Paint
Very disappointed with this paint.
If I could give zero stars I would. I bought this on the recommendation of a member of staff in B&Q to repaint wardrobes, bedsides and a chest of drawers. I followed the instructions precisely, fully preparing the surfaces. The paint is very thin, I applied three coats and it has taken me days and days to complete. Whilst they look ok when painted the paint scraped off when I was putting a shelf back in the wardrobe and that was some days after application. Also it marks very easily and it is difficult to wipe it clean, marks and scuffs simply will not come off without rubbing which makes the paint will come off. I bought three different colours, 2.5 litres of each. The paint is not fit for purpose and I will need to start again with a decent quality paint. I only wish I’d read the reviews prior to purchase. I would certainly not recommend this paint. I have painted furniture many times before, using different brands of paint and have never had this problem. In my opinion it just isn’t suitable for the purpose suggested, it’s very shocking that this company continue to sell this paint given the terrible reviews. All these customers cannot be wrong.

Similar to all the other comments and wish I’d checked - we bought 3 x colours on 3 for 2 at B&Q spending over £80 on paint and it’s awful and such a waste of money. Coverage is awful, colours don’t match what was expected even using their colour charts and checking multiple times. Do not buy this paint - it’s a false economy and you’ll end up spending more money and time fixing it. Not sure what to do with the paint we have as we have little confidence using it now.

Recently purchased Classic emulsion for living room. Did a feature wall in another colour. Painted the rest of the room in what we imagined would be a good contrast but after living with it for a couple of days realised we'd chosen the wrong tone to work with the other colour. We bought another shade and re-painted. This second shade was exactly what we wanted. We used Valspars Love Your Colour Guarantee to apply for a refund for our first purchase. After sending photographs of the 2 colours side by side and the receipts, we then we spoke to the customer service department and were told we would be refunded. The whole process was very easy and customer service at Valspar was excellent. We've used Valspar paints several times and would highly recommend them.

I ordered 3 tins at £75 each, specifically asking the staff member “will it look the same as the colour sample on the walls” just to find it’s absolutely nothing like, looks salmon pink and not at all what I wanted. I now have £225 worth of paint that I now cannot use.

Bought three 10L tubs of white cliffs from B&Q to decorate our downstairs over Easter.
Opened the first tub and started painting it on the wall but the colour looked completely different than the ticket - it looked like raw plaster with a pink tinge.
Tried to return it to B&Q but they said we had to contact Valspar customer service but not to worry as they were very good and would quickly sort a refund.
This did not happen. Had to make many phone calls and send many emails most of which no one replied to. They kept asking for more and more details and photos then after all of that said they’d only refund the opened tub not the two full/sealed ones. We even suggested they could collect them or we could take them back to B&Q but they just said no.
This has been so stressful and upsetting. Do not buy valspar paint- stick to dulux which is what I wish we had done 😞😞😞

Iv been painting over 20 years- worst paint iv ever used. 3 coats in and still needs at least 1-2 coats. Avoid and buy good brand paint!! Not worth it

After painting many interiors over the years, this is without a doubt the worst paint I have ever used. Yes, the colour options are fabulous, but the quality of the paint leaves me astonished that it's still being manufactured and sold.
From a basic white starting point, my burnt orange emulsion has had 3 coats and requires a 4th due to poor finish and strange depth of colour in patches. The matt wood paint is even worse and my door frames have now had FIVE coats and are still not sufficiently covered, It's too late for me to turn back now, but I will NEVER purchase this low quality rubbish again!

Useful to have the option of getting colour chips with a potential voucher for buying paint. Unfortunately not all of the colours I wanted to test were available as a colour chip. Also, it should have been possible to order 10 colours but when I had 9 in my basket and tried to add a 10th, it said the number had been exceeded. Also, it wasn't very easy to find information about complementary colours.

Really helpful and was patient with lack of experience when choosing paint colours. Two beautiful colours chosen for my daughters bedroom

We bought the premium bathroom paint for our ensuite bathroom and there are lots of drip marks on the walls from where water has splashed out onto it from the sink and shower. Do not waste your time on this paint!

Took far too long to find co-ordinating colours to go with the colour I have already bought. £5 to purchase 10 x small bits of card colour samples is a high price to pay compared to fabric, floor, kitchen cupboard door samples/swatches I have ordered from other suppliers. Overall, not impressed with this website. It needs work.

The worst paint I’ve ever used for internal doors. It claims to be excellent for scuff and stain resistance — absolute rubbish.
Even after leaving it to dry for a month, it scratches easily and can be peeled off.
It was expensive and marketed as a premium product, which makes it even more disappointing.
I would have been better off buying shed paint — that actually lasts.
At this rate, I’ll probably need to repaint all my doors within a year, if it even lasts that long.
What a complete waste of time and money. Never buying this brand again.
Doors were sanded prior painting.
It looks like this paint not currying properly .

Bought Valspar "Premium" for my sons room and the spare room. We went for "chartreuse" in my sons room and "utopia beckons" in the spare room. My sons room was a disaster, the paint peels off at the slightest scratch despite thorough preparation. Despite being marketed as "scrrubable", it it is nothing of the sort. If you never touch it, don't try to hang any pictures up or attempt to clean or wipe it im sure it would be fine. As for the spare room, it didn't peel or scratch off but the colour looks absolutely nothing like the colour card. I understand paints look different under different lighting conditions but it looks NOTHING like the colour card and I mean nothing. Save yourself time, money and stress and do not go anywhere near this brand with a barge pole.
