I definitely recommend United Domains

This database can unfortunately be mined by third parties, leading to spam messages. We stress that any such third parties are absolutely not affiliated with United Domains.

I reserved a .app domain years ago. They recently sent me an email to confirm. I did and next day I had it. Was half expecting them not to honor the reservation -- it's been years -- or never contact me about it. But they did. Extremely smooth and professional.

I have been with United Domains for around 5 years now. Good service. But, the only option I wish United Domains had is an option for a free "to get you started" web site host starter. lol.. instant gratification. I have domains and nothing to do with them until I choose to host myself "a real pain" or choose a hosting company and fend off up-selling. PFft... [ Face palm ] ...
