It’s such a lovely and peaceful stay. Loved the comfy bed next to the big window. The off-grid stay was really needed after some stressful times. Nearby Heidi there are few amazing National trust properties you could check out. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely trip away to Willow near Tunbridge Wells. The setting was beautiful, and the cabin very comfortable and well equipped including a good choice of books and decent knives/pans/etc. We locked our phones away the whole stay which was wonderful! We also used the map and compass to get to a local pub for lunch, we got completely lost on the way there but all part of the fun! Customer service was also great at all stages of booking.
We had a few issues which I understand are being looked at - the fridge froze all our food, and the “hot” water was just warm and temperamental. Neither spoilt the stay, but not ideal either. I’d recommend trying to limit what you take - there is a big drawer under the bed to store bags, but we still ended up having to move stuff around a lot depending on where we wanted to sit! I also wouldn’t advise taking a big dog - our medium sized dog and his bed took up half the floor space! Overall a really nice break away from modern life, would definitely recommend.

Monty cabin was exceptional. Much needed in our lives and would highly recommend to anyone.

Was a lovely break away from day to day life focusing on disconnecting and relaxing. The Bracken cabin had everything you need and all high quality from inside to out. Service from company themself was also very good with being to able to contact whenever needed 😊
Some issues with the muddy/slippy path to the cabin and some slips had all added to the experience but feel this may need to be made aware of more as is quite a walk to the cabin from the car park. (Alsi where firewood is stored so that was a mission) Also a leak under the sink but luckily no damage to personal items and the team are aware.
Overall tho really enjoyed and can’t wait to look at other cabins to try in the future.
Another Plus was also getting to take the little Pooch Rocky who had a lovely relaxing break for his birthday 🐾

The experience is truly the best! Roland cabin is magical, spacious and good location for exploring area around. We were very happy to lock our phones away and fully embrace experience of being present in a moment - all thanks to unplugged team that provided cabin with all neccessary items to get around the area (compas, map, camera, nokia, etc). The experience is amazing from the booking until you are back home. We were really sad to be leaving after 3 memorable nights and the cabin truly felt like home. We loved every second of it and for sure this will become our regular holidays! Thank you Unplugged!!! ❤️

Me and my partner had a lovely trip away, everything you could possibly need in one place in such a cute location! Perfect to ‘unplug’.

Wonderful experience, getting away from everything and reconnecting with my significant other. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We stayed at Luna and although the cabin was beautiful, the location was not ideal. From the pictures on the website it seems like the cabin is surrounded by greenery but in reality the cabin is basically surrounded by crops of corn which means you don’t have much room to roam. We did not appreciate not even being able to play fetch with our dog and having to keep them at a close distance at all times. We really wanted to run and play around but it was impossible because of the mud and the corn so we decided to cut our stay short and only slept there for one of the two nights we paid for. When I contacted customer service to get an explanation about the misleading pictures they used for marketing and potentially get a partial refund, I got told that the best they can do is offer a discount for a future stay and a promise to update the pictures to more accurate ones that reflect the position of the cabin. We will not have any future stays with Unplugged and 6 months later I checked the website for the “updated” pictures. They did indeed upload new pictures from inside the cabin, but none from the outside which means the website still depicts a misleading image. A great idea but the execution and customer service were not the best

From booking a stay to coming back home, the Unplugged team made sure that this was one of our most enjoyable experiences to wind down.
Booking was easy and straightforward and the guidelines were received instantly after, allowing us to plan our journey well ahead.
Coming from a world that heavily relies on technology, we felt scared to let go the day before arrival. As we arrived, all doubts vanished upon seeing the stunning and idyllic scenery and the cozy cabin.
The Unplugged team provided us with all the necessities needed to explore the area or just huddle up in the cabin. They even texted us to inform us of dropping temperatures during our stay, allowing us to prepare for thatevening and stay warm.
We loved the eco-awareness of their products and setup, which really shows that they care about the nature.
Simple, slow living is something that had a lasting effect, as we will strive to adopt it in our busy fast-paced lives.

I’d like to start this review by saying I haven’t actually stayed in the cabin yet BUT I feel their customer service team, particularly Jaze and Angelica need to be shouted out! I think the whole concept of Unplugged is great so booked for my partner, dog and I. Unfortunately we have had a family member become very unwell and is critically in hospital so locking away our phones for 4 days would be more stressful then detoxing. I contacted the customer support on the live chat feature on their website and Jaze was beyond helpful! I explained the situation and after some back and forth over email while I was working out the best option for us they were there to reply pretty much right away, they were really helpful with answering my questions, they clearly cared and were really compassionate about the situation. They gave me options on what I could do, offered a voucher of what I have paid to date to use at another time to take the stress off our family situation and sent their well wishes. I’m a huge believer that personal customer service like this should be celebrated as sadly, this is hard to find! Again huge thank you, we will book for a better time and are very much so looking forward to it!

The Unplugged team's support in the lead up to, and towards the end of, our stay with them was excellent. We needed to change our booking dates and the team was very accommodating. The weekend prior to our stay they contacted us to let us know the cabin we had originally booked had suffered storm damage and would not be ready in time, however they were able to quickly change our booking to the newer Griffin cabin the same locale without any hassle. There were some issues with the smoke/CO alarm toward the end of our stay, but Unplugged support was helpful, prompt and compassionate.
The area itself was absolutely beautiful, and my wife and I have made some lifelong memories sitting together by the fire and looking out over the hills and valleys of the Welsh countryside. The cabin was clean and well equipped. While the weather during most of our December stay was wet and windy, the warmth of the stove fire, the beauty of the scenery, and the lack of modern distractions meant this only added to the experience.
Nearby Llangollen is a beautiful village, and I highly recommend the short hike up to Castell Dinas Brân.

Very sad to report that I didn’t have a good experience after having such high hopes.
As with all holidays just the smallest of details can lead to the whole trip being disrupted and sadly there were two major problems with ‘Bracken’. Firstly, the lack of notice or clear signage for the parking spot led me to losing all light to unpack (and no real upfront notice of quite how much a walk it is from the car parking spot to the cabin) - cue tripping and muddying all my belongings in the darkness. Secondly, there were 2 gates not mentioned in the guide and a clear DO NOT TRESPASS sign. If you know land owners you know how horrible it feels to go against these signs. The second gate quite frankly was a health hazard. Held onto its hinges by twine, a massive 6 foot gate, it would sadly not be friendly for elderly or less able bodied to operate.
This wasn’t the end..
THE FLIES
It was an insane amount of flies for a sleeping cabin. Buzzing all day and all night. Waiting for you to eat or indeed sleep. I killed at least 20 each day. I felt like I was in my own personal hell.
Their team are lovely people but offer up no actual solutions. Just not set up properly in this location. Hoping I was unlucky.
Small side notes - toilet smelt bad (acceptable as it was a no flush but well worth a warning), certain areas around the bed were dirty and dusty, it was VERY loud in the wind (again acceptable given the location), the fridge was full of ice (presumably as you had to be careful to close it - I spent 2 hours defrosting it for something to do to take my mind off the fly invasion..)
To top it off they asked me to WhatsApp pictures of the flies… pretty sure that defeats the object of being unplugged?

We had a lovely long weekend at Pablo. The cabin was well equipped and thought out. We felt really incentivised to do a digital detox and have a slow weekend. There were lots of relevant books to read, games to play and the cabin was in a lovely area in nature. It was a short walk into Finchingfield - around 20 mins. Definitely buy food before you get there as the shop is only open 9-11am on Saturday and closed on Sunday. We went to a few cafes and restaurants which all had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely consider coming back.

The cabin and concept are cute however we had a lot of issues on this trip preventing us from “unplugging” and fully relaxing during our stay:
Our toilet did not work for the first 2 days - as we arrived late on Friday the help line was already closed by the time we used the toilet which meant we were essentially going to the loo in a bag which did not close (ie privacy screen was broken) … this really took away from any romantic element to the trip. On day 2, unplugged suggested a solution which involved removing the toilet seat and fixing the positioning of the toilet however at that point, we had already used the toilet a number of times and were too grossed out by the prospect of disassembling the toilet. We also realised we could manually close the blue “privacy screen” on the toilet so it didn’t warrant calling someone out to fix it (ie we did not want to be interrupted etc) but this was a really gross workaround. This meant that we had to go to the toilet in a hole and then close the hole with our hands for the first 2 days. On day 3 it started working properly as I think the positioning of the toilet moved. This should really be checked by the cleaner before leaving the property.
There are thick layers of dust all around the cabin. If people are spending a significant amount of time here, it should really be cleaner.
The most annoying part of the entire trip was the fact that unplugged mislead you into thinking this is a super accessible getaway to London without a car - it is not and had I known this, I would have drove. The only grocery store in town is only open for 2 hours on Saturday morning so by the time we walked into town, it was closed. The next closest shop is over an hour away walking - as we had no other option we decided to embark on the trip to this shop but there was no footpath to get there - the one path there is eventually cuts off on the side of a highway and you literally cannot walk as the cars are going 60+ mph and there is no side part on the road to move to when they pass. I suppose it’s good we only walked 1 hour to get to that point in the pouring rain because it turns out that this shop was closed too! The maps they give you are of no help either for walking as they are so zoomed out you can’t read them. I think it’s extremely dangerous that unplugged aren’t clearer on the situation for those without a car - walking back from the town after dinner means it is PITCH BLACK and you cannot see anything around you for the 23 minute walk - if I had been alone, I would have been terrified. The owner of the one pub even offered to drive us as she said that this was not a pleasant walk at night.
The situation meant that we had absolutely no options for buying groceries and had to eat out at one of the 3 places open in town for breakfast, lunch AND dinner - there is only one decent restaurant in the town and it only serves pizza - the rest of the shops are advertised as “fine pubs” but we literally saw them microwaving our food ….. we tried to order a cab one evening to go elsewhere and had no luck.
The path to the cabin is pitch black with no lighting and unplugged only tell you to get there during the day after you’ve made your booking, which again, made for a nice surprise almost falling into a pond!
They only supply firewood for the first night and you have to pay £20 if you want heating for your full stay (ie more wood).
Finally, the things they’ve provided in the cabins to enjoy your stay should come with instructions / be functioning - only one of the cassette tapes worked for us for some reason.
I am truly shocked that this was our experience having spent £500 on this stay (~£650 in total with cabs and train tickets - cabs are £30 from the station to the cabin). The whole point of the trip is to “unplug” which we really struggled to do having to text unplugged support everyday on the emergency Nokia for assistance.

Me and my partner had an amazing experience at Arwen. The location is beautiful and unique, but also having the town a few minutes away was nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at one of the Essex cabins - it was cozy, clean and had everything you need for a few nights. It was so refreshing to ‘unplug’ from the busy real life and just talk and read books all weekend! Would highly recommend.

beautiful location, very clean, well organised, and thought of everything!! Best nights sleep ever!!
Really enjoyed getting away from busy modern life. The cabin location was fantastic and it had everything we needed to cook meals and stay warm and cosy in autumn. Plenty of walks around where we stayed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The panoramic windows around it made you feel surrounded by nature.

The most beautiful location, absolutely nothing around for miles. The cabin faced the sunrise every morning which was a magical way to wake up. The compost toilet was daunting but was actually very clever and not an issue (I was picturing the boomtown toilets!)
Everything in the hut was great, comfortable bed, cooking was easy with the tools provided. Would recommend booking additional polaroid snaps too!
We had a mix up with towels on arrival as we were only given one, but this was easily fixed and resolved in under half an hour! Will definitely be rebooking - THANK YOU FOR A GREAT STAY!

From start to finish the team at Unplugged have been super responsive and helpful but not overly solicitous. The cabin outside Hemel Hempstead was the perfect getaway. Easy to reach from London and once I was there, there was no hint of the hustle and bustle.
