I was called and they pushed to enter a contract. I was unaware but I was on an auto renew with my last company and could not end the contract so Utility bidder said I owe them a £750 fine as I was in breach of their contract. We are a small buisness and use around £300 PA for our electric, so I see this to be unfair.
This fine has since been reduced to £120 with VAT which is still a lot for a small buisness. We have been left in a possition that I have to pay. My advide is to check before you enter into a contract so you are not in the same situation.

Our dealings with Stuart from start to finish were professional, informative and prompt. He explained everything very clearly and the savings were impressive.
He answered all of our questions and pro-actively followed up but without and pressure

I have been with Utility bidder for a number of years now. The service has been exceptional especially from George Ogilvie. He is a pleasure to work with and is always available to help and advise. My deal is competitive too. Thanks George, I really appreciate your hard work.

Most particularly, the experience was reasonably unpressurised to proceed with a deal and Bradley was responsive to questions put to him. He didn't bombard me with hastening emails until I was ready to proceed.

Clear and concise advice - even recommended I stay with present supplier as a good deal.

I completed an online enquiry form and within 5 minutes David Grimshaw called me, discussed what my business was looking for and found me the best deal available, the whole process was done in 20 minutes. I would highly recommend.

Until I spoke to David at Utility Bidder. I was not aware of all the changes in non-commodity costs which are coming this year.
The documents, which were sent to me, were very useful and gave me a much better understanding of what is going to happen.
As a result, I have fixed for 3 years and feel very pleased with the decision I have made.

Working with Chun has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. He made the entire process smooth and easy, even resolving a few unexpected issues quickly, which saved me a lot of time and hassle.
As a first time user of a broker, I was initially hesitant, but Chun took the time to clearly explain all my options. He made everything easy to understand and helped me secure the best possible rates without any pressure or confusion.
He consistently went above and beyond and has kept me updated, managing expectations, and ensuring I felt confident in every decision, even when delays from my previous provider caused complications.
I’ll definitely continue working with Chun in the future.

In 2022, our company engaged Utility Bidder and entered into an energy contract scheduled to end in February 2026. In June 2025, we unexpectedly lost our premises and were required to relocate within a week. Due to the urgency of the move, we attempted to cancel our utility accounts promptly. We were unable to transfer our energy contract because our new location is a serviced building.
When cancelling our British Gas Lite account, we were informed that no further action was required. As Utility Bidder acts solely as a broker and there is no direct communication between the broker and the supplier, small businesses are often left exposed when such information is not properly shared. This is what occurred in our case.
We were advised at the end of June 2025 that everything on our account was settled. However, we have now received notice—several months later—stating that we owe £4,000 on the basis that we failed to notify Utility Bidder of our departure from the property, and that this constitutes a breach of contract. We dispute this, as we acted in good faith, relied on the information provided at the time of cancellation, Utility Bidder have not contacted us at all, just got a legal letter from a company called pre action and given 21 days to pay

David Grimshaw was professional and helpful. Although setting up the new contract was slightly more complicated due to the old supplier, David navigated the process with great knowledge. A pleasure to do business with!

Katrina Baker has provided the most amazing guidance and support in reference with our continuous complaint to Yorkshire Gas and Power, which later resulted in the Ombudsman taking on our case. Without her continued help and professionalism I do not believe we would have obtained the favourable decision made by the Ombudsman. Katrina has gone above and beyond her duties and is a credit to Utility Bidder.

The staff at Utility Bidder are just so nice to deal with. They cannot do enough for you and take all the stress away from organizing utilities. I can honestly say Liz Sandilands is so good at what she does, very knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone to use Utility Bidder they are just down to earth genuine people.
