Very disappointed with UPS service. My package was marked as delivered, but I never received it.

Tried to courier my new passport from Ireland to another country as the passport office would have taken too long to deliver. I paid for UPS express with a two day deliver estimate. I rang UPS and they said if I drop the package to the access point prior to 4pm then it will DEFINITELY be collected that day, so I made sure to drop it off in good time. I rang again when it wasn't picked up and they assured me it will definitely be picked up, guaranteed. Passport was picked up the following day, I still had hope. That day I had a notification saying it was on the way with a delivery date as I had booked it, hurray. The next day (the day before I am scheduled to travel) I am following the updates, checking to see when it is out for delivery. I received an update saying it was delayed slightly. I rang them. They say it has not reached Dublin airport yet and is due to arrive at the destination in 3 to 5 days. Currently I'm telling my work to cancel my flights and accommodation. Thanks UPS for the reliable service.
I made sure all calls are recorded, so any UPS person reading, feel free to listen back to the calls guaranteeing the pick up of my package.
Edit - if you can tell me how to request a refund for this service that would be great, thanks.

Ordered in Wayfair with delivery date of 16/01 - unfortunately via UPS. Delivery delayed due to "wrong address" in the tracking so I contacted UPS and Wayfair to sort this out as address was correct from my end, I figured it could have been wayfair's mistake. Spoke with agent on both ends and I was assured it will be sorted. Still not received the parcel, tracking still shows address incorrect. I have not received a call from the driver to confirm address. I instructed both agents when I spoke with them to deliver to access point instead to make it easier if they cannot find my address but still the same. Very frustrating. Avoid!

An expected delivery today was not delivered by UPS. Possibly the worst available courier service in Ireland. I would never select them given a choice.
The customer support functions are all AI now and very unhelpful for tracking information.
The phone service is equally as unhelpful. After dialling through many options I finally got an agent.
The drivers reason given was the manufacturing plant was closed. This was a blatant lie. The plant is open from 9-5. No van was seen entering the plant.
Terrible customer service between lazy AI and a driver that did not attempt to make the delivery

The worst delivery company I have ever dealt with. Package is a week late. They have a live Web chat that is absolutely useless and when you ring the contact number they give you it's just an automated response system which is again absolutely useless

Avoid UPS if you have any other choice. My experience has been a masterclass in incompetence:
Day 1: Package arrived in the country. I paid all duties/taxes immediately upon notification. I have a receipt to prove this and my tracking also states that import fees have been paid.
Day 2: A UPS van pulled up to my house, stayed for about 20 seconds without the driver exiting, and drove off (I have time stamped CCTV of this). The tracking was immediately updated to "Delivery refused, customer would not pay COD." This was a blatant lie; no contact was made, and the duties were already paid. Customer support promised a re delivery that never happened.
(weekend between day 2 and 3)
Day 3: At 5:15 AM, the tracking updated to "Final delivery attempted, customer refused." This is physically impossible. I went through the CCTV logs, UPS had not been back at any stage.
The "Support" Experience: When I contacted CS, the agent acknowledged that my duties were paid, but then immediately stated the package wouldn't be delivered until duties were paid. She was stuck in a loop, unable to process the fact that their system showed the payment she was asking for. I asked to escalate, she said she could not.
I currently have no idea where my package is, or if it will be delivered. I stated that I would go and collect that package from a depot. CS told me I could not do that either.
I will be blacklisting any supplier that insists on using UPS in the future.

As per all the other reviews absolute joke of a company.
Delivered my parcel to a self service box and still haven't issued a code to open it after 4 weeks. Latest from UPS is that it's the senders fault.

I changed a delivery date online which Wineonline had messed up. UPS confirmed that this had been done but delivered on the wrong date regardless. They are well deserving of their poor satisfaction rating.

Shocking service avoid at all costs.
I ordered a phone the 7th of January from an Irish Company. On the 9th I was notified that a failed delivery attempt had been made which wasn’t true as I was home and the driver drove in and drove straight away, on the 10th another failed attempt was made by the driver driving to a farm yard and trying to deliver it there and finally today the driver drove in and drove out and now my package is being send back to sender. Not once did I receive a phone call or text message to say they were either here or going to deliver it, I had requested through multiple emails to leave without signature and I requested it was okay to leave at the farm. After continuous emails in which they spoke to me in German my package still hadn’t been delivered and it’s been over a week since they “started” delivering it . This has brought significant distress and I feel like they just ignored all my requests so if possible stay away from this company as they are just a waste of time.

Of course they are unpresentable, liars and thieves.
My order was supposed to arrive on Monday the 12th and has been in the Finglas warehouse since that same day. A week and counting towards two weeks of delay.
I contacted the retailer up to five times, and they always pushed back to UPS, providing all the delivery details, but they still haven't done their job.
The UPS telephone agent (after calling them four days in a row asking them to please escalate the case) told me today that UPS would definitely call me today to deliver my order, as this situation is unbearable.
Obviously, she lied to me and no one called me (just like the other days). I will personally file an official complaint against them in Ireland, and obviously, you can be sure that I will use my social media with over 80K followers so that no one else falls for this scam.
Will tell aswell some companies that they work with them to definitely switch to a professional service instead of this thieves.

Absolute liars.
Expecting a package, should have been today. Check tracking and it has exemption (when doesn’t it with ups) for wrong address.
Right address given to seller, contacted seller by email while waiting for reply rang ups.
UPS Indian customer service rep who I could barely understand he was speaking so fast, eventually got out of him that seller gave wrong address and said address I said was wrong and to contact seller to change.
Seller gets back to me saying they gave right address and that ups told them they sometimes change status to wrong address just because they are delayed/late delivery.
So they are crap courier but even worse now they are lying to everyone.
The poor seller I nearly killed as ups stitched them up to be liars.
Only liars are ups. I have always had bad experiences with you everytime a store used you.
I will make sure never to use anybody who uses you again.
Not on to do that crap.
Now waiting extra day for delivery and still by now 2pm no update.
Send me a private message for my tracking so, I’m not putting public details on this review.
Even so you refused to help me over the phone after 30 minutes waiting to talk to someone. You err very unhelpful and abrupt, terrible customer service.

NO contact at all. Go through the purchase site to track. Get SMS links to ups page but WHERE IS MY PHONE?? Used the same No Access code excuse last year but nobody called me or contacted me. How are you even still in business? I can't even copy the tracking number, I end up on the site. Your order is on its way to Dublin 8 - 32477162574 Gomobi.Sender.

Parcel delivered to wrong address approximately 30 kilometres from where I live . Very difficult to contact UPS but having persisted got through to their call centre and was assured their technical team would contact me within 24 hours . This of course didn’t happen and having contacted them again on 3 more occasions I’m still waiting for a response. This all occurred on 18/12/2025 . Actually 1 star is too much .

My parcel was identified as delivered but it wasn't. I ended up on a 'computer' says no loop! The chat is not helpful. When you ring you get a AI voice doing the exact same thing as a the chat. Then when you ask AI for a human, you get robotic response from what sounds like a person. You're left with the sense that you have just spoken into the void and engaged in a pointless exercise!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Countless problems with deliveries not arriving. And this time when they do manage to deliver the package it’s open and left hanging from my front gate in the rain. I’d honestly choose any other courier than UPS

Delivery happened ok - just not to anywhere near me. Sent me a picture of a front door with the item on the doorstep. It would be useful to know where that door actually is.
Disaster - and the stupid automated AI interface on the phone system is as bad.
Why don't UPS just use Eircodes? Surely that's logical. Or if not, at least provide location details in photo metadata.

My parcel was apparently out for delivery 3days ago, but it never arrived and when i checked tracking it said "address information required" despite my address and eircode being correct. There is nowhere on the tracking website to submit this info and chatlines are closed in the evening after waiting all day for it to be delivered. I called the helpline the next day which has an awful AI bot that makes it near-impossible to get through to a human agent, but I eventually did get through to someone after about 6 calls. The person confirmed my address info and said that the parcel would be delivered the next day, however that night i got another email again saying "address info required". Again i will have to wait until the next morning to call. Absolutely useless postage service, the address was correct the very first time, we called to confirm it was correct, and now the parcel is delayed even longer for no reason. I'm going to try call again tomorrow as I am afraid that UPS will just return to sender even though my address is correct, they just haven't bothered to try deliver. Clearly UPS have no business operating in Ireland if they cant make sense of Irish addresses and eircodes.

That is unacceptable. UPS reported three “failed delivery attempts” by email, yet our CCTV shows no courier came to our property even for a second. Today I stayed home all day, watching the window and checking CCTV, and still nobody arrived, but UPS again marked it as a failed attempt.
This is not a mistake, it is repeated misinformation. We lost time, took a day off work, and were constantly misled by tracking updates that don’t match reality. Extremely poor service and zero transparency.
