You told me my bill would start when my…

You told me my bill would start when my contract ended. I've now had a letter estimating over £130 in cancellation charges.
Utility bidder have now replied to me and despite assurances to the contrary , did not take the time and due diligence to check if a contract was still in place.
Abysmal service

Escaped just in time ! READ CONTRACT & avoid

Escaped just in time !! Utility Bidders found me a zero daily rate Electricity contract at 72p/kw hour which was ideal for us --- as we only use LED lighting in our small showroom. Luckily I read through the contract on Docusign and noticed that IF the contract was signed but was not taken up by the electricity supplier OR failed in any way OR I did not inform them if I was closing/selling the premises that they would CHARGE ME £750 for breach of contract / loss of their commission !!. Their sales guy told me that this was STANDARD PRACTICE and EVERY OTHER Utility switch company did this too !!! Upon checking this out I found this not to be true. AVOID.. AVOID.. AVOID !!!!

We can confirm that this clause is included in our Terms and Conditions; however, we don’t believe it’s something that should discourage businesses from making use of our service. Our goal is always to operate to the highest professional standards, and we have extremely thorough quality-control processes in place to ensure a smooth transition between contracts and suppliers. While these steps may not always be visible, they are consistently carried out with care and precision.

This clause exists because, unless we’re informed of any changes, these processes are completed as standard for every contract. That said, we fully understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and we always take our customers’ situations into account. To maintain the level of service our customers expect, we simply ask that any changes that could affect a contract are communicated to us as soon as possible.

We hope this provides some clarity around the clause in our Terms and Conditions, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

What Could be easier to save you money

Contacted Utility Bidder via a few basic details uploaded to the Enquiry form online. I had a reply within a few minutes from David via email and he offered to go over some further details over the phone. A Short phone call from him basically saved our small business £1600 a year with little or no fuss. Utility bidder were happy to do all the ground work and switch from one Electricity supplier to another or us. What more could you want. A big Thank You

I was contacted by George Ogilvie as our Church Gas contract had cone into the renewal window. He expained clearly what tariffs were on offer, and I chose to renew with EDF as before. He was very polite, professional and got the church the best deal going forward.

Electrical supplier changeover

This is a shout out to two gentlemen of Utility Bidder, Karl Jeffcoat and Paul Hanson. Cheers fellas the changeover of electricity supplier was anything but seemless, but because of these two stalwarts of the company, issues were resolved and I was kept updated and informed constantly during the process. Karl even broke down the difference in out of contract (deemed) rates compared to in contract rates. To see how much I was being overcharged, down to the penny. The process was candid, transparent and professional. No hard sell here. Sure you pay for there service. But you know how much you are paying and it's money well spent, especially if there are bumps along the way. Much obliged fellas and it was a pleasure doing business with you. Ps, I seemed to be now drawn to the Burnley results on a Saturday afternoon. Thanks for that Paul 🙄😂
