I avoid using UPS at all costs

I avoid using UPS at all costs. I have rarely had a package delivered by UPS on time and it's always a huge hassle to figure out what happened to my delivery. You never know when a package will be delivered or if it will be delivered. This time I ordered a TV from Costco without knowing that they use UPS. Had I known they use UPS, I would have never bought the TV. I worked from home today since the TV was at my local sorting facility and scheduled to be delivered today. Upon checking the status of the delivery (UPS did not notify me, even though I signed up for notifications) apparently there is an "issue" with the delivery and now UPS does not know when they can deliver the 55" TV. UPS has now told me that they might be able to deliver it tomorrow or possibly the next day... but they really don't know. Is this the UPS business model? "We'll deliver your package, but we really have no idea when we'll be able to do it". I've had multiple experiences like this with UPS. It's extremely frustrating and a waste of my time.

I don’t think I would even give UPS ONE star!!! I sent a package from an eBay sale and got a message it was damaged and discarded. EBay said I have to go through UPS and UPS has given me the fricken runaround for weeks!!! I have recorded a few of my phone calls that go on for over 30 minutes with ‘please hold’ and no action! It is the WORST!!!!!!!!!!! Any solution! NONE! Today I was given an email address to hope for help! VERY POOR business model!

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely horrible, bordering on sheer incompetence of a logistics company. Guaranteed delivery date came and went, with no updates via text nor email. After speaking to no fewer than 8 different customer service reps and being told 8 differing excuses, none of which answered any of my concerns, and then a phone call from the most unprofessional UPS employee (supervisor)? at one of the warehouses that my package was supposed to be at. They first told me it was there, then it wasn't there, then it was on the truck for delivery but they couldn't deliver because of a weather emergency in my city, well..it was sunny and -2c with bluebird skies. The supervisor kept interrupting me as I tried to explain the situation, so much, that I literally had to tell them to stop talking when I'm answering your question. They are a complete circus to deal with, and sadly it reflects badly on the retailers that use them for online orders. For a logistics company, they are an incredibly sad example of how not to run a courier business. Filing a formal complaint is useless, as they are all the same at this organization.
I will never deal with them again, I will if need be pay extra for any other logistics service.
Still waiting on my delivery by the way.

UPS just changes the delivery date

As always UPS was not on time with my delivery. I really don't know why companies like Amazon continue to use this company. Maybe they are better in the US but they are sure terrible here in Canada. Nothing but excuses as to why the delivery didn't happen on the scheduled date. Then they turn around and blame everyone else like Amazon's shipping platform. Everyone but themselves. They just reschedule your delivery no consideration as to how important the purchase may be. They make you feel like you work for them. Enough is enough I'd give them no stars if I was allowed to. This happened this week and cost me a rather expensive computer build because they missed the delivery date Amazon had given me.

This package (1Z2980R8D930592882) was shipped for overnight delivery on November 24, 2025. Driver claimed attempted delivery at 17:09 on the November 25. The recipient was home and waiting but the driver lied and did not try to deliver the package. I called UPS and was told the package would be delivered the next day. That also didn't occur. I called again that day at 20:45 as and was told it would be delivered on November 27. I declined as it was impossible to trust UPS anymore so I arranged for the recipient to pick it up from the depot the next morning. As I paid for an overnight shipment a full refund is only reasonable. UPS refused a refund. Terrible. Don't use them.

Always late, always damaged.

I really hope this company goes bankrupt over the years. At least if they were ''trying'' not at all, poor management, poor direction.

bad updates and SUPER SLOW

ordered a 3,000$ piece of equipment, only half was delivered, and the main package was left/forgotten in the warehouse, its been 2 days, and still no updates. no i am left without my machine to fulfill my clients request. the first 2 pieces were delivered, and left on my front porch where there there is no path leading to it, although there is a note on the Door Stating" all Deliveries must be left at back door" the drivers ignored this, and package was left in the rain for 4 hours.

I will never again order anything that uses UPS

I will never again order anything that uses ups delivery. Last 5 deliveries. 3 that stated "could not be delivered". Even though someone was home the entire day. One where delivery was left outside apt building door(not the door with buzzer system even though precise instructions as to which door had buzzer system) but opposite seldom used and no notification it was dropped outside during heavy rains. One where two boxes were involved. One actually delivered, other taken to a different address two blocks away.

UPS Ruined Our Wedding Plans

I am extremely disappointed with UPS Canada. My wife’s wedding dress was shipped for our wedding next week, and UPS lost the package. We spent days in stress and anxiety, raising a claim, following up constantly, and hoping the dress would be found. In the end, they confirmed it was lost.

This situation caused a disaster for us. With the wedding only days away, there is no dress, and ordering a new one will take at least a month. The emotional damage, stress, and disruption to our wedding preparation have been unbearable for me, my wife, and our families.

A company of this size should not lose a wedding dress and then provide such an inadequate response. This has been one of the most stressful experiences of our lives, and I will never trust UPS with an important shipment again.

False Updates

We've had 3 separate orders (in the last 10 days) from different vendors who all use UPS - each shipment all had false updates of attempted delivery. We combed through our security footage and there were no attempts of delivery. One package was delivered to the incorrect address - 10 day waiting period for claim to be reviewed. 2nd package was damage and is being resent to sender. 3rd package we're still waiting to receive - even though they supposedly attempted to delivery it twice.

„Uncontrollable events” delayed multiple deliveries.

Global logistics company with very disappointing level of service. Compared to other shipping services level of customer satisfaction for me always ends up in negative territory. Multiple rescheduling of delivery times, item delivery status not updated for more than 4 sometimes 5 days ( in transit ) and that is just for domestic shipping. No one to contact to get the update what is happening ( uncontrollable events and other vague excuses are common vocabulary words that are being used).
I had positive experiences with UPS 10 years ago and never since. Recently all experiences are negative.

My package was sent across Canada for…

My package was sent across Canada for no reason other than a mistake made by UPS. I live in BC, my order came from BC, but for some reason, it was incorrectly sorted and sent to Quebec. I will never use UPS ever again. Terrible customer service; it seems no one I have tried speaking to (I've called over 5 times) has been able to offer me a solution to rectify their mistake, other than telling me to keep waiting, when my package was supposed to arrive over a week ago.

I have zero idea why companies pick UPS…

I have zero idea why companies pick UPS for deliveries. After I ordered, I received 3 different delivery dates. How does UPS expect the customer to be home when a false time for delivery is given. On the 1st email, it said "delivery tomorrow, (7 Nov)" and right below it, delivery Monday 10 Nov. The next email said 11 Nov. And then another email later said 10 Nov. So on the 7th of Nov, I came home and found a note in my front door that the driver tried to deliver my package and they would try again on the next Business day, 10 Nov.
So unorganized.
How about you pick a date and stick to it.

Run don't walk AWAY from UPS

If you have other shipping options, use them. Quite honestly the WORST courier company I have ever had to deal with. Of the three parcels sent via UPS these last five years, two have gone missing. The latest debacle had them attempt to make a delivery to our home & then the parcel vanished at the Richmond, B.C. depot. Approx 20 phone calls to the support line and no actual assistance given. The CSRs promise the depot manager would ring us back multiple times to help start a trace. Did this happen - no! Our shipper is now getting the run around as they try to open a claim for us. I deal with DHL & FedEx for my work & have never experienced this. I am sure they are some staff doing a good job but they are in the minority.

The most ridiculous delivery service in the history of the delivery services ever, period. Even the customer service agents can’t comprehend simple delivery instructions and most of them picking up the phone doesn’t even understand simple English in my opinion. I cringe whenever I see the UPS logo

I cringe whenever I see the UPS logo. 99% of my dealings with them are poor. I feel sorry for the customer service people. Imo it's the lazy drivers causing the majority of the issues. They don't even come to the building I live in, and lie saying that no one was available. In the past two weeks I've had to call them 6 times, to no avail. The parcel was supposedly taken to a pick-up point, but they can't find it after two days of searching. UPS is of no help at all. They have no idea where the parcel is. So now the merchant that sent me the parcel is initiating an investigation. Their merchandise is high-end and they want to get compensated for the missing parcel, since they have very graciously sent me another parcel at no cost to me. UPS sucks!

HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS ON CALLS AND WEEKLY EMAILS FIGHTING THIS WITH ZERO RESPONSE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!
