Stay very far away from Upway

Upway sold me a damaged and dangerous bike and after 4 months of back and forth were unable to rectify the issue. Without a doubt the worst customer service I've experienced.

First time ebike rider and purchaser

This the first time buying and using an ebike (30-40 years riding but now 67 ) and the there no instructions re gears, charging, etc. The online manual and online videos were confusing and pretty useless. Got help from my local bikeshop and after a 45 minute in-person "tutorial" all questions answered and demonstrated. The purchase, delivery and setup were incredibly easy. Give the whole experience an A minus and minus due to the lack of useful instruction manual.

I purchased 2 bikes from upway

I purchased 2 bikes from upway. Delivery was great and the quality of the bikes has been great. Unfortunately one of my bikes is now not switching gears like it should which is very disappointing.

Not good quality services

- Bike late delivery with no proactive info coming from the customer services. I had to ask.
- locker ordered at the same time as the bike: the lock arrived 2 days after the bike. No info coming from the customer services neither. I had to ask.
- when the bike arrived, it was without any box, so no protection during transportation vs what is written on the website.
- the tools to make the bike usable were not the correct size. I had to use mine.

- impossible to call someone from customer service: the communication is only by email. When someone finally called me and I missed the call, I tried to call back but I got no responses.

Given the price of the bike, the delivery and the accessories, I was expecting a issueless experience. Before my own experience, I only heard great feedback on Upwqy but clearly, mine was unacceptable.

I got reimbursed for the delivery, but the amount is ridiculous compared to the overall price

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Sent me a bike that was full of mud and the disc brakes broken. They didn't even try and make it right. I sent them their bike back and will never recommend them.

The response from Upway below is generic and I promise you, their customer is very dismissive and accusational.

Thumbs up with Upway!

Was in the market for an e bike. Did a lot of research and came across Upway. They had the brand and model that I was looking for at a very good price. It was almost a brand new bike with 17 miles on it. Made a few calls to Upway and spoke to some real knowledgeable and friendly folks. Made my decision and bought the bike online and received it in 2 days. The bike was in excellent condition. Could not have been more than happy purchasing my bike from Upway. I highly recommend them and have told a lot of my friends to go with Upway if they are in the market for an e bike. A very positive experience!

Great service, great deals on the bikes

I made a mistake with the first bike I bought; it was so large that it was impossible to mount. However, Upway’s customer service was very helpful in assisting me with the return. Nonetheless, it was an expensive mistake on my part, costing me €120 in delivery and return fees.
​For my second order, I chose the same bike but in a smaller size. I picked it up directly from their warehouse and was very happy with it. The fit is perfect, and the bike is brand new with nothing wrong with it. I should add that I got a fantastic deal—the bike retails for €4,200, but I got it for only €2,000. I definitely recommend buying from Upway without hesitation!

Mostly good

Mostly good. There were a number of inconsistencies with the detailed specs of the listing and with the listed fees, some missing pieces in the shipment (pedal wrench), and some work that the bike still needed after delivery. Upway was agreeable and supportive in getting all of these issues resolved, and at the end of it all I have a great ebike.

Total scam

Total scam. They don't account for accessories that go with the bike and the offer they gave me for an expensive bike was insulting! Don't waste your time or money on these guys, they trying to get you to pay their rent in California.

The bike is perfect

The bike is perfectly working and I am very satisfied with it. The instructions on how to mount it and take care of it were very clear. The delivery was delayed but nothing too bad. I really suggest buying a second hand bike here!

A great bike dealer

I was hoping to buy a Pedego Element in red for several years. When the time finally came, I found that they were not available in any color, except a platinum edition. Pedego had also closed many of their dealerships, including the one I had been to.
While searching for the value of my old bike (selling to a friend), I checked out the Upway website. Not only did they have the bike I wanted, but a dealer had also installed whitewall street tires ($100 value) on it. I checked it out and decided that even with shipping, it was a pretty good deal.
The bike arrived in three days, well packaged and intact. Ordered Tuesday, delivered Friday. It’s condition was exactly as described down to every minor nick in the paint. They had said this was a dealer sale with less than three miles; it was .3 miles. I got a brand-new bike with upgrades and even after tax and shipping, it was $700 less than a new bike from a Pedego dealer.
I called Upway to ask for a link to write a good review. I hate reviewing things, but this experience was great. When my wife is ready to upgrade her ride, Upway is the first place I will look.

The bike I bought had a frame too high for me. UPWAY did take it back, no questions. The credit was immediate after they recieved thé bike. Top service.
