Have had a great experience with Vanzone

Have had a great experience with Vanzone, ordered my Ford ranger wild track in June through dale, it was expected delivery for mid - end sept , it arrived on 11th oct and delivered to me on the 18th, in this climate a couple of weeks over due isn’t bad , Emily at customer services was also very helpful, would highly recommend Vanzone .

Vanzone can't deliver on time but won't refund deposit

UPDATE: We did receive a refund of our deposit, although this was not originally forthcoming and for that we thank Vanzone.

We have had a similar experience to other unhappy customers. Paid a £1000 deposit in April 2021 for delivery June/July.
Were then told there was as a delay to September.
Come September we are told there is another delay to February/March 2022.
Reason for ordering the van was so we would be ready for the introduction of the ULEZ zone in October 2021. Waiting until February/March would cost us thousands having to pay ULEZ fees in the interim.
Can't cancel as that would mean we forfeit the deposit, and Vanzone won't refund it, in spite of the fact they have been unable to fulfil their delivery promise and still can't give us a firm delivery date for months in the future.
Be very careful about what you sign with them, their obligations are very vague about when you will get the van and they are quick to fall back on the fact it's not their fault - Brexit, global pandemic, shortage of parts ...
They say they can't cancel with the manufacturer so clearly they have no relationships with manufacturers.
Simply asking for our deposit back due to failure to deliver the product but met with a flat no.
Their sales person has told us they can sell that van over and over again because there is such a shortage, but they are not prepared to return our deposit and do that.
Not sure the order, or van, actually exists.

Hi my name is Robert if you are thinking of buying a van don’t deal with no other company but Van zone even if they are maybe A touch more money ask for John what a lovely man he has time for you he will do what ever he can to try to do the best for you he just doesn’t say yes it’s this price goodbye he will call you back go over loads of details try to work things out for you not for him for you he put the customer first I am that way in the next three months I will drop in to see him with a few bottles of wine take my advice use Jon At van zone when you are considering paying thousands of pounds to A person at the end of a phone it’s very worrying when you speak to a salesman who is very blunt straight to the point take it or leave it not with vanzone not with John when you finish your first conversation you will feel at ease and happy to do the dealHappy driving fellows get in the zone

DON’T BUY FROM VANZONE

I have one in white priced at £20’280 + VAT and RFL

this is the e-mail we got in april from vanzone, saying they have 3 vans in stock. the next day we paid the £1000.00 nonrefundable downpayment. a couple of weeks after we had a phone call from vanzone telling us that they are not going to be able to deliver till august, and after we told them that we are not happy with the fact that they lied about having the vans on stock, they said they will deliver in july. but in july we got another call from vanzone telling us that the delivery need to wait till august. I posted a 1 star review on trustpilot and the next day some other person from vanzone called and offer to give us the downpayment money back or if we can wait till august he will deliver in august. because we needed a van and ordering one from somewhere else would have got us the van later that that we asked them to have the van delivered at the begining of september, so that it will have a 71 plate. they said it won’t be a problem and the van will be delivered with 71 plates, but he asked us to remove the review, which I did. however a week ago they started calling again this time saying that the van is here and if we don’t have it in the next 10 days, with 21 plate, we will need to wait until november. so my advice is: DON’T TRUST VANZONE, don’t do bussiness with them, cause they missold us a van, and I can guarantee we are not the only ones

Originally your van was due to arrive in May. Ford then delayed it.

We spoke to you about this, and the different options we could offer to you.

You said that if you could have a new September registration plate then you would keep the van.

We took this idea back to Ford, initially they agreed.

Then, Ford said that your specific van HAD TO be registered on the current 21 number plate due to new emissions guidelines.

There was nothing more we could do about this. SO, we offered you alternative vans that would meet your needs. You didn’t want these.

We could provide EITHER,
A). Your original van on a 21 plate
OR
B). An alternative van that would suit your needs on a 71 plate.

You were not happy with either of these options, so we refunded your deposit in full.

How could we possible be more reasonable?

We have done absolutely everything we could to keep you happy.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic there have been supply issues here and there, and unfortunately, it meant that we were at the mercy of the supplier in this situation.

We have never lied to you.
We have updated you with every piece of information we had, as soon as we had it, AND we have offered you many suitable alternatives.
There was nothing more we could do to keep you happy.
That is why you have had your money refunded in full.

I spent months researching which…

I spent months researching which transporter van to buy and from where, luckily for me I decided to go with Vanzone. It was by far one of my best decisions ever. I initially dealt with Dale for the whole order and spec process who’s knowledge and professionalism was superb. His personalised style and friendly nature made me feel completely at ease throughout every stage of my order. Both he and the Admin team were extremely slick. At one stage some of the order details were handled by the owner Jamie, he was also first class and handled my query with complete confidence. Overall their customer service is outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thanks Vanzone.

Vanzone cancelled my factory order 5…

Vanzone cancelled my factory order 5 months after paying my deposit. They said they could reorder it for me at a higher price. They refused to honour the original contract price. I found out from internet forums that they do this regularly. Other customers had their September orders for the same van cancelled in January (at the same time that they accepted my order). If you cancel the order you loose your deposit, but if they decide to cancel it they just refund the deposit .They blame the manufacturer for cancelling the order, but I don’t believe them. I would definitely not try to buy from Vanzone again.

The manufacturer has pulled your van from production. This should not happen but unfortunately Covid and Brexit have had a worldwide impact on vehicle manufacturing and it is completely out of our control.

You mentioned that you have been on the forums, so you should be aware that this a nationwide issue with VW supply. This is not specific to Vanzone.

We would never “decide” to cancel any customer orders. We do not benefit in any way until a van arrives at your door. So we are just as frustrated as you are, and we are deeply sorry. This issue has not arisen before in this industry.

As for now, your money has been refunded in full as requested. Should you ever need anything we will be more than happy to help in the future.

At Vanzone, our team has banded together to work through any issue that this pandemic has caused. Although your experience has not been what we wanted this time, we will always endeavour to resolve any issue and we are confident that you will not have a single problem should you choose to work with us again.

Poor Customer service....

Ordered a new Renault Master van in January. Was told March/April delivery. Chased up and was told May delivery and the van was registered. Last spoke to customer services on 21st May was told they would find out and call me back the same day.
STILL NOTHING !!!!! Now having to spend money on our old van that should have been gone by now.
Update. We now have a delivery Date of June 3rd.
Another update. It's now 18 June. Van was damaged on the way for delivery. Now can't even get a delivery date or find out how bad the damage is.
Had payment in full and this is where we are !!!!

Misleading adverts

Deciding on purchasing a new van for the business, the deal looked a good deal with the importance for us of van being delivered within 7 days as specified in the advert and the salesman also clarifying this.

Passes finance, paid £500 deposit and waiting for van 7 days later did not arrive, had to hire van following week at cost for us and their excuse was stuck at port in Bristol. into the 3rd week was given a delivery date faith lost by this point as had van on hire and had read reviews where people were experiencing the same as I was with months wait times. Phoned Peugeot in Swansea picked up van same week, they actually had one in stock. THEY WERE STILL ADVERTISING THIS VAN DEAL 2ND AND 3RD WEEK KNOWING THEY COULD NOT DELIVER! DEPOSIT NOT REFUNDED STILL!!!!!

Hoping for a good ending !

Hopefully things will improve as I have not yet had the van delivered but my experience is not great thus far !
Mid April - couldn’t decide whether to buy a new van or 2nd hand as my priority was quick delivery so I rang Vanzone and explained.
Mid April - Mike from Vanzone advised that he had some Citroen Dispatch’s coming in at end of April that would be with me early May.
Mid April - I asked how confident he was that early May would be achieved and he said that Citroen was one of the more reliable suppliers - I paid my deposit.
End of April - I asked if they had a firmer delivery date and if not then asked what timescale I could expect. Advised that the van would land at port within two weeks.
Friday 7th May - I rang to check progress and was advised that they would ring me back. A message was left on my voicemail to say that the van was ‘on the water’ and they would ring me to advise when it reached port - time for me to get excited.
Monday 10th May - I rang and was told it had landed and they were just waiting for the supplier to confirm a delivery date for the end of the week and I would be contacted when it was confirmed.
Tuesday 11th May - I rang as I hadn’t heard anything and was advised that the van was not due to be delivered to the UK until the end of May and I wouldn’t get it until start of June !! I queried this because of the contradictory information I’d been given previously, no real answer as to why but I would be contacted by 14th May as they were going to see if the supplier could bring the date forward.
I’ve heard nothing else yet, I’ve explained to Vanzone that I only ordered a new van because of the quick delivery but I now regret it - suspect I’ve been strung along by sales team optimism!!
I still want the van but I would really appreciate it if Vanzone could be truthful with me and live up to the promises that they refer to on their website about keeping me informed.
Most recently I have been dealing with Claire from the admin team and whilst I am disappointed that she didn’t ring me at the end of the week as promised, I am hopeful that she will do the chasing that she promised!
Here’s hoping ! Stay tuned !!
17th May - just had a phone call from Cath to advise of the reg number for my van and that has arrived at port. I am starting to warm to this Company !
24th May - the end is in sight. It is such a shame that the communication with regard to progress has been totally driven by me. The end of every conversation that I have had with Vanzone has been them telling me that they would check and ring me back, on only two occasions has this happened as I have made contact with them the day after they were supposed to ring me back.
As you will see, from the start, my priority was to get the van quickly and I was told that it would be with me at the start of May. Last Friday I was told that the earliest possible delivery date was after 1st June - so all the promises of chasing and getting the van as close as possible to my desired date turn out to be a ruse.
Not sure if all similar companies are the same but if there is a lesson for Vanzone following my experience it is to make sure that they keep their customers updated with honest, factual updates and stay clear on making promises that you have no intention or ability to adhere to.

I do need to purchase more vans in the not too distant future, if Vanzone had been upfront and honest then they could have secured these sales but I will be giving someone else a go !

As a final comment, the Vanzone employees seem very nice people despite the fact that they didn’t follow through on their promises.
My delivery date is 4th June.

We appreciate all feedback, although we do feel that this review is unfair.

You have not explained the full situation.

You say that you feel you were misled about when you would receive the van but that just isn’t the case.

As discussed in our many emails, you said that you understood COVID must have an impact but you don’t seem to have taken that into account with your review.

COVID has had an enormous impact on the industry and the information coming back to us from manufacturers is vague at best.

We are only able to pass on the latest information we receive.

At times, we don’t understand what’s going on either, manufacturers tell us one thing and it changes.

We have been repeatedly let down by suppliers and have increased the lead times we quote to account for this.

Unfortunately, there have been a few cases where the delays have taken the delivery date beyond the extra time we had allowed.

There is just no way of getting accurate information.





I would like to point out that unbeknown to you, your delivery date of the 4th was actually pushed back yet again to the 8th.
Our Customer Service manager intervened and spent a great deal of time discussing this with the manufacturer.
The end result was that your van was delivered FAR earlier on a single transporter at an extra cost of £323+VAT
(We have not charged you).

This is just one example of some the relentless work that was going on behind the scenes to get your vehicle delivered asap.

Our customer service team are going above and beyond during COVID by constantly chasing manufacturers and delivery companies.

Our extra costs and doubled efforts were not originally communicated to you because we’re not bragging about it.

We’re focussed on the task at hand - getting your van to your door as quickly as possible and making it as pain free as possible for you.





Our industry is upside down at the moment and we are working incredibly hard to minimise the impact to the customer.

Occasionally, things don’t go as planned but our actions clearly show you that you are with a company who care.
We are way ahead of other companies in our industry with our outlook.
We find a solution. We will go out of our way to do so.





We know that none of this will change the fact that we have not updated you on what has been going on as much as you would have liked.

But we are using our mistakes to move forward and improve.

Although we’re not flawless yet, we are addressing every issue and we will get it right.

We aren’t just doing this to make careers for our team, we are doing this because we are working to change the van industry for the better and 98.9% of our customers will tell you that we’re doing exactly that.

If I could give less than 1 star I…

If I could give less than 1 star I would of !! Ordered a transporter at £31,000 inc Vat on 12th December 2020 & was given a 12/16 week delivery time. I had no update whatsoever until I began to chase them at the end of March. I was then fobbed off saying that VW were not responding so there was no update but then was offered a refund ?? I obviously didn’t want a refund I wanted the van they’d promised me, on this I then joined a VW forum to try & find some more information regarding my van. A guy on the forum contacted me saying he’d had the exact same issue with the same company & therefore had to reorder with another dealer.
I also fount out that it’s down to allocations so if they’d already been used up by Vanzone that I’d never get my van !! I was also told that any van ordered from VW comes with an order number beginning with a number 3 so you can track the progress & delivery date , when I asked for this they went silent ( surprise surprise ) I was now told on this phone call that my van was definitely not going to arrive because VW weren’t going to make it so I should get a refund. So I’ve now waited almost 5 months waiting for a van that was never going to arrive & the price has risen by £4K !!!! To add insult to injury I then had to wait 10 days to get my deposit back (unbelievable) How this company manages to trade in this way is beyond belief, so if you want an actual van to turn up go else where instead of using these con artists !!!

With COVID, BREXIT and numerous other global issues affecting van production some manufacturers have pulled vans from right beneath us. We understand this should not happen and it is completely out of our control.
You have been on the forums and no doubt have come across this, this isn’t a Vanzone issue this is nationwide.
We do not benefit in any way until a van arrives at your door. So we are just as frustrated as you are, and we are sorry. Unfortunately this has happened a few times recently but through absolutely no fault of our own. Unfortunately Covid, Brexit and a lack of semi-conductors has had an impact on the van market as a whole, not just our company.

We refunded your money immediately and sent you a screenshot of proof, the delay is caused by the card issuer not Vanzone. This would apply to refunds from any retailer.

As for now, your money has been refunded in full as requested. Should you ever need anything we will be happy to help in the future.

I have had the same experiance as the…

I have had the same experiance as the other bad reviews . Ordered a van in january. Called to check delivery beginning of april. Was told i would be called back. Called over the next 3 weeks and no reply . Finally got called back 22nd april to be told it would be july and another 2.5k. If i hadn't rung i would never have known. Why advertise if you cant deliver. The guy kept saying they left messages. THEY DIDN'T. so disappointed. I have had a reply apologising which is fine . Its that they ignored me and no updates. Trustpilot dont seem to hsne a reply option!!!

We are really sorry, this is not at all how we wanted your experience to be.

The manufacturer has pulled your van from us. This should not happen and it is completely out of our control. The issue has been exacerbated by the fact your order was on a model change (the manufacturer stopped building your vehicle and began manufacture of the newer model sooner).
We do not benefit in any way until a van arrives at your door. So we are just as frustrated as you are, and we are deeply sorry. This issue has not arisen before and should not happen ever again, unfortunately Covid and Brexit have had an impact along with fires in microchip factories and all sorts of strange goings on. These issues are UK-wide and have stopped vehicle production in a huge way.

As for right now, your money has been refunded in full as requested. Should you ever need anything we will be more than happy to help in the future.
