Very disappointed with UPS service. My package was marked as delivered, but I never received it.

Pure Incompetence: UPS is a Ghost Service
If I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with UPS has been an absolute nightmare of lies and "phantom" deliveries. Here is why you should avoid them at all costs:
The "Invisible" Driver: I’ve been home for multiple delivery attempts, yet they claim I wasn't there. No knock, no doorbell, and zero effort to call or text me. It’s like they’re playing hide-and-seek with my property.
Broken Promises: They scheduled a third attempt for last Friday. I waited around all day like a fool, and they just never showed up. No update, no explanation.
Zero Communication: I’ve received no emails and no phone calls. The only thing they can seem to deliver is a "final notice" slip under my door while I’m at work, threatening to ship my expensive package back to the sender.
Customer Service is a Myth: getting a human being on the phone is impossible.
I paid a premium for shipping, and instead, I’m being gaslit by a delivery company that refuses to do its one job. job. My paxkage is now being sent back because UPS is too lazy to actually knock on a door. Unacceptable.

One of the worst customer service experience with this company. The people handling customer service are very incompetent or very ill trained. They make misleading statements, make false promises, no help is offered just to get you off call. No ownership. Their delivery guys are another level of lairs. My wife was home all day yet the delivery driver put a note stating failed delivery attempt when no one even came to our house in first place. I called customer service, agent says will escalate to logistics team and someone will definitely call back within 2 hours, no one did and guess what their phone robot system says they are now closed while their agent said they work until 8. I attempted calling before 7pm.Liars cheaters. I had a part ordered for car which I needed by today anyhow my NCT is booked for tomorrow who will compensate me for my lost fee, time and so much headache.
I will make sure to explicitly request all online shops to use other delivery provider when sending goods to me other then UPS. I buy very often online but never had such an experience else where what a shame.

People work so UPS hove no note pad for you to tell them to leave it be it next door or somewhere safe. The on line system is backward? They do not give you an option for what you want. I found ups very frustrating 😕 update. 18/02/2026 UPS came back to me they were very polite sorted out the issue. The customer support guy was top notch. Thank you UPS.

Terrible service, the tracking information is completly useless because is not true

Reply from UPS Ireland
Tracking stopped in a depot 30 mins from the delivery address, 3 days later: no one knows where the packages are. Everything else has been already said in the other reviews. Scammers, liars and incompetents all of them over here. Stay away and let the shops working with them know what services UPS provides.

I received an email stating that the package was delivered, however it had not been. I contacted them and they said it was definitely delivered to the correct address and signed for.
I explained that I was at the house the entire time and it had not been delivered here. They kept insisting it was, that the address was correct and that it was signed for. When pushed as to who signed for the package, I was told the recipient had just signed the letter R.
They were refusing to check, said they could not contact the driver and as far as they were concerned it was delivered.
I checked with my neighbours on one side, who had received nothing. I then tried the empty house on the other side. The package was on the doorstep of an empty house. There is no possible way for anyone to have signed for it as nobody is living there (the door is at the end of a long drive).
UPS are not reliable, blatantly lie, and refuse to provide any proof of delivery.
Terrible service.

Kudos to Laura from Customer Service Ireland.
The UPS Customer Care Representative gave special attention to my package. As I am getting married in a few days, the misunderstanding regarding my package being lost in the UK led me to contact UPS support. Unfortunately, the customer service from India did not communicate clearly and did not offer any real assistance. On the contrary, they advised us to return the package to Mexico, which they could not even pronounce or spell properly.
Thankfully, Laura took over the case and resolved the situation.

Awful!!! Nearly two weeks to deliver a package at my door..keep saying that are "trying" to gain access to the place and yet nobody ring the bell!! I have someone at home constantly and yet a delivery driver cannot f**cking enter the building?!... not even being able to just phone my number or to ring the bell of the other 20 people living in the same place!! I gave instructions to leave the package in the mail room...the worst company.. through the app there are all the steps to reach me but nobody is trying to do so.. still after 4 attemps on not being able to enter the premises , nobody and I repeat nobody it's reaching me!!

I gave one star to UPS because sadly there isn’t an option for -10 stars! Four times my parcel was out for delivery and four times it was brought back to the depot. Nobody from UPS called me they just threw it on and off a truck for a week. And as for the customer service let’s just say totally untrained even the manager ! I would never order from a company again that uses UPS.. all I can say is avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Once again… UPS has caused issues. Marking my packages as delivered when it’s not. Now I’ve waited a week before saying anything but CHRIST worst delivery service ever..
I’ve only processed two packages with UPS this year and both have failed to deliver leading to unacceptable waste of my time, contacting the seller for refunds and ofcourse leaving wonderful reviews like this one…

If I could give 0 stars I would. What a joke. Parcel supposed to arrive last Friday, then updated to Today. Got an email last night it's been delivered at 20.01pm. Off I toddled out to pick it up. Guess what nothing, nothing with the neighbours either. Nothing on my security camera. In short lies. Called today and lady on phone says tracking number shows it's delivered..... well why am I calling you if it was ...... It's wasn't delivered! and this is the 3rd time I've had this issue in 12 months with UPS. Absolutely woeful, avoid at all costs. Will pay extra to avoid in future .

This has been an extremely disappointing experience. The package was supposed to be delivered last Friday, but without warning, the status changed from “out for delivery” to: “The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible. The package is in a secure facility pending clearance or resolution.”
What makes this even more frustrating is that I paid extra for this service specifically expecting faster delivery, yet that clearly has not happened. Additionally, the import fees for the package were paid early, so there should not be any unexpected delays related to customs charges.
Calling customer service provided no useful information. The only response I received was that they would “escalate the matter and contact me,” which feels like a generic script rather than any real explanation or solution.

Extremely Disappointed with UPS OOHPOD Service
Update 04.02.2026: received response from Customer Service representative Connor. UPS are saying there's nothing to collect. OOHPod are saying they have advised the driver that the package is ready to collect. This is going on since 23 Jan. OOHPod is a partner of UPS. Can someone please contact Shauneen in OOHPod and sort this out.
Update 04.02.2026: message sent to Raja and awaiting reply
I attempted to return a high-value parcel to Spain through UPS using their OOHPOD service. My package has been sitting in the locker since 23 January, despite receiving daily assurances that the issue would be resolved. As of 3 February, my parcel remains uncollected.
Throughout the past week, I’ve been repeatedly promised a swift resolution, but these promises have been empty. Not only am I now going to miss the required delivery date, but I have also wasted significant time and effort.
This has been a very frustrating experience, and if I could, I would give UPS zero stars.

Absolutely the worst ever courier. Virginia Cavan depot is joke, their driver didn’t collect the packages 3 days from Carrickmacross, than he collected Friday afternoon after I spent 30 min talking with Dublin office and believe or no he brought the packages inside Virginia depot Monday morning. Amateurs, I don’t know how they still operate. Paid service for 2-4 days delivery €65, now 8 days nobody knows where is the package .
Avoid this courier

I chose UPS over other carriers because it was advertised as the quicker option. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake.
My parcel was delayed on the delivery day, and UPS claimed it was because the receiver name was not listed and the address could not be confirmed. However, the full address and Eircode were already on the tracking information from the beginning, which I personally verified when I first tracked the shipment.
After I replied immediately with the full address and Eircode again, I received no further response from the UPS agent (Ram), and the tracking information later showed a reduced and incomplete address, which only added to the confusion.
The parcel was meant to be a birthday present, and the lack of urgency, accountability, and follow-up from UPS caused unnecessary stress and delay. I would expect this level of service from a budget courier, not from UPS.
Very disappointing experience, and I will think twice before choosing UPS again.
Update: Connor responded publicly on Trustpilot asking me to email the UPS UK & IE team with my details and a case number — but he never contacted me again after that. I emailed immediately and received no reply whatsoever.
Monday was a bank holiday in Ireland, so the next contact I received was on Tuesday, when Ram emailed to confirm that my address and Eircode had been reviewed, verified, and communicated directly to the driver. I was explicitly assured that the parcel would be delivered by end of day. That assurance was not kept.
What is most striking is not just the delay, but the complete absence of ownership. Public responses appear to be made for optics, private emails go unanswered, and even written delivery confirmations seem to carry no weight. Communication between UPS representatives is clearly fragmented, leaving the customer to chase basic follow-through.
At this point, UPS’s service honestly reminds me of Fastway in its better days — disorganised, unreliable, and reactive rather than accountable. This is deeply disappointing from a company that presents itself as a premium courier.
If this update is visible to UPS management and still does not prompt action, it speaks volumes about how customer issues are handled.
A straightforward delivery should not require days of chasing, repeated confirmations, and escalation just to get answers — let alone the parcel itself.

Absolutely shocking! Pay for delivery and have to collect it from the depot. No attempted delivery - constantly the same thing - scam of a company charging people delivery and not providing the service!

If I had been able to select any other shipper than UPS I would have done so, as I have long known that they provide substandard service in Ireland. Unfortunately it was the only shipping option available to the sender.
UPS marked my parcel as ‘Out for Delivery’ every day for the first two weeks, only to bump it to the next day each evening. No delivery attempts were made. I phoned customer service multiple times, was told repeatedly that the issue was ‘escalated’ and that someone would call me, but no one ever did.
The sender filed a missing parcel claim and has also heard nothing. Tracking then changed to ‘Delayed,’ then back to ‘Out for Delivery,’ and eventually to ‘Delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.’ I later received an ‘exception’ notice claiming a recipient delivery address change that I never requested.
There has been no communication from the Dublin depot, no callback, and no explanation. I escalated to regional management by email and received no response, acknowledgment, or commitment to help resolve. This has been three weeks of wasted time, misleading updates, and what feels like gaslighting about the parcel’s status. I have screenshots and emails showing the constant tracking changes.
Absolutely unacceptable service and UPS customer support is so utterly broken it seems they have deliberately designed it to punish customers.

Reply from UPS Ireland
Routinely says delivery will be today and fail to show up. The tracking offers the ability to sign up for "Out for delivery" notifications which do not arrive. Customer service is an automated voice recognition robo call line before you can get through to a human. Hands down the worst delivery company out there, avoid at all costs.
