An honest opinion
Overall very helpful, easy to revise topics and insightful videos; nothing is perfect however.
I have maths and physics (Edexcel and OCR) as Up Learn courses. I find the videos very helpful a huge majority of the time and the idea of checking your understanding whilst watching the video. There has been several instances, however, where the answer you wrote would be marked correct by a professional teacher however is marked wrong because of the system. In addition some of the maths questions are just painful to answer and much of which is common knowledge but if skipped the same video keep playing continuously.
Despite all this, this does still allow me to do more revision of those subjects and I am very grateful that my school has provided us with it because it has shown me some very insightful methods and has helped me understand certain things much more as explained with a new method. Allows me to check my understanding of topics clearly with practice questions and has given me loads of very useful advice.

I do A level Biology on Uplearn and it is definitely the best resource i have found for A level biology. However it does not instantly give you an A star you still need to put in the work and it has definitely made my learning more efficient and i would definitely reccomend it especially if you struggle to remeber things like me.

Haven't done exams yet but I feel like I know what Im doing
Theres areas where I know I need to improve and those are the areas Im able to redo so very helpful. There are also exam questions and papers and past questions i got wrong so i can review them. Very useful

I have barely touched Uplearn
I have barely touched Uplearn. I use Uplearn for maths and I just started going back through it yesterday it feels like i skipped months worth of anki. I don't know if it is helpful or not. Should I be taking notes on lessons. It seems okay I guess, I mean I think you're better off with tutoring. I want to get a full refund back so badly though, because it just isn't right for me I think.

Uplearn chemistry and physics
Uplearn is such a life saver. I use it for chemistry and physics and it makes learning content so much easier than trying to understand it from a textbook and it also simplifies hard topics in a way that makes sense and it gives you a deeper understanding. Everything is in one place which makes revising less stressful. It might seem expensive but it's honestly such a good investment as you're investing in your education and it's overall cheaper than having a tutor for two years. I wouldn't rely on it entirely, and I still flip through the textbook or do some extra questions, but overall I would say 90% of my out of school revision, consolidation and learning happens on uplearn.
The tutors are also all really good and kind, however if you're still stuck on a topic or question don't hesitate to go out of uplearn for the answer. Lastly, plan to set aside a considerable chunk of time each week or day to do some uplearn as it does require a commitment. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Memorising made easy, for a price.
The science of learning has evolved greatly over the past decade. Nowhere is it more obvious than Uplearn. In this program it teaches you the science and logic of learning and memorisation and then uses this to take the wheel in teaching you everything you need to know for your subjects, and yes it has all of the exam boards.
The 5 min, bite sized format really helps for every second of time you have, and the repeated re-questioning of what you just learned embeds that knowledge deeply.
It's not all sunshine and rainbows. This is not a teacher replacement, having a teacher for exam technique is still critical, and some of the topics don't include one or two pieces of extra depth. The price, unless your school negotiates or dedicates funds for it, is insane. Even with a good deal from the company we paid £75 per subject for 2 years (A-Level) out of the student pocket. Without, it is closer to £400. Hence the 4 stars.
The statistics speak for themselves, my state school has the top 1% psychology grades up from just about average. Pretty insane. On top of this customer service responds within an hour 24/7. No bugs or issues yet.
Overall, I'm incredibly glad to have it but it is disconcerting how "pay to win" it is.
Edit: Uplearn has since replied and informed me that they offer free Uplearn enrolment for every full paid enrolment. This is a very good business model.

really amazing i learn best from videos though not notes or flashcards so if your the type to learn through interactive videos then definitely consider uplearn. seriously, i can literally see all the concepts happening which makes it easier to know. really clever idea of having your knowledge score decrease over time if you havent revisited areas. bit pricey though.

We totally get that being asked questions upfront can feel a bit tricky, especially when you're still getting to grips with the topic. The idea is to get those brain cogs turning.
But also, did you know that with pre-video quizzes, if you answer all the questions correctly you are able to skip the video. The video will be ticked off and you will also gain Up Score.

Absolutely love this as a consolidation of knowledge, I use this for A level economics. I didn't take economics at GCSE which is why in class I feel unprepared as I am in year 12 and since it is early on in the year, most of the topics we have done have been briefly discussed in GCSE previously. UpLearn has made me feel confident in my understanding of topics and is great to consolidate for my knowledge. At the start of the year I got an average of 45-50% in my first exams, I got a test back for macro economics recently where I hadn't really had time to revise for due to external issues and I got 70%! The only revision I would have really done was the previous consolidation of knowledge I had done with UpLearn's resources. 100% would recommend.

Great for learning. Videos can feel a bit repetitive. Questions can be extremely specific on what answer they require which can be annoying when you have to the correct answer but it is still marked as wrong

Only good for remembering content
The questions are way too easy and are not Hard or exam style. It is only good for saving time from making flashcards, so you can use it for keeping content fresh in your mind.
The explanations from wrong questions in quizzes dont make too sense. It needs more content linked to it.
