A V O I D This company at all costs!!

A V O I D This company at all costs!!! My driver took an extra 5 minutes to drive to my destination - his fault - he tried going down a street his van wouldn't fit down. And the company is trying to bill me TWICE as much as my quotation for going 5 or 10 minutes over time, and it wasn't my fault!! it was the drivers fault!

Nonsense - you guys wouldn't even answer the phone after you'd made the sale. The sales guy promised me one thing, and after a driver error, you guys intentionally took the first opportunity to DOUBLE charge me, citing VERY VERY small print (almost invisible) as your justification, and then you stopped receiving my calls, or responding to my emails. You are the most deceitful, dishonest, shady sort of company i've encountered in 18 years in London. I hope my review serves as a warning to anybody who would consider using your company. **hey everyone** just go with a generic *man with van* who will quote you a flat rate - or Addison Lee courier - these guys will rob you giving the tiniest window of opportunity.

Terrible

Booked a van for 2pm. Van never turned up. Took over an hour to finally speak to someone in customer service. After trying to cut me off numerous times, I kept calling back and they eventually told me they could get me a van for 9pm. I decided to cancel as was moving house and wanted to move during the day (as planned). I was told I would be charged the full amount for cancelling the van. I've since heard that VanPlus does this regularly and I was advised to change my card details in case of fraud. All in all - terrible.

If I could have given 0 stars I would. Do not use them. I booked a self loading van to move house. The booking was for between 10 and 11am by 11am no van no contact. Then a phone call to say they couldn't supply a van. Rebooked for between 1 and 2 pm. 2pm came and went. After trying to get through to someone for 1hr got through to be told once again no van. Rebooked for between 11 and 12 the following day 12pm came and went still no van. Called again to find out that the driver had cancelled the job due to the weather.thanks for letting me know. SHOCKING SERVICE. IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE THE VANS DON'T BOOK CUSTOMERS IN.

Long time to get back the refund

I booked the van for 1st of March day before. They send me and me e - mail that in regards to my booking cause of bad weather they will processed the refund for me. What they said in email : "Refunds can take between 7 to 10 days to be credited to your account". Apparently it's more than 2 weeks now, and I still don't have money on my account.
However first time in my life I'm meeting with such a disagreeable service, and refund delays.

Definitely don't book with them, scammers.

I hadn't used this service before

I hadn't used this service before. I was slightly disconcerted by confirmation of who would be arriving not arriving until the day before but I needn't have worried- on time, very efficient and friendly. Easiest move ever and highly recommended

From Start to Finish those two Lads Worked there Nuts Off!!! & They went over there time&got here 15mins early!!! & If you talk too Tim or one of the office staff they will look after you!! This was the 2nd time I’ve used the…

This was the 2nd time I’ve used the service for moving properties. The first time was adequate. however my rating is mostly based on the 2nd interaction I had with them. it took several attempts to actually book the van (online and over phone were tried and tested methods of mine) on the day of the move I wasn’t informed that my driver and their van had broken down and i was sat waiting at my property waiting for over an hour until I contacted someone, I was put on hold which is expected but the call was then disconnected after 12 mins telling me “goodbye” as it went. I called back and was informed of the circumstances and the agent used the phrase “I can only imagine” when referencing the issue, which didn’t really instill trust in me towards them or the company as a whole and I won’t be using it again after this time. I was told that a driver will be due between 5 and 5.30 - 6 hours later than a originally planned! It caused a lot of issues to my day and made me rearrange things which was a huge inconvenience - the driver when they did arrive however was very good though, he was efficient and quick loading and unloading and I must say he is a credit to his profession - it’s a shame that this will be my last interaction with him because he was great! The company and the customer services agents however were very inadequate.

Van with man hire

DON’T use. They rip you off. Rang about 10 times to ask about my booking. And got fobbed off. Then they took £40 out my bank without permission. Still trying to get through to customer service. If I could give them -1 I would.

Horrific, distressing, thuggish

Very good at taking a booking but my experience following that was horrific and distressing.
In December I was ensured that all Van Plus drivers come with a van that is fully equipped (blankets to cover mirrors, etc) and that they are an experienced crew.
my driver (Fahad) arrived unnapoligetically 3 hours late, in a van with no moving equipment. he had a friend with him and it became apparent that this second man had no experience whatsoever in moving furniture or loading a van.
On one of the calls to Van Plus I asked what experience that second man had and the person on the phone admitted that they only check the drivers and that they had no record of the second man. I was beyond SHOCKED and concerned for my safety as I had 2 men in my house, one of which could have been any form of criminal.
I grew very uncomfortable with the two men as the driver was becoming impatient and aggressive towards me when I mentioned that they were loading and unloading the van and then loading it again (owing to the second mans obvious inexperience) which was eating into the time I had booked them for.
When we got to the new property I would not let them in and had to assist them in doing the furniture as they made me so uncomfortable that I wouldn't let them into the new property.
All this time I was calling van plus for help or advice and they just didn't seem to care.
The live chat is just garbage and another method to ignore customers who are asking for help.
the driver tried to bill me for twice the amount of time. I disputed this but Van Plus still took the full sum, even though on their website they declare that they will only take the sum owed after a dispute is settled.
I spoke to a man from Van Plus named Sean on the Monday who said in a dismissive tome that he " didn't have time to waste talking to me" as he had other people on the line.
I disputed the payment through my bank who retrieved some of the money and then continued with a messy and incoherent dispute through Van Plus. I had taken photos throughout the move as evidence of shoddy work and a failure to fulfil their part of the job and sent these to Van Plus via email once they had requested them. Van Plus returned the overcharge of £160 however,
considering they failed to comply with the sale of goods and supply of services act, Van Plus should have legally returned ALL the money they charged.
But they just want a fee for the terrible job and a terrible service and you should save yourself the horrific experience I endured and bring your custom to a different company.

This feedback is exclusively for the pathetic service provided by Van Plus.

This feedback is exclusively for the Van Plus company and does not reflect the service provided by the driver. The pick up time was scheduled to be between 8-9am in the morning. On the day before, the contact details of the driver provided to us were incorrect and there was no way to get in touch with the driver or their support team on the morning of the booking as they don’t open until 9am. Also, the telephone numbers provided on the website are useless as all you can do is leave a message and wait for them to call you back. It is very inefficient as we ended up having to wait until 10:30 for another driver to finally show up and complete the move.
I will not be recommending them or using them for another move in the future.

Our driver was excellent but...

Our driver was excellent. The service worked out ok, but we weren't filled with confidence as a result of the reviews. Our originally assigned driver cancelled the night before, I wasn't informed by vanplus. So when he didn't arrive I tried to call them, but could only leave a voicemail. I rechecked their web page and could see another had been assigned. I called him, he arrived about 50 mins after the agreed time which wasn't a problem for us. More just about worrying no one was going to turn up. They also took the money from my account immediately, despite it saying on the website it was just to reserve the slot. In the end it went well. But they have got a lot to learn of they are to be a viable business.

Great service

I booked online with less than 24h notice, got an instant and competitive quote, driver was assigned within 1 hour and was very responsive to text & voice comms.

Driver arrived 10 mins before scheduled slot and the move went without a hitch.

Overall I am very pleased with the service.
