BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE - Like other consumers, we need the option to rank 0 stars. Scam and also like others I should have checked and not got caught up in the pictures. I feel for the scam, sweater I received is nothing like the picture, looks like a large when I ordered a 2XL. Not accepting returns on sale items, offered 10%. I said ok, because I'm just done, I fell for it, my bad. I also thought the products were coming from Vancouver, when it took more than a week to arrive, I assumed things were not as they seemed. Very disappointing
I usually wear a size large
I usually wear a size large. But I ordered a size 2XL. It feels like a medium. They don't pay for mailing returns back to them.
I will never buy from them again. Order #5192.
Junk for products and poor service
I ordered 3 pairs of shoes that smelled horrible and size was too small even though I order my correct size. The quality of of shoes is extremely poor. I reached out to their customer service and was told they don’t do returns and I was offered a measly 10% back and as I threatened to report them to Better Business Bureau of Canada (which I am in the process of doing) they offered 25% refund. This company is a scam with junk for products and they have poor customer service! DO NOT ORDER anything from this site! Lesson learned for me!!!
STAY AWAY FROM VELOURA!
Does not deserve even one star.
All aspects of their business is fraudulent:
- fake price points over-valuing product
- fake descriptions of product quality, product style and fibre content (using untrue specifications in their ad listing)
- misleading consumer by posting photos of high end original designs while sending cheap low end knockoffs that are not worth even a tiny fraction of the deliberately misleading price points listed
- fraudulent return guarantee that amounts to illegal activity according to standard consumer laws (ie. using misleading and false marketing and product specifications and only selling clearance/sale items… yet constructing a return guarantee policy that applies ONLY to NON-SALE items!)
- company is not registered in Canada and therefore operating illegally here (check your own government portals)
- mislead the consumer by attaching your local country/city names to their Veloura company name, conveying that they are a local business (Note: If a company does not post their phone number and business address on their website, don’t trust it. The Veloura contact page is misleading and does NOT lead to expected support or business accountability.)
- manipulative customer service response indicates their unwillingness to take any accountability and that they never intend to honour a dissatisfied customer’s request for a return label (third party intervention required for this via bank or payment app)
- they are fully aware of their betrayal to consumers and their fraudulent websites, claims and marketing strategies, yet expect the betrayed consumer to take the hit
- definitely scammers (vendor and/or manufacturer) who don’t give a crap about human decency and integrity
- PS Don’t expect a consistency of sizing. I ordered 3 sweaters of the same size and received 3 significantly different sizes. The website specifications did not match the products sent.
False advertising
False advertising - the picture and description show a knitted sweater, but what they delivered was definitely NOT a knitted sweater. They refused to accept a return “no questions asked” as shown on their website.
REVIEW OF VELOURA-VANCOUVER I purchased 7 sweaters and 4 pairs of…
I purchased 7 sweaters and 4 pairs of boots and truly wish I had checked this site prior to ordering. Cheap quality merchandise likely worth much less than I paid for it. Content of fabric unknown since there is no English on the tags. I was sucked in by the photos and the name of the site Veloura-Vancouver which makes it sound like a local company (I reside in Vancouver). Also fooled by the statement saying last day before going out of business and "Sale ends today". This is absolutely untrue. I hope you do not make the same mistake that I did.
Absolutely horrible sweaters
Absolutely horrible sweaters, definitely not what they advertise. Cheaply made, snags in arm seams and not from a LOCAL shop.Misrepresenting 100%. Same quality as Wish and Shein.
Sizing incorrectly shipped
Ordered a large sz. jacket, what arrived was a jacket that was small, labeled as large.
Filed dispute with PayPal, agreed to give refund but I had to ship back with tracking number to Hong Kong, cost of purchase was $89.95, shipping back would cost me $65. Now I filed a dispute with AMEX.
Update:
Got full refund from Amex, have not shipped back product unless they agree to pay for shipping.
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM
This is a very big scam.
All sizes and products were wrong. Cheap badly made materials.
The 3XL didn't fit a 175 lb 5foot 8 guy.
This is not a Vancouver store that is closing. It's a portal site for a Chinese scam.
I bought 5 jackets as gifts and only 3 showed up and they insist that I signed for them. Funny because what did come was left in the lobby in a large building and they sent a pic of the lobby.
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM
I'm trying to get my money back from my bank.
This "Company" is Fraudulent
If I could give 0 stars I would. I should have researched this company before ordering the boots. I ordered the cutest pair of navy blue ankle boots. The "boots" that arrived don't look anything like the photos. They are so cheaply made that they won't even stand up on their own. They are so cheap I won't even donate them. I wrote to the company expressing my disappointment. They have offered me a 10 percent refund as a gesture of good will. It makes me sick to think that I spent $80 on nothing but crap. Don't order from these people. It's a scam. Do your research first. I wish there was some penalty for these fraudulent companies.
It is a scam website
It is a scam website, they advertise on false products and a refund promise. The items described as cashmere are cheapest polyester, arrives in smelly 3rd grade packaging and they don’t respond the refund requests. Dont ever shop anything. It surely is not legit
Disappointing waste of money
Disappointing waste of money. Photos of products did not match items received. Cheap materials. Does not match descriptions. Products will ship directly from China, if they ship at all. Don't waste your time or money. Glitchy website, claims of "going out of business", stolen images - all of these should have been red flags that this is a scam.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam! I bought two pairs of shoes that were “on sale” due to closing out. Original price was over $200. You can imagine the quality I was expecting. They had 4.8 Trust Pilot review score. Obviously that is fake data. The shoes were so cheap I would say they were worth $30. Not the $80 I paid. They also sent the wrong size. Although I have no idea how they would even know what size they sent as there was no sizes on the shoes. Because they were on sale, they won’t offer a refund. Everything is on sale. I was able to send them back at my expense of another $30 and they would exchange the size. Or they offered me a 10% discount and then 20%. I’ve now asked for 30%. I also reported the fake TrustPilot reviews on their site.
Crap company
Crap company. Don't get scammed. The items are super cheap, and made and shipped from China, not Vancouver. They look nothing like in their "catalogue" online, which seems to always be on sale. They won't refund on sales items. The print is a complete blur on the hoody, it is not lined, thin, and is made of unknown man-made material. The garbage is about the only place that these junk items should go, or maybe my kids can cut them up for halloween costumes.
This is the worst scam ever
This is the worst scam ever. There return policy is made so that you cannot return the item or with higher cost then the product himself. Also, the quality is so low for the price they charge. I definitely got scam on Instagram. Don't encourage them.
If I could give this company zero stars…
If I could give this company zero stars I would. They are purely false advertising. I bought 3 sweaters which they claimed were Islandic Sweaters and showed a knitted style true Icelandic Sweater picture on their site with hood. When it arrived it wasn't even made out of wool! It was a printed very thin hoodie. Wasn't lined like the picture. It didn't even have a tag on it other than the size to say what it was made of which is illegal in Canada. "Under the Textile Labelling Act , the following must be labelled before they are sold in Canada to consumers: any textile fibre, yarn or fabric. any product made in whole or in part from a textile fibre, yarn or fabric."Scam website. Will not take returns on sale items. Offered me a 10% discount then 20% and I keep the items. I refused again and offered me 30% refund while i was writing this review.
