I was introduced to John Gold, Underfoot’s owner, many years ago by my decorator. John carpeted my whole house (all four floors…) and has just supplied carpets for 2 bedrooms in our new home. He is adept at sourcing carpets one might have spotted in other retailers, (including discontinued ranges) and his fitters (this time led by another John) are first rate. As customers for getting on 20 years we heartily recommend Underfoot.

Spoke to John about what were were looking for. He showed us loads of choices and explained the benefits. He didn’t rush us in our decision. Jordan came round to measure up. Once we agreed to everything we had a date put in. The boys turned to on time and were a pleasure to have them fit it. The whole process was easy and I would definitely recommend anyone to use them. I originally wanted engineered wood flooring but couldn't find what I wanted at a sensible price. John suggested a good quality laminate - it is incredibly hard to see the difference. I had it laid in a herringbone pattern. The fitters were older guys who knew exactly what they were doing. They came on time, were very polite, very neat workers and did a brilliant job. They moved the furniture around as they laid it and at the end of the first day, when they had done about half the flooring, they put furniture back so we could eat tea and watch TV. Next day came back and finished off. Floor looks amazing.

We've bought both carpet and laminate flooring from Underfoot Flooring and had excellent service on all occasions. Friendly staff, good advice when visiting the showroom, no pressure sales, competitive prices, good turn around between order and installation, a professional install. We would certainly recommend this company.

Great team here - they re-carpeted our entire house, loft included. Very professional, quick and reasonably priced. Took great care in moving furniture, and a shout out to Harry for tackling our difficult stairs!

Good service and installation. They were amenable when I wanted a specific screed depth to accomodate toilet pans.

Tidy and cleaned up well after the installation. Had two planks with similar patterns next to each other and ones which weren't stuck down completely, which the fitters were more than happy to come back and attend to. Competitively priced quote.

John and his team at Underfoot flooring have carpeted and floored our whole house over many years....advice and service is excellent, costing, communication and final fitting all organised in a timely manner ..... all results have been superb in particular our latest Amtico herringbone floor in the lounge.... thank you all !

Recently replaced and existing tiled floor using Amtico tiles. From the initial consultation, through providing estimate after suggesting what might be best suited, on to the installation. Fitters extremely careful when moving appliances and old flooring. took great care with the new flooring and the reinstallation of the appliances.Recommend 100%
