewhere near Manchester and Customer Service is non-existent now. Instead of dealing with a friendly Northern Irish company, you have a north of England call center. Nothing got sorted because they really don’t care. Buy your home furnishings elsewhere. The quality has also gone down hill spectacularly.

I purchased a duvet cover online-…

I purchased a duvet cover online- unfortunately the colour is different to the photo on the website and I returned the item from Ireland via A Post- cost €15- on the 30 th August. In hindsight I should have registered the item but that would have cost me even more money to return and as I never had any issues before with returns I unfortunately trusted the system.Four weeks later I still have not been refunded- I have reached out via email and have been asked for a tracking number but I wasn’t given a tracking number. This company obviously has no system in place of logging returns- I included my email address, order number, name and address as requested and followed the directions on their website regarding returning items- I have been fobbed off looking for a tracking number- which as I have stated previously have not been given. I have returned many items over the years to the UK and have never had a problem. I will never use this company again- terrible customer service- absolutely no effort made to check that my package was received.

No delivery impossible to get a response

Placed an order on the 16th, no communication until the 29th when they emailed asking me to confirm order had been delivered.

Tried multiple ways to get in touch, their automated responses to some aren’t bad, initially you think you might be through to a person but then it stops responding. Very frustrating to deal with, they still have my money, I’ve requested a refund but no confirmation.

Wish I’d read the previous reviews before placing my order. I won’t be using them again.

Buyers from Europe beware that what is…

Buyers from Europe beware that what is mentioned as "taxes" in the checkout, is not: import duties. You have to pay import fees seperately, but this is not mentioned anywhere. Ulster Weavers shows you Euro's and taxes added, but this doesn't mean you're finished paying. I ordered a €9,95 item, on which €14,95 (ouch!) shipping was added, then €4,32 taxes, totalling €24,90, then had to pay an additional €13,78 in import fees when the package arrived in Europe mainland. These €9,95 oven mitts became seriously expensive (€38.68). When buying goods from Amazon in the US or AliExpress from China, import duties are handled at checkout. It was probably a bit too much to expect this from Ulster Weavers as well. Yay Brexit!
