We have complicated taxes. Two businesses, each operating both in France & the US. Plus, we've got two little kids so not a lot of time. That's why we feel so lucky to have John & the team at UTP in our corner. I will definitely be using them again next year! I’ve always done my own expat taxes but needed help navigating the UK dual taxation system and some additional forms. Both Josh and Laura were extremely responsive and professional and made the entire process very smooth. I am not sure why I ever did my own taxes before and am happy I’ve finally found an accountant who I trust. Laura even managed to get my taxes done well before the deadline and that lifted a huge weight for me!

This is my second time filing as an ex-pat, and I will definitely be using Univeral Tax Professionals again. They worked quickly, were responsive, and Josh and John answered any questions I had.

Today Universal Tax Professionals e-filed my 2022 1040-NR, my first with them. So far, so good. Of course it remains to be seen whether IRS accepts the tax and refund they computed, or how long that will take. My financial advisor reviewed and approved their return, and was pleased with how they worked with him. I was very pleased to work with Asher Zwebner, a seasoned American CPA who now lives in Israel, in the same time zone as me (a huge convenience). Last year, my 1040-NR was done by a large and cumbersome CPA firm in Texas which took almost a whole year to complete and file it on Dec. 15, the last possible moment. I'm still waiting on that refund. That firm required 5 different CPAs and over 20 times the fees I paid UTP. Unless I get bad news from IRS, I'm a very happy camper with Asher and UTP! It makes all the difference that they specialize in returns for expats and non-resident aliens.
