So glad I found this service by chance, was so fed up looking for perfect colours for my children’s rooms wasted hours and hours, one WhatsApp chat with 2 very helpful ladies and I have nailed 2 bedroom and a bathroom schemes! So grateful for this service it has been invaluable and taken the headaches away .

Excellent service listened to my queries. Just 1 star off as did take a while to get back to me at times so more of a half a day to find my colour but luckily I didnt need the paint today!
Very helpful and I will most definitely use again and recommend to others!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS PAINT!
Professional painter and decorator of over 25 years.
Update on previous review....
The only thing worse than the paint is the customer service they provide. They have a policy of deny, delay, confuse. And if you have the patience to continue your complaint, they try to intimidate. (Kelly from customer services) I have had my time wasted time and time again..for over 9 months now. Even had a rep see the issue with his own eyes, admitted it was a fault with the paint and still they insult me with their response.
To date, this company has cost me over £3.5k. And my client STILL has a paint that turned bright green after it reacted with the caulk.
Valspars expert advice......to strip each room and start again at a cost of a minimum 9k.
They are a joke.
Do not waste your money on this product!
Further update......now two months later (11 months since start of problem) and they still insist on wasting time, confusing the situation, and now back to denying it was caused by a faulty product even though they already accepted it was.
For legal reasons I must point out I have pictures, witness accounts to verify my claims. (One of which is a valspar employee)
Do not risk using this paint company!

Bought valspar emulsion from b&q for hallway walls and interior wood satin in matching colour for staircase and banister. Put simply it is the worst paint I’ve ever applied in 30 years of decorating various houses , coverage is awful , 3 coats on walls and now on 2nd coat to stairs and still not covered. Now have to buy more paint to finish job .
VERY DISAPPOINTED

I bought some of Valspar Premium Matt Emulsion from a local B&Q who mixed up the colour that we wanted.
I hadn't looked at the reviews prior to purchase, if I had I probably wouldn't have bought their paint.
I used the paint in a new house on previously painted white walls and found that it was easy to use, it covered the white as well as any other paint I've used. In total it took 2 coats as usual. It was easy to cut in using the paint as it's slightly thicker than Dulux for instance.
I didn't have any issues with it at all. I've not had to try and wash any bits of it yet so I can't comment on that side of things.
I will say that it doesn't go as far as Dulux with it being slightly thicker and the paint tubs are not easy to open or close. But the paint itself was good.

I bought 5 litres of silk finish emulsion for walls , this was excellent - great colour, applied easily with roller, good coverage and finish
I also bought 500ml gloss in a complementary colour for the woodwork - skirting, banister etc. this paint is rubbish, I have only done one coat so far but it is incredibly streaky - I wish I hadn’t started, coverage is hopeless, this will take 3 or 4 coats to get a reasonable finish
I will be sanding it down and buying an oil based gloss

Incredible service from chloe our colour expert today. She really listened to what I wanted and gave options not just one choice. Easy to use service will definitely be using again!

The colour experts are very polite and knowledgeable. All together a pleasure to talk to.

If I could rate it 0 I would. 3 coats and it's still streaky. Finally come to remove the tape as per manufacturer direction and the paint peels like plastic. Walls were prepped properly paint applied properly and still looks like utter rubbish. Will never buy valspar again. Now either have to live with it or sand and repaint with Dulux. Do not buy!! B&Q should go back to mixing Dulux!!

Bought the matt furniture paint to makeover our kitchen chairs, and wanted a specific colour from the in- store mixing service.
Can only describe the results as abysmal. I carefully sanded and prepared the chairs but the result is drippy, wrinkled and already peeling off. Complete waste of time and money, wish I'd read the reviews before buying, and gone with Frenchic instead; have used that for years with great results.

What a great service, the whole process was so easy and I got a lovely mood board at the end and got the colour that suited me

Tried to get support and advice on their Plastikote product but messages via their website just go into a black hole.
Buy a different product.

After having Valspar Simplicity paint recommended to me I bought20 litres for my sitting room and my “heavy traffic” hall stairs and landing. It has been on the walls weeks and has had a few marks on it. I have tried to clean these marks off with a sponge and mild detergent and the paint underneath is showing through. This is completely unacceptable after three coats of paint were applied. This paint was very expensive and with the cost of the decorator I feel completely out of pocket as I am going to have to re paint these walls. A very unhappy customer!!!

Bought 2 different colours of paint. A dark grey and a Moroccan Market Orange. Both to cover existing white walls. The grey paint covered well in 2 coats, the orange required 4 coats and still now looks streaky. I wouldn’t dare take a wet cloth to this paint because a small water drop leaves a mark. This was the premium supposedly durable paint I bought at £37 for 2.5 litres in B&Q. After a week of being on the walls we started to put the bedroom back together after redecorating. Any small touches with anything and the paint just scrapes off. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A DURABLE PAINT compared to other durable paint brands. Colour range aside, I would not recommend this paint. Stick to the tried and tested durable dulux at the same, if not cheaper price.

Does not do what it says on the tin!!
Recommended by B&Q (rude lady said no one had ever returned any!?). Says washable, lies, stays fresh, lies!! Girls marks did not clean off as instructed and instead took the paint off!! Avoid at all costs

Absolutely awful paint ! They even admit in the email when I complained that its a known issue and that I should clean the wall after a week and it will take a few times to hopefully get rid of the streaks ! I used the kitchen and bathroom paint and followed the instructions 2 days between the last coat applied and first shower and there are streaks all over the wall and the smell is disgusting and is still lingering! I used to be a decorator myself so I know what I'm doing hands down the worst paint ive ever used and is not fit for purpose, B&q should take this out of there stores and have nothing to do with them. The customer service advisors just ask you a barrage of questions to try and blame you and are of no help at all I'm currently asking for a refund so I can go and buy dulux or even Leyland paint !

This was so easy to use, and the advice was do helpful, particularly as I was really struggling with colour choices and the assistant was able to showcase lots of different options.
