User friendly and good value for money
Poor, Misleading and Dishonest Service from Van Plus and their Customer Care/Service Team
I am sending Van Plus a copy of this negative review in order and in the hope they might improve, but from their attitude I don’t think this is likely. I had to lodge a complaint with the Management of Van Plus about their poor service which was misleading and dishonest. I was quoted a fixed price by Christoph, and telephoned Van Plus twice to confirm my booking a few hours later on the same day, was told that they were open until late. No one at Van Plus got back to me. I contacted the company the following morning, again twice, no one returned my call. I eventually spoke to someone who made several excuses and informed me that my details on their system about my quote was lost. This didn’t make sense as Van Plus initially contacted me from the information I provided them through the internet, and Van Plus assured me that my details were stored on their computer. I was then not impressed at the price being £19 more expensive. The person I spoke to, after speaking to their manager, said that my price was promotional (they never told me before that this was promotional) but less than 24 hours later, regardless of them not answering my telephone call, they would not honour their quote and price and now wanted to charge me much more. I've wasted nearly two hours with this company and more time writing this review. Van Plus have not kept to their promise and I cannot recommend Van Plus to anyone. It is a pity that I did not read the other reviews about Van Plus and their shoddy customer service. Christopher

Driver Ola arrived on time and helped to load and unload. The move was hassle-free.
The driver came late and they over charge your debit card
The driver came late, I was waiting for him downstairs, we move immediately he arrived, and the journey was less than 14 mins from SE23 TO SE6, how come £50. and this happens off peak hours. No loading or off loading required. Please don't give your debit or credit card details they will over charge you times 4 without refund.
Sent a Van a day early
Sent a Van a day early, and I had to send him away. Then on the website it said that the job was complete. There is no customer service line for me to call, and disputes can take over 48hrs. Now I have to try and get my money back! DO NOT USE!

Not quite what I expected such a big van for a small job but, what holds a lot holds a little!
I booked with Shift so not sure what Van Plus has to do with the job?
Van driver gets very little of the cost charged yet he uses his own vehicle, fuel and insurance.... Not what I call a good company whichever name you run under??
Horrific experience DO NOT WORK FOR OR USE
Do not use this company, I have do work for them as a removal service got under payed considerably, and they also over charge the customer, the only people who win are a corrupt agency who run a call centre in the Philippines. Honestly folks be warned get a local removals company and save money and time, they ignore customer and drivers alike. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK DETAILS

Good experience service wise, website was a bit iffy
Admin issues.
Driver was fine, but there was some problems with admin as the work was still booked even though the driver had declined. I was sent driver info, he told me he had not accepted the job, he had to call admin to sort out and as a result I had to wait half an hour longer with the guy I was collecting the sofa from. I had to be at work at 5 and because the driver got there at 4, after admin problems, I was late to work. Not very happy with the service from the company and will be complaining. I didn't even get an email confirmation. The driver was very apologetic and friendly and was the only part I would rate as good
I do not recommend VanPlus service
I do not recommend VanPlus service. On the day of the movement when they are suppose to arrive between 12-1pm , I get a call at 12pm saying they cannot provide this service, they couldn't even arrange for another vehicle.They don't even have proper phone number to call them, its only through online chat.
Horrendous service - Not getting away with it
This company is the worst company I have ever tried to get a service from. My wife and I booked through them to take a couple of items from my mums home to ours. This has happened literally now, we have been kept waiting for four hours. Our first driver got into an argument with Van Plus who were not paying him his due rates so he’s cancelled the job. Van Plus then allocated a second driver who on her way to us after keeping us waiting for 3 hours suddenly her van broke down 2 miles from our house. We then got back in touch with van Plus who said they will allocate another driver who will be with us within the hour. We got a text with a drivers name. We wrang the driver and he had no idea who we were or didn’t even know what the job was. After our conversation he advises us he doesn’t work in Sunday’s, he would not be able to help us however if we wanted to go through him in the future direct he is happy to help. In the end we’ve been left massively inconvenienced, didn’t provide the service, took our money of £119 and I’m absolutely not letting this go. I will not let them screw hardworking people like myself and my wife, take our money, provide a horrendous service and think they can get away with it. I will be at least try and report them to trading standards. They should not be allowed to operate when they deliver this type of service. I’m not having it. They’ve messed with the wrong guy.

My driver Gabrielle helped me load and unload the mattress I bought, which involved a fair bit of stairs! He arrived promptly and was extremely friendly. Could not recommend more!
confusing and dangerous mixed communication.
The Subcontracted van company who delivered the service were great but Van plus were confusing for my self and the other company - substandard. Van Plus mixed up accounts, driver's and pick up times, so there were some panicked and confusing calls hours before my actual pick up time. A driver did arrive on time at the right address but they had not been given key information that they were to be moving a piano and so did not have the correct equipment or number of lifters. This is not only frustrating it is dangerous. they were very professional and with the help of some gracious neighbors we got the piano where it needed to be. From now on I'd cut out van plus as a middle man and go straight to the local trust worthy company.
Tried to change requested day with less than 24 hours to go.
Informed us with less than 24 hours to go that they were having trouble finding a driver. Booking made and payment taken 3 weeks earlier. After many difficult txts and phone calls, eventually got Nathan, who was excellent, on time for him but four hours after original booking. Go for specialist carrier this firm uses a network of others
If it wasn't for the driver Daniel
If it wasn't for the driver Daniel, I would have given no stars. I was initially quoted £36.39 for 2 hours and then was called to say that my quote was wrong and that my payment was only for an hour and a half despite the website stating two hours. The woman I spoke too was not very understanding of my situation and when asked to speak to a manager, she claimed the manager was 'sick' and therefore unable to come to the phone. The customer service experience is disgraceful and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I will not use this company again! The website mention that for a 'man and a van' service the driver help you load and unload the van... however this is misleading as when the driver arrived at my flat he said that he was not able to leave the van, and not allowed to enter my flat to collect the boxes. No the service I ordered at all!!!
This company is miserable
This company is f* s*. I have booked a removal service one the before and the called me saying that is possible no worries at 5 o'clock the driver will be there. I could wait 1 hour half and anyone appeared. Straight away I called and texted to the company anyone... answered. Unprofessional, embarrassing and miserable is my opinion. Don't trust this company.

The day before the move they still hadn't found a driver but would not let me cancel to look elsewhere without losing the full cost. Even an hour before the move they guaranteed I would have a driver. They called 1/2 hour after they were supposed to arrive and said they could not find one. We were left in house with furniture dismantled and surrounded by boxes with no-one to move us (3 days before Christmas). Absolutely worst service ever. Staff all liars and never returned calls when they said they would. Never ever ever use them!
