Buyer beware

Buyer beware -booking was easy BUT....was informed that there'd be additional charge if delivery took more than allotted 30 mins - I accepted this. Driver lied about how long the delivery took - was within the 30 mins. But the text informing me of the driver's claim + I'd have to pay more was delivered at 22.15 - when I was asleep- and as there was a requirement of "you must reply within 1 hour if you dispute this", I was unable to dispute matters. Waited 10 mins on customer care line - gave up. Waited 35 mins for online customer service to be told I could dispute the time and that the time of the text outside their control. No point in pursuing as driver will just say same and the firm will just say "outside our control". Shady practice and an easy way to get extra money!!! Use this firm at your peril.

WORST SERVICE!!

I booked SHIFT mover via vanplus, did not allocate me any drivers, past hour of my booking time did not even have the decency to let me know that I won't be picked up. Had to cancel, charged me with a fee, phoned re: refund, said will refund me, no email confirmation sent, charged me anyway, phoned the customer service agent named CHRIS who is by the way the rudest of all. Keeps insisting that they sent me an email and I will be refunded. Seriously the worst experience ever!!!!

These people constantly call you after you get an online quote. So far today they have called me at 8.29 am and 9.24am. Harassment. AVOID!

Left me with no ride in the middle of the night

When using the app for the first time I ordered a ride and after waiting for 20’ the driver made me get out of the car and cancel the ride because he could not find the previous client before me. That was around 00:45 on a saturday night. When complaining to customer services the girl did not even read my complain and replied something irrelevant.I will look into what I can do legally since they have failed to provide the service I booked.

Hi all

Hi all. I've already reviewed this terrible company but still see people are being left out to dry by them. There is currently an online petition on change.org that I urge you to sign, highlighting the shady practices of Shift/VanPlus. You can also find out much more about this company by contacting me through Twitter and Facebook as I've done quite a bit of research on them. The more voices speak out, the more likely the people running this business will be held accountable.

DO NOT USE THEM

DO NOT USE THEM! They are just awful! Unreliable, rude drivers, inflated charges, no reply from customer service on complaints just completely ignored. The customer service e team works night shifts and reply in the night so you cannot resolve any issues with efficiency and they point blank just refuse refunds. I book a ride it says 10 minute arrival and then 40 minutes later it is still not arrived and makes you late for meetings and work. Typical waiting time for a taxi is 20-30 minutes. Do not use this!!!

I've had the absolute worst experience…

I've had the absolute worst experience using this company recently.

I will start of with their website, there's a complete lack of information on it (would have been great to be informed that cancelling my drive the next day of booking even before it was allocated to a driver would still result in a cancellation charge, or even that a cancellation charge would be incurred. The website is not user friendly at all and downright gives wrong Information. I was booking for 2 person which shows as £25 but then shows as £40 on a different page.

When I called to complain about this and request a cancellation the person I talked to was rude and kept interrupting me.
Didn't receive any emails for the entire span of a month, not to confirm my booking or the several times I tried to contact them using the chat option on the website and dispute my claim.

Booked with Van Plus

Booked with Van plus cancelled the service after I changed my mind not to use there service still took out £583 out of my bank still trying to get my money back Scammed my bank card they should be on Watchdog please do not use these better van removals company's then this they cost more but you don't get rip off. Telephoned Van plus they offered me a refund of £40.00 after I email about this they said they booked the driver do the job and van for the move but I cancelled the service straight a way Halifax bank is investigating this and trying to get my money back I have sent bank emails that they sent me.

desperate Con-Men.
Do not give them your telephone number they will ring you all the time with sales calls. When you try to ring their office they do not answer.

Avoid like the plague. Can i give negative.Scam and all talk. They DO NOT have fleet of vehicles they use independent unverified drivers.

They promised to have plenty of drivers etc and when it cam to the day the driver who refused to speak english turned up for a simple point A to point B local move and was witnessed hanging for an half an hour at point A then decided to not move a handful of items and left.

DO NOT USE. The customer services are a joke and do not care. They driver claimed that he did not even have the address to go to even though the information was on the confirmation email i was sent. Fraudsters and wannabe van company. Now left in a position where i trusted them with unattended access to my items as i could not be there and based on reviews below i now worry about damages they could have caused.

After speaking to customer services they have said they have removed the pre payment details but will have to check on week day. Again con men. Avoid.

Had a terrible experience with this…

Had a terrible experience with this company. Booked them for a shoot to transport one table from Hull to London and back again the following week. The company took extra money out of our account weeks after the job! The drivers were really late arriving - over 4 hours late in one case.
They have been really unhelpful and don't answer my calls so we haven't been able to resolve the issues properly.

If I could give it negative stars, I would. I am in the middle of a house move right now. Booked with Van Plus, got a booking confirmation from Shift and the drivers have not shown up. It took me 5-6 phone calls over an hour to finally get through to customer service - chat function on their website not working - and they tell me there is a glitch in their system and they don't have a driver allocated to me. Absolutely horrendous service on move in day. They even told me IT has known about these problems for several days and have been trying to fix it SO WHY LEAVE YOUR BOOKING SYSTEM OPEN?? Avoid at all costs unless you're a glutton for punishment. AnyVan and other companies are much better and that's where I should have booked in the first place.

The first red flag was when they took…

The first red flag was when they took the money off my card before the job was completed. The driver was then 3 hours late, even before he started the job he was saying how it would take him longer than I had been quoted. When he was 3 hrs late he said there was so much traffic. After he did the job, I got a text to say the job had taken the driver 4 hours eve though it hadn't. After seeing all the reviews on here, I called my bank and tried to block my card before they could help themselves to more of my money which they didn't deserve.

Avoid at all cost!
I have asked for a quote from their site. After two weeks, they called me numerous times to arrange my moving! I also received a confirmation email with all the moving details, in which it was mentioned: £211.99 - Pre-authorised on your card, Not Taken. I contacted them many times to clear out this booking! In the online chat, they replied every 1 hour. Then, I called them and after many trials, I finally talked to them. I explained that I did not book with their company as I had already booked with anyvan. They asked me to book to them with the same money that anyvan asked me. After I refused they were rude and closed the phone.
They are still calling me. I had to block their number.

I do not know if this is a real moving company or just a fraud! Please someone clarify that!

Total scammers !!

Total scammers !!!
On the day of my house move I booked a time slot of 1-4 , when no show by 3pm I was starting to panic , they had still not arrived by 330 But then had a call to say they didn’t know when they’d be there as they’d be over booked !!!. So I had no choice to cancel there services .
I was forced to use a different company who turned up quickly and efficiently but they still charged me for a service they didn’t provide .
Hours of countless phone calls and been given the runaround trying to get my refund I was sent a lame email saying I don’t qualify for a refund !!! even though nearly 3 hours later they still hadn’t arrived and they were at fault !!
There is no customer service and the number they give you just rings !! Rings !! Rings !!
Total rip off of my hard earned £263 !!
Do not use this company unless you want to be ripped off .
Even the message they respond with to the reviews is totally ridiculous !!

Was just trying to get a quote and they…

Was just trying to get a quote and they have charged me £78!! I haven't even used their services! Now they are not answering the phone, or their chat function on their website. I am so annoyed and already calling my bank to cancel the charge. The bank can't help much yet, but DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Even after calling the number they have provided below, and spending an hour being thrown around they are still not giving me a refund. Legally, I have time to cancel and receive a full refund. This company is a sham.

I booked a sprinter van and two men

I booked a sprinter van and two men . Two men turned up with a car and trailer . Luckily the large tables just fitted but certainly not what was quoted for . They did arrive 10 minutes late but were finished within 35 minutes with help by two extra people to load and off load.00BeZ1
